  1. Anyone played the game Diablo? Well there aint a night and day setting in it, but they got something Jagex could use. Your hero gives light, why? Because hes a hero! :) Well we could be hero's aswell and give light too, right? :D
  2. I would pay 30k for each knowledge book, thats the same amount I need to pay for big bones to get the same xp.
  3. It would be disappointing if they would had shown screenshots of pvp minigames, something im hoping to be great now.
  4. Sorry to say this, but i think he aint ;) Or my laptop is lying to me... not that i thrust laptops... :P
  5. Lordjake, can you please stop ignoring everyone that asks if Krentje10 could be added?
  6. I've been playing: Diablo Diablo + Diablo Hellfire Diablo II Diablo II + Diablo II Lord of Destruction And I can't wait to add Diablo III to this list! : I've been waiting for years for this game and seeing these vids and pictures I know it havent been for nothing : Ps: Someone said Blizzard don't create bad games or something like that, well they did, Diablo Hellfire is the worst expansion you can ever think of, and expansion that takes away things? Rofl... Diablo III should be better then that, and it probably will be
  7. If you need to do a quest before you can report maybe the CS team will have less reports, but we will have way more rule breakers in RuneScape that don't get there ban when they ask for it. How can one check be enough, everyone is sometimes having a bad day and your telling me one check should be enough? No way. When you make a maximum amount of reports you can do, not everyone that should be reported gets reported. I don't think any of this is good for RuneScape, everything you suggest will make it for rule breakers easier to do so. The only good point about this topic is that you didnt suggest rule breaking should be legaliced because then the CS team can help us in a other way.
  8. Ok, I checked it yesterday and members got shown with pay details, so I tought maybe it works again. Later I figured out 50% of the F2Pers got payment details so maybe your right :P
  9. No it wouldnt be the same, recreating RuneScape will make guides useless and you have to figure out whats a good way to train, a new continent will only make you compare the training methods on that continent to existing training methods. Things as the wilderness are as big as when you could fight there, even now nobody goes there to fight (the area around minigames), just change it.
  10. The thrill that could come back is a pro but for me its more about how can it still be the best option if this one is made 9 years ago? There are lots of things changed and the map just didnt, just burn those houses down and rebuilt them in a better way. A building like the Grand Exchange would be built in the center of a village if it would be built.
  11. Looks like the old checking method works again, go to recover a lost password, fill in the name, click on recover stolen password and if there is something about pay details this guy/girl could be/is member. Can people help me test it because im not 100% sure it works yet.
  12. Can you please add Krentje10? I asked for it before but guess that message got destroyed when tipit forum went down. Thanks! :)
  13. Dear Tipiters, "Would a world map remake be a good idea or not?" This have been awhile in my mind now and I think its good enough for a discussion with you guys & girls. RuneScape exists 9 years and I havent seen big changes to the world map, a new wall in Edgeville or a remake of Varrock aint that big. Some parts didnt change in the past 9 years! Lets discuss it. Pro's A recreation of the world would give Jagex a chance to make some area's better, some places don't get visited and could be placed somewhere else where they do. Lots of things are changed so theres lots of stuff to explore. Con's Lots of work to change it all, story's of quest could get destroyed. Naruto 1001
  14. Hee Aura, I hope your enjoying your vacation :) But uhm I just figured out A Zra is missing on the list, can you please add her when your back? :D
  15. The Three Waves How does this sound, first lets explain the title. In holland we say "drie maal is scheepsrecht", guess you don't know what it means but its like if you fail something three times you can better give up. I think a lot of people will try to make profit with santa hats for three times and give up after the 3th time. And I count every time they went from minimum to maximum as a wave. The First Wave This is going to be the biggest one, people don't know when to buy and when to sell so the difference will be huge between minimum and maximum price. The Second Wave People who were to late to sell at the maximum think they know how they will be on time this time, also a lot of new people have bought santa hats and think they know when to sell this time, just a littlebit before it dropped the last time, however there wrong this wave will be smaller because there not the only people that think that way. The Last Wave The smallest one of the three, it wont go down far and also not go up alot, because people just want to sell faster then other people. No More Waves What Now? People dont want those santa hats anymore for a few months, they lost to much money on them (well most of them) and if nobody buys you cant sell and if you dont sell the price stays the same, however some day (after a few months) there will be someone interested and the price starts to drop again, starting with the first wave again.
