Post and discuss all Jagex Twitter updates here!

Ezkaton, the snow isn't the reason for the lack of updates. They said a couple of weeks ago, before the snow, that their would be no update. That was the point of my sarcastic post. I guess you like so many others, pretty much only read the last 2 or 3 posts before you post yourself. Now, had they had an update planned, and this happened and they had to push it back, that's completely understandable. I wouldn't have issues with them. It's not like MMG can control the weather... yet. And this last week is when they should have to have an update to cancel. They should've had one ready, not been able to do it, and pushed it back. Not having one at all is to put it honestly, is rubbish. -

This is true if you're a level 80 something with still tons to do. There are a lot of us who play the game in large part due to new content releases. If their is no new content, then a large part of why we play goes up in smoke. Hence, we kvetch about it. -

Well, the nice ones are on holiday which is why we don't get an update. The ones who had to stay are pissed that they don't get a vacation so they're rubbing it in our face. Bunch of buttwipes. -
What happened in your childhood that you need a pat on the back for every insignificant thing you do in a video game? Sharing your level 9 stat is about as much of an accomplishment as "I made a poopie." Some might find it cute, but the rest of us don't want to hear about it. When people announce their levels, it's for one of a few reasons: 1. It's low and they expect everyone to give them a pat on the back anyway. 2. They think they're the highest level in the area and want everyone to go "omg ur so gud". 3. They just want attention. Leveling just isn't as sweet when your craving for attention isn't being fed. When someone accomplishes things you generally do congratulate them though. If someone just learned to read you don't just ignore them, you probably congratulate them and encourage them to keep getting better. So what if you have been doing it for the longest time, someone else has accomplished something and want to feel good about it. That's all I will say because I don't really care when people level up or anything anymore either :\. Did you just seriously compare someone learning how to read to getting 58 fishing? Are you kidding me?

POLL: How many days have you spent online RuneScape?
Me_Hate_Libs replied to Cowman_133's topic in General Discussion
204 days, 9 hours. -
Because it is something you look at alot. :? I just don't really care what my weapon looks like, as long as it gets the job done. I honestly don't see why you would care about how you look while training, I'd whack stuff with a giant carrot if it had good stats. I agree, I don't wear/wield any of my weapons and armour because they look good, i wear/wield them because in my opinion they are strong (for a level 72, that is.) Were you looking for 5 month old threads to revive or what exactly?
-
My point was how long they've been around and how pointless they are otherwise. You can at least kill a chin or a duck and shear a sheep, but the pigs juts sit there.
-
It is, or maybe was, widely known that Guthix protects the sheep as they were the first creature he brought into Runescape and they're his favorite. As far as I know, he doesn't care about pigs.
-
It's been 4 1/2 years now I've had to look at those pigs in Draynor Village. I thought surely by now I'd be able to kill them and get me some of that porky goodness. But no, they still just trot about in their little pen. I want porkchops! I want bacon! I wanna kill those pigs damnit!

The Achievement is not the specific acts you do, but the completion of the list of activities. And as well it's the levels needed to do them that would be an achievement of some sort.

Well, the QA team would've had the Christmas update finished well in advance as it's the only update lately that had a definite date it had to be released by. So it would stand to reaon that FT3 would be pretty much done as it spent a lot of time in QA already. And all of QA can't be on holiday at the same time. -
Hipp, I meant to quote Aurian and I quote you by accident. That was my mistake. Sorry.

Maybe it's some sort of moon. Well it is some sort of landmass yeah, but in another dimension. That we know for sure. Armadyl has such a small following because few have heard of him. He probably was a God of average power, and he left after the Aviantese were wiped out. The God Wars were still raging though, so people switched Gods. In those times you couldn't afford being loyal to a God who isn't there. And in these times almost no one remembers him anymore. As for that powerful weapon of his, like you (MHL) already said, maybe it's just a conduit. However, I don't agree with what Brianite said. It would have been far more powerful in the hands of the God Armadyl than in the hands of the Mahjarrat Zamorak. And Guthix didn't come through the portal in Meeting History... That was why I said what I said. Because you had said pretty much exactly what I had said and what everyone else said. I made the point that it acted as a power conduit for a major power source, like the Stone of Jas. Oh, and did anyone have a rebuttal to my assertion that the Dragonkin were pre-Guthix and therefore the plane wasn't empty?

