S U R V I V A L This story was also written by Bloody Scfie, Talsien, Roeckie1, Ultimo Hobo1, Monstermas22 and Mooch 84. Give them the credit, not me ^^ I only put it together... Chapter 1: Arrival Survival I thought I had the best job in the world. I was so wrong. Very wrong. My job involved traveling to many places in the world Places like Antarctica where the burning cold freezes on your icy forehead and Moroccowhere the frozen heat melted on your sweaty arms. I was a sailor. I used to sail all over the world, in all the competitions possible. I only just turned 24 at the time; I was entered into the annual competition. So I was sailing peacefully, calmly through the tranquil Caribbean Sea on course, towards the Cayman Islands. The Sea was blue and shimmering, reflecting the Sun like a limpid pool of cyan silver; The Sun Was a blazing hot sphere with celestial qualities, it all seemed serene and relaxing but at the same time eerily quiet. I listened to the soothing music on my walkman when suddenly there was a great thud on the boat. There was a sense of disbelief in the air; confusion and alertness was profuse, I was afraid and wasnt sure what action should be taken next. Hurricane Frasier had arrived. I began to hurriedly fix The Bailey (my boat) but it was impossible. I knew I couldnt effectively repair a boat in the middle of a category 4 hurricane Especially being on the boat.. . and in the middle of the Ocean. The water gushed into the boat, soon almost engulfing me but the only thing keeping me steady in what was not only a pool of water deadly to my ship but a strong disbelief that this was happening, it must have all been a dream. The boat slowly submersed into the open sea, the very same sea that I had found so beautiful. that felt like it was years ago, now. this very same sea could very well be my demise as well as my beloved boat? I could only watch in horror as the boat disintegrated into the crystalline navy cloth The waves continued their relentless assault, intent on not only drowning me, but making sure that there was absolutely nothing left of my boat to show that I had ever actually been there in the first place I battled my way to the port side of the boat, fighting, determined to save her. pounding blows of the waves severely damaged my cheeks but that didnt stop me. I realized that there was no hope shortly after as I fell, screaming madly with what little oxygen was left in my lungs, into the churning waters below. The one thing I remember other than a serious amount of pain, panic and sheer, unfiltered terror was that My Bailey was gone. The Bailey fell to pieces before my eyes, my beloved boat, my valued vessel, my loved liner was gone. Part of the deck was still intact and I floated through the ocean on that piece The worst then happened. Utmost peril had been looking for me and had now found me. A gigantic twig thumped my left leg, leaving me paralysed and in great pain forcing me into a deep sleep. I woke to the screaming of an albatross. When I opened my eyes, I noticed that I and the albatross were the only living creatures for miles around. I was all alone, on a forgotten beach. I was in an uncomfortable position, the twig jarring my back. The Isle was desolate, the sand of the beach was washed clean by the weeping tides; the trees near the edge of the beach waved to the rhythm of the slow wind. I could not move. I lay as still as a leaf in the quietness before a storm, not moving as the albatross neared my injured leg. I had no idea of my whereabouts. I was LOST, with capital letters. Chapter 2 Cincinnati Whats that I see? Someone is approaching its a young woman, about 5 foot 9 at the least, shes wearing a pristine suit, some jeans and a monocle. She had long flowing purple hair. She came up to me, lying on the shore looking concerned. Are you ok? I didnt reply, I couldnt speak because I was so dehydrated. She tried to move the tree from my back but it was far too heavy. Its fine I mumbled, Leave me to die here, I have no contact with the outside world, no one will come to save me I felt there was no hope for me...that hope was somewhere, way out of reach...like a little candle in a dark wood, glimmering in the distance. Whats your name? She asked. Maddy, yours? Cincinnati. Look Maddy, I think itll be hard to explain to you, but were stranded on this Island. I dont know to get out, but were going to have to work together I nodded in pain. You cant do anything much at the moment, I know but try your best. Now, look what I have found She showed me a bloodstained albatross beak. I stared at the beak, terrified and I closed my eyes silently, wishing the thought away. Now Im going off to find some food. Can you stay here quietly and look out for anything unusual? She asked. I did not answer; I just looked on into the distance. She began to stride, looking composed and confident. But I knew she was just as scared as me. We both knew. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep but I just could not. The prospect of not dying was so scary that I couldnt even try not to think about it. What was death like? Was it pitch black without a thing in sight? Was it like a huge family gathering ceremony? Was it like a dream of the last scene of your life? All these thoughts began to invade my young mind. Im too young to die! I suddenly screamed, and when I looked up, there was a harsh scream; it sounded like Cincinnati. I was petrified and wanted to help but I was trapped under a tree! She ran towards me with some food supplies and some water and dropped them by me. Look, Im in great danger. A giant Gorilla has been chasing me through the forest. I have got to hide. Im leaving these things with you. Goodluck Maddy. It was nice knowing you She panted, waved, and dashed off again. And thatwas the last I saw of Cincinnati. Chapter 3: Stranger Danger The Gorilla approached me angrily, I could feel its breath on my forehead. I lay quietly underneath the branch, fear began to overwhelm me, I began to pant desperately too. Dont hurt me, dont hurt me I began to scream from within. A man appeared from behind the gorilla, about 6 foot 9. I glared at him, waiting for the attempt to save me. None came. I said nothing. Ish ja kuiiwa Ma Huigysrema Tell me what you think about the beginning? Thanks
