We're actually talking about drugs ("psychopharmacology," to be specific) now in my biopsychology class, and it's incredibly interesting now that I understand how they work on a physical, neural level. It's also making me want to try a bunch of drugs, which probably is not the best thing.

Anyways.... yeah you can do stuff with a psychology degree (although I'm somewhat biased speaking as a psych major myself), although you generally get a LOT more out of it if you do graduate work, even just getting a master's. A lot of people going into psych tend not to find very good jobs though since they just go into the field because they think it's interesting and don't really care to specialize in anything.

I think one other thing we can all agree on is that you shouldn't be so quick to dismiss the educational choices of others when you spell "bachelor's" as "batchellors."

Are there any schools in your state that you could go to that would provide a somewhat similar level of education to Georgia Tech without the sticker shock, or is it too late? Tbh if you actually go through with engineering then you shouldn't have that hard of a time getting a job in general, so it shouldn't matter TOO much where you go if you just want a good, well-paying job. No reason to pay the out-of-state cost for that and go 100k in debt when you could have substantially less debt for a similar degree at a state school.

Been pretty happy lately. I did surprisingly well with grades this quarter, I finally resolved a big problem with my high school language credits transferring properly so that I don't have to take any college foreign language, I found an interesting minor that complements my major well, I got a new roommate who doesn't suck like my last one, and I just bought tickets to see Danny Brown with a friend in May. Also I'm finally on break and I'm able to relax at home and be content doing nothing. The weather's also been really nice here lately.

Vodka, orange juice, and Indian food made a horrible combination. Acidic orange rice vomit everywhere. Bleghhhh Wasn't the best idea to do that during finals week either, but hey, I've only got one left and I got 102/106 on one of 'em, so I'm not too upset.

I pretty much always at least skim all the new posts in OT, I just don't contribute that much anymore. While I'm here, my roommate annoys the hell out of me. He has the most bizarre sleep schedule in the world that essentially revolves around him sleeping all day and staying up all night. As you can imagine, sharing a room with someone like this gets annoying since he likes to talk on the phone and have the light on when he's awake aka when I'm asleep. Luckily I'll be switching rooms soon if everything goes according to plan, so yeah.

I don't see how people could even drink 12 beers. Like, I'm just talking about pure liquid consumption here. I'd have a really hard time drinking 12 cans of any sort of beverage in a limited period of time.

Uhhh I think it's generally more of a surprise if an RA doesn't shut down a party...

It snowed for the first time here on campus this year. Just a couple inches, but it was enough for hundreds of people to go outside and have a mass snowball fight at nighttime. I'm soaked and exhausted, but it was fantastic.

My biology class has 3 midterms and a final... and we're on a quarter system. :wall:

Just got offered a job as a housing tour guide here at my university! :D I'm really pleasantly surprised, I thought the interview went pretty badly because I was nervous and unprepared for its level of formality, but I guess I did something right.

Welp this weekend was fantastic. Barely any homework, plenty of fun and alcohol, and the Seahawks' first Superb Owl win was pure decimation. Time to inevitably get my ass kicked by school this week and get told that I didn't get the job I interviewed for B)

Seahawks completely blew out the Broncos. Watching the game was fantastic. Everyone here is going crazy, the frats are lighting couches on fire. Downtown is also going insane, people flooding the streets and shit. It was awesome.
