I agree that some parts of 'old' Rs2 were far superior to today's counterparts, (Pest Control for example) however most changes, in this case, have been for the better. I believe you mentioned how simple the game used to be?? Personally, I applaud Jagex's efforts to keep a "simple" clicking game fun and enjoyable for hours.... Overpowered weapons?! Do you notice that the so-called 'overpowered' ones happen to be the most expensive on the market? (Ex. The Godsword for like 50mil) People who have spent many hours of their live earning money have to spend it on something! Who doesn't love seeing their character hit a "70" on someone!? But that is beside the point.. Basically, this high price makes weapons like The Godsword very uncommon indeed.. Now, if such a weapon spawned in Lumbridge garden every four minutes so that everyone could have one for free, then I would call a weapon overpowered. Plus, does Jagex really have to nerf every weapon they come out with?? Just look at what they did to the poor Granite Maul, it's practically useless now.. This adds to another point of mine- the so-called 'inexpensive' items. Here you are comparing apples and oranges. Yes, a whip was 6mil back then, but that was only when it was new and exciting, and there wasn't much other weapons to choose from. Not everything is cheap either- have you looked at the price of big bones lately??

I could be considered a hacker. I am extremely knowledgeable about computers, knowledgeable about protocols, how to get into certain systems, and I'm a nice guy. I even have a life. How could I be considered an idiot? I don't take the time to "hack" RuneScape accounts, nor do I take the time to consider it. (All you'd learn from social engineering is that people are careless with their passwords, and that's common knowledge.) What I do "hack" is either the Linux kernel, to see if I can get more out of it. (Compiling kernels from source...that'll eat up a weekend for ya.) Learn the definition of a hacker before you call them "antisocial idiots" please. [in case you're curious, I'm referring to definition 3.] 'Hacker' is a broad term. As you may notice, their is more than one definition on that sheet.. I was refering to the scum that 'hacks' runescape accounts for fun or creates macroers to 'improve their Java skills'.(although that technically isn't a hacker thing, but you get my point.)

Oh no? Why are there tournaments all of the world for shooters, football games etc? It takes skill, ofcourse everybody can play it but not on the same level. All shooter games require is good reflexes, which you ether have or you don't. My point was that RuneScape isn't hard, it just takes a lot of time to be good. And I don't like that, it could be made a little harder imo. (not quests that are able to do, without guide, within the hour - ME pt2 and RFD are the ONLY quests which are very hard without a guide. (and yes will holmes I did it without a guide) WoW isn't easy, and yet it's a MMPORG. Hm. I know it's clicking, but I hoped for some more (intellectual) challenges. Most quest are simple kill x and collect x challenges that anybody which half a brain and a mouse can do. You're an idiot. I'll tell you why. I never scammed in my life, I never have had any black marks, warnings or even mutes. I always followed the rules and never did any harm to other players. I was just saying that if you are a new player, you normally don't have cash. So the people with enough cash to buy a rare, and are so stupid to not investigate first which item is rare or not, don't deserve a rare. If I would sell you a rake, and i'd say it's worth 10 mil coins, don't you first search/ask friends if it's really worth that much? I hope so. This was done to prevent the people standing in the 'rares' section of Varrok wrld 3 from team scaming, i.e selling spinach rolls for 100k and buying for 200k. Next, they shold make charcoal and area books untradeable.. Again, I never scammed in all the time I played RuneScape. I never lured, because I retired solo PK-ing when RS2 came out and I only was in THE-clan. Then how the hell can you judge pking as it is today?? I never trash updates. I just say that JAGeX uses the quantity over quality principle. The example of the gnome update was because I'd rather have 1 good challenging quests then 2 additions to a gnome cuisine. So every single update Jagex releases has to be a super hard, high level only dungeon or quest?? They can't have un things or mid-level players anymore?? It's a rant forum here. Yah, and it's perfectly okay if I'm teamed and killed by a clan of lvl 60's with 90ish strength each and they screamed 'PWN3D, N00B!!one!1!@" in my face when I die with my armor. And it would be honorable for a pure to fight without a weapon if they keep hitting 15's on me! Seriously, the whole concept of pures and honor is shot. Why? There are no requirements to be a macroer!! There can be a macroer lvl 100! Time simply doesn't matter to these people...

A 400g(big bones) for like 20ish exp, prayer doesn't make money at all. In fact, you mostly lose money.. This is exactly what happens when Jagex goes on macro purging raids... You either take higher prices and ethical business or lower prices and unethical business.. Just like the millions who protest Walmart yet shop there all the time because they have the cheapest prices in town..

If you don't find this game fun, don't play. If you find this game fun, then play. Yes, this game has issues, but I hardly agree with your over generalizations about classic.
