  1. I am not sure if i would call it a must, but it helps quite a bit, and is highly suggested to have when chinning. Edit: Let me put it this way, normal range armor is going to increase your accuracy which isnt really needed there at those lvls. The void increases the damage, which gets more xp per chin, and speeds things up overall.
  2. What skill does the crush option train? In the case of guthans, its controlled. For other wepons it depends, but i am pretty sure for the most part others train str. And i am not sure if you know, crush is their weakness most other forms of attack dont hit often.
  3. Slayer is ok, but i really think it is overrated when it comes to getting charms. It really depends on your task, but from what tasks i get i get less then 20 charms an hour and since he is asking about waterfiends i dont think he wants to be wasting time just killing he wants the charms.
  4. I suggest monkfish. They are more xp per fish and fish faster then lobsters, they are just overall better.
  5. Yeah they are not the greatest, but until he gets higher lvls i dont think those better options are fully open. Edit: Wow i forgot about dusties. Yeah go with dusties they are much better then what i said before.
  6. No i dont think you would hold up too well against waterfiends. I suggest using slayer overall. Or if you just want to grind try giant roaches for chrimsons. Other options are shadow warriors, or demons.
  7. No the bunny ears were the first non tradable holiday item http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarti ... le_id=2529 edit: sorry i didnt see that someone already pointed that out
  8. From what i remember when i had mine, the whip was like 1.5 times faster then the godsword. That just my estimation though don't take my word for it.
  9. Most people don't take into consideration of how good something is when they buy it, especially when its an item like godswords which they really want. Also some people don't feel like the whip is that much better to use it over their godsword, especially considering they just spent 25+mil on it. Not to mention this is runescape, people love to show off.
  10. They are more of a novelty item. They are fun to use but for training or actual uses, whip has them beat. If you have the money and really want one i say go for it, if your thinking its going to be useful don't buy one.
  11. It being called a cash shop one would assume they would sell gp, anyway that would give someone an advantage because anyone who wastes money there would have an advantage over anyone who doesn't because everyone else works for their money. And the majority things in rs can be bought if you throw enough money at it some skills included. As for the items you speak of, it would still be unfair for someone to get them with cash, whereas someone else would have to work for them, or not get them at all. Edit: Also imagine all the social divides this would create, we would see rs being split into people who buy rs cash, and people who don't. I can almost guarantee that we would see people criticizing other for buying/ not buying rs cash. Sometimes I wonder where all you people come from. People who "assume" things, when they're actually clueless. And people you don't read what I say and come up with BS conclusions. I can only imagine you have problems reading the english language, because otherwise it's just plain stupidity. Now, if you had played a game with a cash shop, you would know what a shop cash is. Cash shops as in "I use my real cash to buy stuff". Cash shops don't sell in-game money, they never do. They sell power-ups (things that make you stronger or give you better xp), clothing (to make your character prettier), and game-specific things that are good to have. Usually, all of them are tradable. Which means, for instance, you buy a pack of 50 for 50 dollars, you sell each item for 10M, you just made 500M. When it's tradable, it's an indirect way to buy money. Clothing. Clothing is what most cash shops make the most money from. Usually, it consists of a set of good looking clothes that you can wear ON your equipment, which hides it. It gives no advantage, it's just for looks. Now, what did I say? "Items only for looks", hence clothing which gives you no advantage except increased prettiness. "They're untradable once you buy them", hence you don't make any in-game gp with them, since you will never be able to sell them. Now the next time you misinterpret what I say, and assume something really stupid, I'm going to make a long and lengthly post as to why I think you should go take some english classes, and go play a F2P /w cashshop mmorpg. Wow... first off i have been here for a while and been on rs for many years. And for your information no i guess i don't know what a cash shop is, but what do you really expect from the name. I did say i was asumming no need to flame me for that now is it? I admit i guess i didn't read everything all the way through but you really could have just pointed out my mistakes. No need for an all out attack troll... I did still address what the poster said, i was just leaving my thoughts on direct cash selling. I am not sure if you have ever played the game called Runescape. The hole point is showing off. And don't even try and tell me its not. Why do people get skill capes, why do we try and get on the highscores, and why do we grind for hours to get some stupid/sword/shield/armor. Those clothes are an advantage just not in the traditional form so please don't give me this bs. Even if they give no game "advantages" it would still be about "Hey look i can afford the $100 shirt!" which is what rs is all about.
  12. You seem to forget this is not life this is Runescape, and jagex is going to do everything in their power to make it fair, or at least as fair as they see fit.
