With 80m i'd buy... Melee Bandos chestplate Bandos tassets Dragon boots Black mask and Neitiznot helm Fury Berserker ring Dragon shield Dragon boots Whip I'd also get barrows gloves soon as possible Range Ranger set black dragonhide/blessed d'hide fury Dragonfire rune crossbow Bolts barrows gloves archer ring accumulator those are pretty much the best bonuses out there and leave you with enough for 90 prayer and for enough supplies to godwars Also bandos > dragon armour

I beg to differ about the hits thing, some of my best specials have been against metal dragons, if you hit you should hit high, you usually get 1 good spec out of 4, also the poison realy helps ut a lot.
-
yes, i'd say lose a shark for a terrorbird so you can use it near the end of your trip. also you only need 1:5 ratio on runes not 1:10 ;)
-
there are a few too many super potions there, i'd say 3 of each then 2 extra prayer potions, i usually take 10 (4) prayer potions 3 (4) pure sets 4 (4) anti dragonfire potions an axe 1 click tele dds a little cash maybe 2 lobbies/monks just incase and alchemy runes
-
To be honest i've hit 73 71 specials, with proof coming later when i get back. I haven't noticed a difference in the hits really, it's probably just bad luck.
-
To be honest i don't mind having a filter, big whoop we can't swear, i wish everyone was mature enough to realise they don't need to swear to make a point... Also in regards to taking some words from the filter, just because you don't find it offensive, someone else might... it's filtered because it can be deemed offensive, if it was removed, people would still find it offensive, and as it is no longer starred out you could be reported for it, that equals possible mutes and bans.

I'd like to see you afk steel dragons or gargoyles on a slayer task tbh ;) sure you can afk them at fast exp places and yes, they are quick to train if you go for the fast moneyless way However if you slay the levels the exp rate is much lower and is more profitable, Agility, thieving, mining, farming, runecraft, slayer and herblore are the skills that are most respected IMO since you have to pay attention and they take several months to get if you choose the most profitable method.

To be honest i don't even look at my killcount, i kill the brothers, then some random stuff that attacks down there, so far i've had 2 verac's skirts, 1 ahrim's staff 1 karil's crossbow 1 guthan's skirt and 1 dharok's great axe, all with random kill counts between 1-30. I believe barrows is all luck, i don't believe there is an exact drop ratio, the same with metal dragons, it's random. Some people killed 5k steel dragons, no drops...i killed 5 and got a visage, cruel world? Exactly the same at barrows, i heard of someone hitting 25+ dry streak, others get items on their first trip...

The Effects of the Runecrafting Guild
Wee_Man317 replied to DRUMINATOR17's topic in General Discussion
*looks at the prrice of pure essence and runes* These have dropped noticable, shortly before the update i purchased 180k pure essence with hopes of crafting 155k law runes and 25k antures, making me a nice hefty profit of 22-25m Now, laws have dropped nearly 45 gp in the space of a week, natures also dropped dramatically. Not to mention pure essence is 132 each, it's nearing where it was when bots were around, how is that good. *please note i'm not complaining that i've lost mills on the essence, i'll still make a profit from runecrafting, but not as much as i had planned* The tabs have basically killed what was a good skill. Runecrafting is now too easy, you play a minigame which is fun and gain runecrafting experience, to get tabs , to train even faster and make money... Also to the guy who nsaid rune essence has been dropping for a month i beg to differ, i paid 147 each, it rose to 157 i believe, then crashed as the update came, so where is your evidence it has been dropping? IMO Runecrafting is dying, not quite completely dead, hopefully as less people play the minigame, rune prices will recover. FACT ~ when the Warrior's Guild came out waaaaaaay more than 250k people could get in. Mining Guild, currently just over 1 million people can get into the mining guild and that has a 60 requirement, why can the rc requirements not be 60? wouldn't that make more sense, limiting the amount of players getting in can help stablise prices. -
They're going to do DNA tests on it to find out if it's something that's never been seen before, how do they know what Bigfoot DNA looks like. Seems like another hopeless scandal tbh. I read this story in the paper, and it's got about as much truth in it as anything that comes out of George Bush's mouth (sorry if that offends anyone, but i don't see how a monkey can be allowed to be in charge of a whole country)

Mrpez, you could put a link to a website with a medal table, or copy one into your post, and keep it updated :) Just a thought

