Hell yes, first time I've ever gone about 20m or 30m :D Poor Beryl though (the girl teleporting away outside) We really gotta find a way to share it with her.

It's not, because they can, if you're lucky, either forget to put on protect items or have their prayer run out. What I was doing, specifically, was killing people, and, if I had a fair amount of health left when they died, turning off "protect items" so as to risk my spear the second they fell and not any longer. (Risky I know, but it is fun, and so far it has gotten me a whip, dds, ring of wealth, berserker helm, as well as a few more things)

:shame: in some situations its good to carry teles and i rather not get pj by 2 sharp red claws hitting my body and above all this guy wasnt pking idk what he was doing anyways Haha, I was just a little bored, so I decided to grab a set of guthans and go to falador on a PvP world. You always get attacked by someone, and they occasionally forget to turn on protect items when they die (I got a whip two days ago :D )

That's what I ended up doing--I unequipped it and dropped it right before I thought I was going to die. Only problem with that tactic is that there is a message warning you of the possible decay of your spear, which makes it much slower to drop.

Hm, wouldn't it count as luring? I had been just west of the bank, fighting 1-itemers. I saw the ancienter running around, and didn't think much of it. When he attacked me, my auto retaliate compelled me to follow him south to near the tunnel, and I saw a few people where he was running. At first I figured it was multi, and thought I'd just die then respawn in falador bank with all my items. So he started attacking me, I saw a few good 20+, and wondered why I wasn't dying. I soon realized that I was being healed and having my prayer drained, so I dequipped my spear and started running. When I was down to about 10 health I dropped the spear (which was hard to do because of the "if you drop this it will degrade) message, and I ran into the bank, lucky that his last burst didn't manage to freeze me. I banked my chest, grabbed my spear, and I was fine. Anyways though, moral of the story--Wouldn't that technically be luring, because he drew me from an area of relative safety to a place where his friends could help him kill me?

Ah, turning accept aid off would certainly solve all the problems. Alternatively, you can run around with a maple longbow and shoot the ancienter :twisted:

It wasn't multi-way, actually, rather just in south Falador. That's what suprised me most: I wasn't expecting any trouble in a single way combat zone. Only reason I survived is cause my (now friend) decided to dds the ancienter, allowing me to get away.

Hello all, I know this is likely the wrong forum, but I'd like to warn people of a scam/lure I just nearly learned about the hard way. On a pvp world, if you are four-iteming with any barrows set (as I was with guthans), you may encounter a team of pkers. It consists of an ancienter and 3-4 lunar mages. The ancienter puts on smite and barrages you while the four lunar mages try healing you, so that they can wear out your prayer all the way. Then they let you die and lose your spear, which would be quite the bummer. I'm sure most people already know this, but I figured I'd post for the others like me who never use PvP worlds and had no idea. P.S. Sorry mods, didn't quite know where to put this, please move it to the appropriate forum =) (alternatively, if you can think of a way, go ahead and make it more discussion-y) :thumbsup:

Well, up until this point, I had never given any christmas gifts on Runescape. Today, though, my friend was training range in the TzHaar place. He was having a bad day, cause he hadn't gotten any drops in his ten hours here. And of course, within ten minutes of coming to train with him, I got an obby shield, and gave it to him. I think that's the last Runescape Chrismas gift I'll ever get to give =(

lol, I disagree, i think despite him saying it's a joke, he actually means it. It makes about as much sense as all the other global warming nonsense.

Although this is true to some extent, you have to think about it from a business standpoint. They want as much money as possible. They can do that by making every eight year old in the country to ask their mommy for money. They don't care about the very high level player (the minority), they just want money, like any business.

Lol, theo, I wish that the person who did it to me had died, he was wearing nice stuff. And yeah, I was looking at the quest guide, but it was kinda confusing, which is why I asked for help. What made me even more suspiscious is when i asked "answer me truthfully, would you give me back my stuff if i died?" and one of them answered "I like cheese"

I was working on monkey madness, but i had no idea what to do, so I asked some people to help me. One was lvl 107 and one was 89 (i'm level 87). It seemed kind of suspicious to me that they were both so eager to help, that they were leading me in random circles past the same places, and that they would do things like tell me to put on protect from magic when we were walking past melee monsters. So I was hardly suprised when they led me to a bunch of high level gorillas which nearly killed me. Luckily, my ring of life teleported me to lumbridge with six health left. Does anybody else have stories about people being dishonest on runescape?

As cool as it would be for prayer to regenerate over time, it would most likely be misused.

How about that the weapon was a holy weapon. So when you tried to pk someone with it, a message like this came up: "The sword refuses to obey evil deeds" or something. That way it woulden't change pking... Give me reply back :-w Well, frankly, THAT'D BE COMPLETELY STUPID. The whip is meant to be powerful, but if you make something that is fast and powerful, it will be abused, and it will make everything way too easy.