Hey I take offence to that :o I'm at least a mid level noob. They could have staggered it better but oh well, I guess they figured people would be too busy with their Christmas presents over the next week, and we go back to school next week (fml) . This might mean they're starting next year off with a bang. You should be pleased too, Libs, since the upgrade year is over :P I thought you said in the Slave Auction thread that you were a low level noob and kinda poor to boot? Yeah I made note in another topic that if they took these two weeks off it better be because they have something really big to kick the year off. If it's more hairstyles and cows/chickens getting a graphical makeover I'm gonna be seriously let down. And no more upgrades = -

They really should have staggered it better. Like switching the releases of the Christmas update and Blood Runs Deep would've worked much better and not felt like such a huge gap without some update of substance. And sorry we can't all be low level noobs like you Racheya. -
Its difficult to say what the staff does exactly and where it gets its power. Like we saw in the most recent quest, the staff could simply be a "magnifying glass" or sorts that just amplifies the power of the individual using it. That being the case, to one person it may be very weak, while to another it may be very strong. Perhaps in Zamorak's hands it was much more powerful than Armadyl's. We also don't know that he created the staff, simply that he possessed it. Saradomists often call things their own (Eg. The Eye of Saradomin) yet they did not actually create them. The same could be this case here. The Dragonkin did exist before Guthix entered the realm, but it is unclear if they are still in our realm all together. They may have hid in another realm when their stone was taken, and thus Guthix did not have any sight of them while he shaped the world. While we are on that topic, We also know that Guthix only shaped the world, and did not create it. However this does not mean he cannot create a world, only that he had no need to since one already existed. Guthix is definaly not an elder god though as he came through the portal just like the humans did in the meeting history quest. So you just summed up pg8 in one post or something? Because you just said all the things that were said on this page by the different people.

Because it's a total of 3 WEEKS without an update. Including one when most people are already over their hangovers. Yeah, if you saw the last page of posts I mentioned that I don't begrudge them this week off. It's after Christmas and tomorrow being New Year's Eve. That's all fine. It's the week of the 4th-10th that aggravates me because that is much further past the holidays. -
I still cannot figure out why a god supposedly powerful enough to create a Staff that can banish other gods would have such a small following. Oh and Jas enslaved the Dargonkin to protect the Stone no? So that means the Dragonkin were around the time of Jas, which was pre-Guthix and that means the Dragonkin must have been here before Guthix was, hence the plane couldn't have been *completely* empty. I also think the Tz-Hzaar were here before Guthix too, but I might be mistaken on that.

That's wrong. I actually remember a Jmod mentioning in a Dev Blog how update days are frantic and they have to coordinate loads of simultaneous releases ect... Would YOU want to be dragged into work over Christmas? Nobody wants to work at Christmas and generally most businesses close or let their staff have time off. I don't see why people think Jagex should be an exception. Rach, it was sarcasm.... Yeah lol i have been on rsof too much It shows. Anyway we've been told we won't get an update until next week so that's that. Untill the week after next week actually. Which is what I was being pissy about. -
It's not that a world is unpopulated. It's that whether the world has 300 people or 1300 people, you're gonna have at least 200 doing the event. On the more populated world it may be 250, but the result is the same.

How do you think I feel? I had 67 agility in Classic, but more than 5 years later and it's only level 79, but I get people who've been playing for 4 months with 80+ agility because how much easier it is to train. So do what I do. Stay quiet. If you get a level, tell your friends. If no one is around, you can say something if you like, but don't gripe if no one else appreciates it.