  16. I'm not sure, but I think Sk8erstig will be ranked 200 by now :D (hes already telling me hes almost on the list for a month -.-)
  17. I like that you can see your Hitpoints, Prayer and Energy but I don't like the logout button to be there, also they didn't put in a lot of extra's they could do with those icons, like a run on/off function if you click on the icon, or a go to prayer tab is you click on your prayer icon, if they did put in those they could take out the prayer button in the menu and create space for the logout button. If they did this with more of the buttons they could even create more space and making it a lot easier for us.
  18. First on the summoning highscore list: Dark Dude 98
  19. Please add this... The Christmas Test Like every year we get a christmas present, also last year we got our christmas event with a nice present. Lets take a look at what we had to do, we build a snowman, add something to it and go to a strange place where we can let our own snowman fight with other snowmans... Kinda strange to start killing on christmas huh? well read it again and think about code testing for summoning while you read about the fights between snowmans, it would make that strange story very important for Jagex right? Did you have fun with this snow? If the answer no, lets hope that aint all we can do with our summons...
  20. Like I said before, a small grand exchange in all altars would work fine, runners put essence in there, rcers will buy the essence. Now the runner will be paid and the rcer gets his essence, and there is only one problem left, people start adding 1000k noted ess and make it imposible for the other runners. Heres what makes it imposible to do that, only unnoted essence can be put in!
  21. Why lock this one, the other only links to the other page and got a picture that will be over its bandwith soon because everyone is looking at it, and i got the picutes and some of the styles like bold added to this O:)
  22. The end of the F2P or P2P discussion, its going to be P2P they say.
  23. Summoning: Part 4 - Release In this, the fourth and final Summoning Development Diary, we look at how anticipation has been built up for Summoning, including everything from birds' eggs to bulldogs. Episode IV: A New Hype Back in 2006, May's Behind the Scenes showcased a game engine update, two new random events, Swan Song and Royal Trouble. Tucked in at the very end was one sentence: "We are also adding some other smaller features to the game later this month, such as clockwork toys for your cats, teleportation tablets, making your own cups of tea and even chairs you can sit down in." "By not mentioning upcoming updates, less players talk about them. Releasing information provokes conversations on the Forum, and gets people talking and speculating." Mod Mark RuneScape Content That sentence was the only hint that Construction was arriving three weeks later. This is the way that we generally release skills ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ with little or no promotion and 'hype'. Doing it in this fashion comes with many benefits; the unexpected release is enjoyable to many members, and reading the Forums, once we have surprised you all, is certainly fun! While there is a lot to gain by doing it this way, a lot is also lost. The initial rush and excitement of finding out a skill has been released soon disappears. "Also, by not mentioning upcoming updates, less players talk about these positive things. Releasing information provokes conversations on the Future Updates Forum, and gets people talking and speculating," says Mod Mark, Senior Game Developer. Players can eagerly talk about what Summoning will entail, what creatures they want to Summon and even what a wolpertinger is. "Some people also like to plan their training. For something as game-affecting as Summoning, which crosses over with every skill and even changes our Combat level calculation, players appreciate the notice," says Mod Mark. Every Dog Has His Day Changes were made to how we hinted at Summoning, mainly because of a bulldog. Web Content's Mod Kinder and Graphics's Mod Jamie created a front page advert that showed a character typing something into the Knowledge Base search engine. We knew that curious players would do the same, so we had some fun ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ we made that word 'bulldog'. A Knowledge Base page was then introduced with an animated image of the bulldog pet from Summoning. Just a selection of the puppy breeds and variations that will come with Summoning, and just after Summoning... It was so popular on the Forums that we decided to change our approach, promoting Summoning more strongly. Not everyone was so keen on that idea at first, most notably RuneScape Content's Mod Wilson, developer of Summoning: "I had that pang of regret that we weren't just going to throw it out there unannounced. I really wanted to surprise everyone with the skill and knock their