A 17:47 was 8th in your state for cross country? What state do you live in? I do run, and at the moment I'm 8th on my team. My best 5k time is 19:20, my best 2 mile on the track is 11:35, and my best mile is a 5:20. All of those will fall this year, however. Nice. :thumbsup: Better than me. I'm trying to beat 6:00 for a mile, and I'm pretty sure I can do it. Last time we did the mile in school was the day of a meet, so I didn't go all out then, and during the 2 mile I didn't go all out either. Random, but oh well..--- I have a freshman on my XC team who's insane. Best 5k-16:32 Best mile- 5:16

Instead of buying a new computer, I've just decided to replace the motherboard in my old computer. It's a Dell Dimension 8200, and a link to the technical specs a is here. Right now, I just have the stock graphics card, but I'm planning on upgrading that too with the motherboard. I want the board to be able to handle 4 gigs of RAM and around a 4 Ghz processor. What board would you recommend I buy? Thanks in advance for your help.

Get the cheaper one of the two, as they are both good brands.

Depending on what all you're plugging in, you may want to check that amp rating for the breaker for that outlet. If the breaker has a lower amp rating than what everything you plug in consumes, the breaker will trip and you'll have to go reset it. With new power strips, there's very little change of a fire starting, so the worst you'll do is pop a breaker.

It is completely random. People can give you figures and statistics, but the majority of them are made up. I agree that almost all figures are made up or incorrect. However, Jagex does actually make drop tables with percentages for each drop. They've talked about them in a Development Diary.

I've seen a couple other people post about running, but I was wondering how many Tipiters actually run. -If you run, do you just do it for fun, or are you on a team? -What distances do you run, and what are your best times? -Any training tips? Personally, I'm an okay/decent runner. I like cross country, so I run 5Ks, which are about 3.2 miles. It's pretty amazing. I really like the layout, and it's quite fast. I wonder.. will their new Java engine, V8, speed up Runescape much? has anyone tested it? :shock:

Yeah, I've been training strength and noticed that a LOT.

Pking is still around, and very enjoyable. I hate how everyone says it was "removed" from the game, when Jagex just took it and changed it.

Wish there were more GIMP tuts... Oh well. It's not over yet :pray:

Why do people never pay attention to what they download? Do some research, and never trust an antivirus software download until you can validate that it's malware free (use a computer tech site, or some software site that has reviews. Also, asking on TIF can be a big help :) ) And why do some people never do research before they speak? It is installed by itself, I never chose to install and I am guessing he did not choose to install it either.. It installs by itself. It does not install by itself. Ads pop up saying that you're infected or whatever, and you have to click on them to download the virus, which then automatically installs itself after it's downloaded.. In no instance does it ever download and install itself without you doing something. I have had several of the pop-ups, and my computer is still virus free :)

I noticed this while looking at the Jagex site job vacancies (which I do occasionally to see if anything interesting comes up). This is what I found: Original Page Edit: I was pretty stupid, and had no idea that the release of Mechscape was released. However, this is still some interesting stuff.
