God Dammit Cancer
Something like 1 in 3 people are directly affected by cancer, it just sucks. My condolences go to everyone who has lost someone due to cancer, it's a terrible thing. I'm lucky I guess, no-one I know has had cancer.

Game developers.
EA is considered this giant corporate monster which churns out games and flattens the little guy. Whilst the little, private games companies tend to make their games with love and care. I think it's not quite that black and white, it's somewhere in between.

Digital art Signatures made by SirHemen - NEW AND UPDATED!
Never ever ever merge all your layers. If you really need to, create a copy of the gimp file and merge that, so you always have a backup version with the layers. The most important thing you need to learn about graphic design is to be non-destructive. This means preserving the original images as much as you can. For example, in Photoshop, if I wanted to delete a section of an image I wouldn't just use the eraser tool, that is permanant once the history state has been overwritten. Instead I would use a layer mask, because that can be edited later on, and the original image is still perfectly intact should I want to do something else to it. I don't know if the gimp uses layer masks or the equivalent, but this is a very good practise, so try to guide your designs around it. It will help you in the long run.

Digital art Signatures made by SirHemen - NEW AND UPDATED!
You have the basic elements of signature design- a background, a render and some text. What you need to do now is refine them into something more advanced. Your colour pallete (the colours you have used in the picture) are a bit off. They clash too much. You need to use colours that compliment each other. As a general rule, use colours that can be made from the others. For example, if you have orange, you can also use red and yellow and it will work nicely. Similarly, blues and greens work very well together.

It looks pretty nice, I'm hoping to make a portfolio site soon. What webhost are you using, and how much does it cost per year? Also, under 'useful links', where is Tip.It? Edit: To increase the usability, I suggest you set the DA links to open in a new window.

Web Design/Web based scripting
Thanks JoeDaStudd, it worked! Trying to be consistent with every browser is such a pain, especially when the major ones are fine, and it's IE, the most popular, that doesn't conform.

Quest guide.
If you want to be a Tip.It researcher or crew member, just make valuable and consistent posts in the Website Updates and Corrections forum, in the Quests subforum. Maybe you'll be recognised for your ability, and you may eventually be asked to join the team.

Web Design/Web based scripting
When I do that the Links div gets shifted down as there isn't enough room to have them all on the same axis. That's why the content is at 59%, but that also makes that white strip appear. :x

Web Design/Web based scripting
I am using w3schools to learn html and css. :P And also I'm not using a program like Dreamweaver, although I'd like to get it. A user here recommended HTMLkit, which is very useful.

Web Design/Web based scripting
I really getting into this stuff now. It took me about a day to learn HTML to a good standard, and literally a few hours before I understood CSS. Now I just need to practise making some websites using them.

I (thought) I had Diabetes (discussion changed)
Diabetes is genetic, so chances are you do have it. It's not that bad, lots of people manage to live perfectly happy lives with diabetes. Joke: What's big, grey, sits at the end of your bed and takes the piss out of you? [hide=]A dialysis machine![/hide]

Cant put avatar on -.-
I assume you mean you can't upload it directly from your PC anymore. What Mlbfan13 said, you have to use an image host and copypaste the code in.

All in favor of leet speak being banned on TiF?
I'm pretty sure most people can tell when 1337 speak is being used ironically etc. I'm not really bothered by it in small quantities. Usually it's to exaggerate someone's response: However if someone posted entirely in 1337 then I'd just remove it or get them to translate it to English.

'1337' counts as an annoying posting style, and it would be removed if a Mod saw it.

Question about Torrents and ownership
It is still illegal. Yes, you have paid money for the original, but there won't be a rule that stops you being prosecuted since you bought the actual game. Otherwise it would be far too easy to get away with it.