socks off." He was eventually won over, though: "not least because of the bulldog. I have fond memories of a bulldog my uncle owned. She'd just lie at my feet, snoring and farting all day." We drew up a schedule of hints and spoilers, which was initially dominated by in-game teasers. More birds' eggs were planned (penguin, raven and vulture), in addition to a character that walked a bulldog and a pet shop in Yanille. "Once it was released, someone posted that they had got into the pet shop, before being kicked out by a grumpy pet shop owner! I can promise you that one isn't true..." says Mod Wilson. A sneaky look inside the Yanille pet shop. The schedule then passed on to Web Content, who planned something Summoning-related for the website every week until the skill's imminent release. The Greatest Trick the Chaos Elemental Ever PulledÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ When hinting towards the familiars in Summoning, we couldn't have put together a schedule without including the Chaos Elemental. For Summoning, we didn't want to limit him to just a few anagrams in the Postbag from the Hedge, as we have done many times previously. "So, we came up with the noticeboard idea. It was just perfect for including a huge number of Summoning hints," says Mod Osborne, who worked with Mod Murphy, both of Web Content, to create it, "and the idea was inspired by the film 'Usual Suspects'." The two anagrams left unsolved. Words in them include 'angry', 'net', 'use' and 'granite'. The noticeboard allowed the Chaos Elemental to try out more visual and, in some cases, more difficult puzzles. In fact, we believed that some were so elaborate that it would take ages for them to be figured out. "We soon changed that opinion!" says Mod Murphy. "The Chaosudoku was completed within hours, hidden words were found in minutes, and only the longest anagrams are yet to be solved." Summoning 2: The New Batch "Each creature has unique Summoning requirements, special moves, abilities, distinct personalities and hidden chat options, so no one could possibly experience them all as they rise through the levels." Mod Osborne Web Content Of course, we wouldn't be hyping Summoning if we didn't feel that it was awesome. "It's my favourite members' skill that I've helped to release," says Mod Mark. This opinion seems to be shared by everyone who worked on it: "In terms of quality and quantity, nothing really matches it," says Mod Osborne. As you have read, one of the things we are most happy about is the size of Summoning. You already know that there is something to do for virtually every skill level, but we can let you in on another secret... After Summoning is released, a second batch of creatures is coming in February, which will nearly double the size of the original skill! That's right, AFTER Summoning has been released, you will be getting 25 new familiars to summon, and 47 variations of pets and familiars from the first Summoning release! Some players may wonder why there are two large batches, and not just one massive release. Well, there are issues with so many players downloading a huge piece of content simultaneously. We don't want technical problems and slowdown to interrupt players' enjoyment of the content. More importantly, so many creatures released at once would be overwhelming to players. "Each creature has unique Summoning requirements, special moves, abilities, distinct personalities and hidden chat options, so no one could possibly experience them all as they rise through the levels," says Mod Osborne. To really get you exploring (and even getting to know) your familiars, we have left a little something extra to come - a February dessert to go with January's main course, if you will! Summoning pouch inventory images for some familiars we've mentioned so far. Hinting at Summoning has been an interesting experiment for us, and it is one that we feel has been very successful. Our favourite bits have been when studying the Forums, looking at what people expect from Summoning. "It's quite interesting, seeing some of the things that are bandied about on the Forums, considered to be 'fact'," says Mod Mark. Among these are 'I'll be able to summon an army' and 'Summoning has no use for skillers' ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ well, we can say now that neither of those are true. The hints and teasers have also seen a lot of positive chat, suggestions and anticipation surrounding Summoning, which can only be a good thing! We can promise you that we have made Summoning to the best of our abilities, and we're very proud of it. All that is left now is for you to play it, enjoy it, get your hands on a Summoning skillcape, and know that, in the month after the skill is released, another big batch of creatures will be on its way. Three Summoning wallpapers are now available in the Downloads section of the website.
  24. Uhm, all revenants drop gold. Maybe its just me thinking this, but your kinda late with this.
