Haha yep, the U-District Rudy's. They're usually fine, but the guy did mention that he was pretty new. May consider the Cap Hill location next time, they were good the last time I went there.

Idk, just the cool new trendy haircut. Last year undercut, this year man bun. I've always thought I look better with longer hair so I'll embrace it. It'd be really convenient if my ability to grow facial hair wasn't shit, but oh well.

Got my hair cut at this edgy barber place. Told the dude I was going for the topknot/manbun style so I needed the top to stay the same length but the back and sides shortened as I'm waiting for it to grow out. He said he was going to do it pretty short, and I'm like yeah that's fine. Now I am Macklemore. Looks like its beanie time for a few days...

G-Eazy played a free show at my campus at the beginning of the quarter. Performance-wise it was fun and he drew a big crowd, but man G-Eazy sucks. Trying to get a couple friends to see Julian Casablancas + The Voidz and Mac DeMarco with me in a couple weeks. @Kalphite I could never really get into Flying Lotus. I've listened to Cosmogramma a couple times but it didn't really do anything for me. Obviously I'm missing something, but I never found his music very interesting.

I'm sorry but I listened to them and that was terrible. I grew out of that kind of metalcore and the "parody" lyrics just made it worse. Sry bae I still enjoy some hardcore bands tho. (do we still have to give profanity warnings for videos? if so, here's my warning)

Had a really great weekend. I turned 20 yesterday (hard to believe), so on Friday a couple of my best friends drove five hours from home to hang out for the weekend and experience a taste of the college life. On Friday night we all just hung out with a bunch of other people and got really drunk and played video games and listened to music and stuff which was awesome. On Saturday we were fairly tired/hungover but we went to Capitol Hill and looked at a ton of cool stores and ate unhealthy food. Then we saw a concert that night (The Horrors) which was actually a great show despite us previously not really listening to them at all. And today we just ate more and enjoyed the great weather before they had to head back. It was a really welcome break from the intense workload I've had so far this quarter. But now I'm back at it once again.
  11. You realize that anything beyond high school level stats requires clac, right? http://www.cengage.com/resource_uploads/downloads/1439049254_242719.pdf Other than the one calc class I'll have to eventually take, the only other math I'll need is a couple of stats classes (which are technically psych classes themselves) that I'm quite certain don't involve us using calculus. They're still supposed to be quite difficult though.
  12. I'm taking math now in college for the first time since my junior year of high school (not counting ap stats). For a bachelor of science in psychology at my school, you need to complete precalc and calc I. I probably could have placed into calc I, but I wanted to have a basis for math knowledge before I went into calculus having zero conceptual knowledge of anything, so I took precalc. It was probably a mistake. Precalc is easily the most difficult course I've taken here thus far. It's manageable, but the class moves at a ridiculously fast pace and the specific teacher I have is notorious for assuming we have a lot of prior knowledge of stuff that most of us don't. Everyone I've talked to says precalc is way harder than regular calc. I took a midterm today that left me feeling mentally violated. It's just really frustrating because this "kind" of math (read: not statistics) is more or less completely irrelevant to any field of psychology. But I just don't want a BA, so here I am. Thank [bleep]ing god my roommate is an EE major who likes helping me.

Today, I had two things to accomplish: do my laundry, and do a decent amount of math homework. I did neither. :/ On the bright side, I got my new iPhone all set up and working without losing all my contacts again. And it didn't come with iOS 8 installed, so I don't need to worry about that messing it up for now.

Yeah, I know iPhones definitely have their issues, but my android currently needs to be charged like 2 or 3 times a day. It's some kind of hardware (I think) problem where it thinks it's "awake" even when I don't use it whatsoever. I've been troubleshooting for months and have just been kind of annoyed by android devices in general, so I'm making a switch over to iOS while I have a good opportunity in terms of pricing and stuff. I'm gonna get a 5c, so assuming it comes with iOS 8/makes me update to it, hopefully it doesn't affect it too bad.

What iPhone did you have? I'm switching from my android over to an iPhone for the first time because of battery issues, but I don't wanna get an iPhone that can't handle iOS 8 because I assume it'll come installed with it.

I thought the torrential downpours in Seattle thing was a myth yeah it rarely rains very hard at all, but it just rains lightly a lot. which still gets you plenty wet when walking to class tho

I think that's what makes me like Michael as a character so much. He's a juvenile moron so much of the time, yet ultimately he's well meaning, has a passion for sales, and wants the best for his employees. Just embrace his stupidity.

Not really, I think he was a little too stunned that someone actually asked him that in the first place. He was just like "uh... yeah... you don't need to ask..."

First day of classes today. In my first class some freshman raised his hand in lecture and asked the prof if he could go to the bathroom. Dear god.

The Office is probably my favorite show ever, but if you despise awkward-situation type humor then you should just stop watching now because that doesn't stop at all really. I don't even know why you would watch The Office if you hated that type of comedy.

Pulled an all-nighter with a couple of my best friends. Drove to the top of a mountain and watched the sun rise over our part of the city. It was pretty beautiful even though we were all very exhausted yet shaking from caffeine intake + a lack of food. Now I gotta fix my sleep schedule, [bleep]. Leavin' for college in 4 days, pretty wild that summer's ending already. It's too bad that I'll be away from my friends from home, but I'm definitely in the mood to be productive and actually learning things again.

In that awkward stage of wanting to just start the school year, while also wanting to savor the time I have left over the summer with my friends who are here at home. I'm fairly excited to meet new people and try new things in my next year of college, but all my closest friends are here. I leave for the school year in 11 days, dang. I still don't actually start school until the 24th though. On a different note: it's shitty to see a good friend turn into someone that's just no longer fun at all to be around. Getting dependent on weed is a very real thing, and it can make someone become so incredibly dull and just... unmotivated to actually do anything interesting in life. Everything in moderation, kids.
