Wow i have been playing this game too long. Current wealth

So what does everyone think will happen to price after a few days? Will the panic settle and continue the rising prices since there still is inflation?

Right now i am using windows media player trying to burn a data disk with a bunch of mp3s. The problem occurs when i make my list and have it ordered how i want. When the cd is complete and i listen to it, all the songs are out of order. After looking up the problem from what i read i would have to rename all my songs in alphanumeric order. This is not something i want to do since i am usually putting 70 to 90 songs per cd. My question is there any other program that can burn mp3s on a data disk in which i can order the songs and it come out right? Is there anything i can do to make it burn is this order? Or is there some way i can name all of the songs quickly and easily together?

Seems to be an issue with ati graphics cards that they said they fixed with a system update but didn't for everyone. It's just a bug, so guess we will have to wait for a fix :cry: Also i hear people with amd processors are having problems? Who knows, but just seems to be a bug jagex needs to fix.

Anyone else still having hd trouble after this update? It didn't fix anything for me :cry:

I currently have two full portal rooms with a teleport focus and all the portal are assigned. I want to take out the focus and add a scrying pool, but i am concerned i will lose the portals and have to reassign them. Anyone know if i remove the focus that will happen?

Although i do agree that it's unlikely to happen, we honestly never know what is in store for runescape. I remember yelling at people a few years back for saying jagex would come out with a dragon plate and claws. Look at some of the bigger changes to runescape. I never saw trade updates coming, the grand exchange, summoning, or many of the pking updates. So just because something is highly unlikely, doesn't mean we should be too closed minded towards the idea just yet ;)

Of course there is nothing fundamentally wrong with it, the game works just fine as is. I think that adding more races, even if there were no special abilities tied to each (basically making the race choice aesthetic) would add a nice diversity to the game. One thing that would be weird is how armor and cloths work. Like would certain races not be able to wear cloths?

You bring up a really good point. If jagex fixed the real problem with some of these minigames we wouldn't have to resort to, or at least not as a first resort to stacking the game. Sometimes i would like jagex to treat the problem directly, instead of trying to mend what they considering against the spirit of the game/doing something in a way they didn't intend.

Maybe if some of said mini games were fun we wouldn't need to just grind out stacked games for the rewards. Not that all of them are not fun, but honestly, some of the games are just plain uninteresting. Also, what else do they expect? When you have rewards that people want, people are going to do everything in their power to get them quickly. It's one of the fundamental problems with the way rewards work. Instead of people enjoying what was left for them, they only do what they must for the reward.

Hmm i never figured out the costs for it since i just fish for myself and bring a spare 300k to 1mil to last a week or two. But my guess is yes, using the note method is cheaper. I also based this off of absolutely nothing, no evidence or anything #-o .

Another way is to bring noted food and gold. You sell an inventory of noted food to the general store there, and then buy it back to unnote it. Works great by bringing 500k and a few k monkfish :thumbsup:

I think you can't really generalize runescape's population and how they behave unless you have met everyone and seen everything that is going on. What you are saying here is based on YOUR perception of what's going on, and YOUR experiences. For example i have been fishing for the past few months. For the most part during all those days there was someone who felt they needed to act like an idiot and ruin a good fishing conversation. Until recently that has been happening. The past week i have met some of the most intelligent and interesting people fishing. Does that mean that runescape's population is getting better? No, it just so happens i have had a good run with fishing guild conversations. My point here is you feel this from what you experience, but doesn't mean this is a fact. These experiences can greatly differ from person to person. Combine that with the anonymity of the internet, the lack of real consiquences (what i mean by that is if someone sits there calling you a nerd no one really does anything about it), and the immaturity of the children/teens that play the game, you will find times where you feel the population is on the decline. I have been playing for a while, and yes this topic always comes up. I heard it in 2003. I heard it in 2004. I heard it in 2005 and so on. Every year people talk about how the year(s) before it were so much better. Honestly i really haven't seen a dramatic decline. Human beings have a natural tendency to look at the past and only remember the good. Ever since the dawn of this game there have been bad, ignorant, rude people. You just have to learn to live with it.

This post isn't completely relevant to this, but i did notice some people mention pre ge manipulation. I just feel this is a good read on how it worked. I was executing price raises / drops right up until the time of my banning just about. Around March of 2006, I would message my friend Gdec Goat, who had 2 Phat Sets or so, whenever I planned to drop the prices. I'd find a morning where Party Hats weren't selling very well, and the only people buying on forums were those paying in Party Hats + Cash (for example they're buying Red for Yellow + cash, upgrading their Phat sort of thing). I would then post on forums that I was selling my Party Hats off FAST!! An example of the title would be ":+: SELLING PHATS CHEAP :+:". Now, technically, yes, you're not supposed to say "Cheap" in the title, but they were actually cheap. Also it looks a bit desperate, which is what I want people to think. I'd sell off my first Phat Set, then I'd tell Gdec Goat to sell his Phat Set(s) off. He'd do the same, and he'd sell them at whatever price I told him to (within reason), to help further lower Party Hat prices. We also made sure to request "CASH ONLY", since we'd need cash to buy the Phats back (and we were in effect temporarily raising the price of GP in comparison to Party Hats). By the time Gdec and myself had sold off 2-3 of our Phat sets combined, the market would be in a tailspin. People would be undercutting us, and trying to steal sales, which was exactly what we wanted. Sometimes we could drop Phat prices as low as 10-15% within one morning. But, the drop was extremely elastic, and bounced right back up once they hit a certain price. I'd begin buying right when prices looked their worst, buying back the Phats I sold at a 10% discount. Gdec did the same, and by the end of the day Party Hat prices would be exactly as they were at the beginning of the day. It was an interesting Merchanting tactic that provided huge profits, and was very fun to execute. So to answer your question, I'd say yes, players could in-fact pull this off today. HOWEVER, the Party Hat merchanting community has actually dwindled over the past few years, and the only reason it might NOT work is because the population trading is, believe it or not, too small. This is what it was for me from 70 lvl going to 99 using sc hammers all the way. Things i need -243 hammers 50,750 xp each if i only get 20 points each game -approximately 81 hours of stealing creation -12,289,639 xp to 99 -102,414 oak planks (with hammers) -min(402) $41,170,428 mid(423) $43,321,122 max(444) $45,471,816 --$45mil + 3mil for butler (oak doors) = 48mil These prices were a few weeks back. I can tell you there is no guarantee of getting one, i did the exact same thing and killed 13k black dragons. No visage :x . I did end up with about 20mil in junk though :P
