I love every time someone has this realization.

    I feel the same about Tylerelyt, but I'm relyt199 on a lot of websites ;-;
  3. What is probably happening is that your mouse has a button for forward and back when you push your mouse wheel sideways, which is what my mouse does. Check out this page for solutions: http://superuser.com/questions/122528/how-to-disable-back-button-on-my-mouse I personally ended up using x-mouse and changing the side buttons into scroll left and right, which is much less annoying and more intuitive. But you can just disable them if you prefer.

I slept for 12-13 hours yesterday, and I still can't [bleep]ing get up and out of bed this morning. Depression [bleep]ing sucks.

Here's the thing Maddy. If he's abusive to you, chances are he'll be abusive to the next person he dates. Anything that helps break that spiral is worth doing, and you absolutely shouldn't feel guilty about it.

    You mods are silly.

No no, clearly what needs to happen is that you replace that image on your phone with this one:
  8. Heat stroke. I've had both, hypothermia is so much worse.

I mean, it's hard to have emotional investment in characters you've never seen because this is a brand new movie.
  10. Banned for this being the 2000th time you've posted a variant on this exact message. We get it dude, Forum Games sucked after LOTPW came around.

Surely your likelihood of being attacked is independent of your password strength or whether you have 2 factor authentication.

Why would we talk about pizza? Pizza is gross and immoral. E: Thanks new page

This. "Sexual" was used for a while, but it's awkward and has some uncomfortable implications.

I don't understand allo people. What's not to understand? Assuming you don't have past trauma or nerve damage I'm sure purchasing a vibrator can explain it to you. But if that's not something on the table let me approach it by analogy. Do you like pizza? Imagine if you liked pizza a lot and some random vegan announced how they couldn't imagine anyone liking it. "I couldn't possibly have enough pizza over the course of my lifetime to make me consider turning down a slice, with or without anchovies"

Apparently I didn't look hard enough, because with the help of three other programmers I got everything set up, and then I took an hour or two to write up the process, sent it to the lead programmer to ask where to put it, and then promptly received a reply "oh, here's the document, but thanks for writing an updated version" I looked in a parent folder for that. But it was hidden behind unrelated acronyms. God. Heck.

No, come on Noxx, we're posting programming stuff to which RPG will respond with "I don't understand but I'm supportive of you"

Speaking of programming Finally starting programming proper at work, and obviously the first step is to get the code base from the repository. So I do that, check it out from the svn repo, and there's three folders, trunk, branches, and notes. Typical stuff, so I try and run the project in the trunk. Nope. Missing some other projects. Pull those down. Nope, they're not correctly pointed to by the first project. Redirect those, nope, there's DLLs missing. Find those and add them. Nope. Etc. Etc. And I'm looking through documentation, trying to find any sort of setup instructions, trying to find any mention of the issues I'm running into. There's none. I was assigned a mentor to help me with my first projects, but she's busy with her own work and can't/doesn't help me. Two days later, and I've got everything but the server connection working. Once I've got this, I'll be up and running. And my mentor finally has time to help me. So she comes over, and looks at my file setup, and declares it all wrong, deleting everything I've worked on for the past two days. She then IMs another woman at the company, asks what to do. That person sends links to some stuff in the repository. Specifically, branches of the three repos I checked out. Nothing in the trunks. Random branches, which apparently everyone is working from. She pulls two different branches for each project (with essentially step by step instructions from the other person she contacted), and then pulls another repo which contains some bat scripts, one of which she runs. This script, as far as I can tell, combines some files from each of the repos she pulled and puts them into their own, new folder in the development directory. That finishes, and we try and run it and it's still not working. So we figure out we need to install some program, but none of the three of us are sure what that program is, so my mentor goes home for the day. The lady she IM'd in the first line also signs off, but a couple minutes later messages me and tells me the program I needed. I installed it and it didn't work, so I called it quits because my day was over already and I was frustrated. But. Like. [bleep]. That was the most obtuse setup I've ever seen, and apparently *no one* thought to make some documentation so newbies don't have to spend 2 days trying to figure it out, and even veterans are unsure. I'm so [bleep]ing mad. It's all going to be this obtuse, the coding, and the insurance terminology, and I'm so unexcited for it. I can't wait until my self imposed year is up and I can quit this place.
  19. Right after you wake up, presuming it's negative. That's the fastest way to ruin a day. Getting a sunburn in winter, or hypothermia in summer.
  20. I'd need a desktop to add things to for that to be an option. In terms of picking my own parts, I tried at first, but stepping straight into that with no experience is a bit too big of a step, and I felt I could use this as a first step to get my feet wet without feeling overwhelmed.

I would pay 258 for anyone to make a good freakin' thread on these boards, and not some bullshit like "Post the fibonnnnnaci sequence" like, jesus.
  22. So I wanna buy parts on Monday for a new pc, but I can't decide between these 2 builds. I've never built a pc before, so I'm not super confident in my ability to compare them. The "$1,000 GAMING PC (VR-READY)" build on this page: https://elitegamingcomputers.com/top-gaming-computers/#30 And this build: https://pcpartpicker.com/guide/jBWG3C/modest-gaming-build The first build has better hardware, but it's about $200 more expensive, and I don't know how to tell if it's worth the extra money. Usage will mostly just be general use stuff with light gaming. I really, really, would like it to be able to multi-task well, because my current laptop does not, and nothing makes me more sad. My budget is a soft $1000, but both of these are under that and hopefully cyber monday deals will make it even cheaper, so that's not a big concern. So yeah, if anyone could help me compare them, that'd be awesome.
  23. I made a game! http://[Censored - Don't use a URL shortner]/2geMCpP

Not to be *that* guy, but the slaves were freed by a republic president amongst heavy objection from much of the democratic party... I mean, political parties have shifted since then. They had shifted in the ~100 years between the civil war and the civil rights movement, and then after the civil rights movement, the parties flipped on the conservative/liberal spectrums. Southern Democrats were mostly conservative until a Democratic president passed the civil rights act, at which point the conservative mindset fled to the Republican party. And since the 60s, the parties have shifted. Like, past party affiliations with progressivism/regressivism (or whatever spectrum you wanna point at) have little to do with modern affiliations, especially when you're jumping back before the 1960s. A source, for what it's worth. I skimmed this, mostly just remember this stuff from high school history.
  25. I'm playing the game?? What are you even talking about, d00d? Like, I know spam, this isn't spam.
