  1. Hey, I joined tif after him, and I can still play RSC. Join date (on tip.it) means nothing. I just lurked before that ;)
  2. Uh, no. A few years ago, Jagex decided that if you had not played RSC within the last six months, they would delete your account on it. You can only play now if you kept your account active.
  3. "Moonage Daydream", by David Bowie, haha
  4. Great articles, a little typo in "the early bird fights for the worm", though
  5. At death plateau, there are two trolls named "pee hat" and "cracker". I always kill them if I'm around there, because giving them a .0000000000000000001% of dropping their namesake seems like a thing Jagex would do, haha.
  6. WOOOT, About time \ Now to go have some fun in S.C. before five more levels..... :wall:
  7. I usually killed them at the hero's guild rather than the member's dungeon--Just bring your best armor, your best weapon, an antidragon shield, and a beast of burden. Kill as many as you can, pick up the drops, and bank, then repeat. Alternatively, you could range, but you don't seem to want to do that.
  8. These are some great ideas. I especially agree with the fact that training should be less repetitive and more fun. That's what a game is, right? If we implemented that, as well as being less dependent on having insane amount of money, I think the game would be much fairer for everybody.
  9. It would help to know your beginning summoning level. Without that it's hard to make suggestions ;)
  10. Alternatively, you can "gather" adamantite bars by shooting down aviansies with your decent range level
  11. As that sticky probably outlines, you just have to find an imagehosting website such as imageshack or tinypic, and upload the image. It'll then give you a URL under the name "hotlink for forums". If you copy and paste that into a post, your image will show up.
  12. Duradel normally gives "higher level" tasks, which can include monsters that are slower experience; namely metal dragons and other such things. So whenever I get too many annoying assignments, I just switch over to sumona, haha.
  13. Swamp toads are indeed bought, if you put in offers for max. And small pieces of granite are very easy to buy, although you can always mine them fairly easily, and get some nice mining experience in the process (I hate that skill, so I just bought them, haha)
  14. As I recall, you only needed to open that chest up to kill the shadow boss--so if you decided to put him off for the end, it could be waited on. And for me, that was one of the most frustrating parts of the quest--even with a higher than required thieving level, I still failed many times, and took tons of damage as a result. I ended up going to the minigame in burthorpe (whose name escapes me right now, haha), and bought a few hundred lockpicks >.
  15. When I'm REALLY bored I fletch maple logs from my kingdom into longbows(u). This gets me a decent amount of junk, so I have it lying around when I need it.
  16. If you "find that hard to believe", then you are either just making this discussion for the sake of having a discussion, or you already know what you think. Either way, it doesn't seem you want to be persuaded otherwise, so you probably won't be.
  17. Definatley aviansies, they are great money--I went there to get my first set of guthans, then went back with it to kill them for hours, haha. Now, they're even easier, with bunyips.
  18. I would definitely vote for the construction cape--so much more useful, and it leads to plenty more ways to spend your excess money (four steel dragons in a dungeon anyone?) And as for stealing creation, I love it: what I do is switch over to ancients before going. I skill until I have approximately 20k points, and then I thieve/mage for the rest of the game. It's fun, and if you run back to deposit your stuff at the end you get about as many points as you can use. (I've got around 600 points right now, and a few morphic tools+some sacred clay armor)
  19. Definitely a dragon long then; you can bring a dragon dagger with too, but only use it for its special move.
  20. Ping, I'm pretty sure battle robes are p2p only--so as for the question, no, they will not have their normal effect of saving your runes, nor will they give you stat bonuses. Same goes for any other member's item. (You may be thinking combat robes, which can be used on f2p worlds; battle robes are the purple ones)
  21. For what? A dragon longsword is a better all-around weapon, but the dds special move is very good for pvp, or basically anything that requires dealing a lot of damage fast.
  22. Stringing amulets would definatley get you from 88 to 94 in a week if you worked at it, but it might cost a little bit more than 8m.
  23. It might work, but you certainly shouldn't bet anything on it =P
  24. Are you able to ping the router? Try it. If you get 100% packet loss, it means that you're not even communicating with the router itself, in which case you should make sure it's set to use the router's IP as its gateway. If it pings the router successfully, make sure you're going through DNS servers (they associate a name with the IP address you're trying to reach; without your DNS asking for the address of google.com or some other such site, it would just give you a network timeout). If you're on any linux-based system, this can be found in your /etc/resolv.conf file.