  13. Ok now try talking to the guys upstairs with the Dagon'hai history book. Edit: yeah if that doesnt work just go ahead and report it, i hope you get your armor though good luck.
  14. Yeah i think it might be the digsite thing then, if not i have no idea it could be a glitch. And its not case 30 like i have in my picture you don't need to not to mention in the tip it guide it says "30 Middle Golem Statuette Missing if you have stolen it during The Golem quest" Its only missing because of the quest. Edit: i remember what you need now, make sure you talk to the guy with the Dagon'hai history book, if you didnt it should get you the last kudos.
  15. Oh by the way, i think they updated the kudos, i only have 153 which used to be the highest amount, and got the lamp. 158 is the new highest amount so the wiki is wrong. Edit: also like i said make sure the lady gave you all the kudos, or make sure she says you have done everything, because i thought the exact same thing and was about to report it as a bug, then found out i didn't finish the last quiz.
  16. The only thing i can suggest is make sure you did all the quests, talked to the guy again ( also you need to talk to him while something is in your inventory i forget what it is check out the tip guide to it http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=varrock_museum.htm ), make sure all the cases downstairs are full again, make sure you got everything from the dig site part, and make sure you did all the quizzes again. Oh and talk to the information girl that is there she tells you what you need that is left to do, and can give you kudos. Here to show you i am wearing varrock armor 3 and the case is empty
  17. You don't need it to finish the diary, you must be missing something else, by the way i thought i needed it too. Then i found out i didn't finish all the quizzes in the basement

  19. I think it's a horrible idea. The whole point of runescape is that your real world life has no affect of how you do in runescape. Not to mention that would lower the worth of gold. More gold coming in from jagex not to mention all the gold in the game and the gold that is being made every day. This would only make it harder for the person who has to work for their money and cant buy it.
  20. Very interesting the same thing happened to me i always got around 700, maybe this is a glitch? Or maybe it has to do with when jagex said each town likes different things? Edit: i just did what you did, and got 1203 on my range performance
  21. Isnt there already a few threads on this? edit: here one is viewtopic.php?f=30&t=760595
  22. and here's where I say.. This is why the game has player moderators. They can spot a name like gdghdgdg65 (made up) and gdghdgdg12 (made up) and be able to tell jagex that's a bot family, so they'll ban any name with "gdghdgdg" in its name. Surely, people can see if its a gibberish name plus some numbers, they can find out it's a family bot. So, if you spot some names, jot them down, and nudge a P-mod and game so they can tell jagex to ban them before they cause even more hrm. "As the game has grown, the demand for gold has grown with it, so it is worth gold-sellers' time to make smarter bots. "We keep developing technologies to combat bots, but it's like an arms race we stop bots, they improve their macros, we stop them, they improve again," says Andrew. The longer we keep doing this, the harder it's going to be to keep stopping bots. "If we don't break that vicious cycle now, it would just keep getting worse and worse. It could reach a point where macro software becomes undetectable." "Unfortunately, these methods are reactive find a problem then solve it and if we just react, we'll always be chipping away at a larger problem. Even if we spent every penny we earn on staff and systems to ban bots which would mean no game updates gold-sellers would still massively outnumber us. Mod Hobagoly says, "Every time we double our efforts, gold-sellers quadruple theirs. We can't continue only using our current methods, throwing more and more resources at it." The only way we can win is to be proactive and take the fight to them." This is a quote from the dev diary of runescape vs real world item trading Like i said even if you ban the whole group, they just make a stronger effort to to do it which is why banning does not work no matter who does it. So even if they ban everyone with that name, the people or bots who are doing it are still there. So they will come back with a different name player mods or jagex wont be able to do anything which is why they did this whole thing in the first place. The point i am trying to get at is if you ban them they make a new name. And for anyone that is wondering there is 6,582,952,006,000,000,000 combinations of names give or take a few trillion, so the bots have plenty of more chances if they get banned.
  23. It depends if they buy their planks or make them, i did the cost if i bought them a few months back i think it was around 80mil if i remember correctly, hope that helps. Edit: it was using oak planks and a demon butler making oak larders
  24. Majority of people with 000oo0oo as their names were old pkers or stakers, perhaps they are just coming back in anticipation of the new pvp.
  25. The problem with reporting them is they just come back. That was the reason jagex had to take all the steps to stopping rwt. They would ban someone or a group of people one day, and the next they were back. Most of these are not bots, they are Chinese workers so reporting for macroing doesn't do much, not to mention there is little evidence they are doing real world trading even though it is highly likely they are.
