Shit man. I'm on what, my fifth week of class? Why such a late start? Yeah, it's a bit unusual. The other big state school around here started in like early or mid August. I dunno what the reasoning is behind it, I guess we'll just get out later. ¯\(°_o)/¯

College has gone along well for the most part so far. Lots of new experiences and changes. My classes start up tomorrow.

I'm also just hanging out in my dorm right now. Third night. The past few days have been pretty hectic, but I'm finally starting to settle in. My roommate is a dude from China. I hate loud people in the dorms. Luckily it hasn't been TOO bad. Earplugs help a lot.

Officially moved into my dorm room for my first night. It's pretty darn quiet right now, I guess a lot of people still have to move in. I'm hella mad at the lack of WiFi. oh well

I've used my Dell desktop regularly (perhaps too regularly) for over 4 years now and haven't encountered a single problem.

I'm sure the outrage would include something about casino's and being red backs anyway you look at it something equally insulting and ignorant. I'm ashamed to be an American sometimes simply due to the belligerence the greater population displays toward such trivial "issues."I agree they're being stupid, but a few cherry picked ignorant tweets do not represent the mindset of the majority of the United States.

Facebook is one of those things that I kind of love and hate at the same time. On one hand, it's incredibly handy for chatting with friends, getting invited to events, getting college information, etc. But on the other hand I don't care about 95% of the stuff in my news feed and I check it way too much for how much I'm actually getting out of it. oh well. just waiting for the next big social networking tool that everyone will move over to and hate within a year.

I recently tried the aforementioned chicken and waffle potato chips. Well, they weren't awful, but they weren't exactly good either.

I found out that my roommate is for the upcoming year is going to be a Chinese dude. Haven't met him yet, so that's all I know. Should be interesting, at least.

I saw BAAO a couple months ago. Their performance was pretty good and I enjoy listening to them occasionally. I'm annoyed by that band + their image for a few reasons that aren't so easily explained though. They also have a new song coming out tomorrow, so I'll keep an eye out for that.

The person buying the box put 20 bucks in and paid 30, for a total expense of 50 dollars. When they buy the box back, they've still lost 10 dollars.

I'm actually in Seattle right now. I'd ask where to get that delicious steak, but I know there's no way I could afford it anyways. College orientation tomorrow.

Y'all don't even know 'bout my Spotify swag, I got it more than 4 years ago when it wasn't available in the U.S. and you needed a UK proxy to sign up.

Approximately 27k a year here for a total cost (tuition, housing, food, etc). Fall, winter, and spring quarter make it about 9k per quarter (which I guess is really more like a trimester since there are three I attend, but whatever). Extremely glad that I've had parents and grandparents who have helped saved up, because there's no possible way I could "work my way" through college at this point. I'm sure I'll still end up with some sort of student loan debt though. And that's on the average/slightly cheap side for a state school :/