Runescape was better way back when, IMO it has become "infested" for lack of a better word, with 11 year olds trying to get rich quick and having no compassion for anyone else, examples include nicking spots at places like blue dragons where there are limited spots available. Just last week i asked a player if i could use his spade for a minute to plant my tree, as i had forgotten mine *cursed leprachaun ate it i think* but the response i got was "no noob get ur own u poor noob" It's the little things like this...if i had asked a more mature player, they would surely have lent it me, wouldn't they? I believe that older players are generally better company than younger ones. Older players don't mind sharing pearls of wisdom, lending out low valued items, *that does not include using the item lending feature as everyone has a different opinion on this* by low value i mean things like a pickaxe, a harpoon, tele runes. Low levels from my experience have generally been the ones who value their pixels over friendship. *oh noes i can't bless that guy's grave i might not have enough prayer to save myself* Knowing full well there is an altar in the same damn room, sure he could have avoided dying, but in the end he maybe got unlucky, it's entirely his fault, put yourself in the other person's situation, example you lag really bad as a virus scan hits you, you can't put prayer on fast enough and die, as you die you cancel the virus scan as quickly as possible, praying that someone has blessed your grave. Finally you are lag free, you tele to trollheim and begin work on the kill count, only to see the dreaded message "your gravestone has collapsed" you wouldn't be so happy with other people if they'd stood there and watched it go, would you? If only the game was like it used to be, where everyone nkew everyone in a world and everyone was friendly, most of the time you get cold shouldered when asking any kind of question. I have found that the majority of younger players have no respect for, or care about, anyone but themselves, so why should they expect to be treated with respect and care? why do i find myself blessing the grave of someone who just called me a sad noob? because i feel that if someone protects him, it may just save someone elses stuff in the future. Prayer is EASILY regained, so why hesitate to use it? P.S ~ Nice post Randox

Try arma plate with verac's skirt and rune c bow with a zammy book/ obby shield? not sure if that's stretching it a bit, also an archer/torag's helm

Summer's Ghostly Warriors(Wicked Exp n Money)Need Your Loot!
Wee_Man317 replied to anish00b's topic in General Guides
A good idea to range might be to wear tank gear that isn't barrows, I.E dragon platelegs, this will allow you a bit of a defence bonus, while leaving you with a hefty range bonus, thus maximising ranged exp. -
I use 10 on maples giving me nearly 900 a day + nests with seeds, but this can be unreliable, if you get good seeds it's great profit, but on bad days, it isn't i also use the other 5 on coal, i break even on the maples and coal usually, relying on the seeds/nests for the profit, but it also gives me much appreciated farming exp :P You also get 1 seed per 100 maples which means 8 per day, which is equivalent to an extra 24k a day, not including the seeds you get from those nests, as well as god bird eggs, rings and uncut gems from the coal. lets take an asverage day for me. The kingdom takes 75k from me, i get.... 892 maples 252 coal 8 nests and 1 uncut emerald, entirely reasonable. 892 maples *40 each, at a low price = 35680 252 coal * 175 each, again at a low price = 44100 As you can see without including by-products, i've made 69780, so down 6k... Then lets add 8 nests at 3k each roughly, that's 24k + the cost of 1 emerald, say 500gp that's 94280 gp, so i'm in 20k profit, WITHOUT including any of the seeds. Lets say i get 4 rings, which will be banked. and 4 seed nests, i get 1 pineapple, 1 willow and acorn and a banana, so we're adding ANOTHER 15k to the whole thing putting me at 35k profit for doing nothing. The long you leave it, the better, if you leave for 2 days you'll get 17 nests instead of 16. so thus the chancesof a higher profit are massively increased. Personally i've made upwards of 400k profit from 1 trip using my method, 2 mage seeds and a palm, i think, plus the rest. As for barrows i usually use verac's and whip combination, and switch after every couple of hits. I also take slayer dart jsut incase my whip/flail decide to stop hitting. Pray on only Dharok to minimise the cost in prayer potions, if you ahve any spre i advise moving on to Karil next, unleshing a set of DDS specials into him usually kills him. I then move onto ahrim, if you have any specials left, use them, then either whip/ mithril bolt him. I then move to Verac as he is now the most deadly brother remaining and since prayer is relatively useless against him, yuo'll rpobably end up having to eat a little. Guthan and Torag are the easiest 2 and are usually disptached with ease using which ever method you find easiest. In the tunnel try to find your door straight away, keep an eye on your map and try to head for the centre, you used to be able to cheat and look across the "gap" but not sure if that's still possbile. You will then be greeted with a puzzle, which i think there is a list of answers with pictures in Tip.it's barrows guide. Upon opening the chest (if you haven't already found and killed your brother) the final brother should appear, kill him then loot the chest, teleport out, and repeat. A lot of people say different things about kill count, and i have found it to have no relevence, in personal experience, i believe it to be based on pure luck alone. Try not to use prayer in the tunnel as it rapidly depleats and is a money drainer. If you find your tunnel before you have killed all of the brothers, make a note of which crypt it is, then moev on and kill the others befoer going back to your tunnel. For you, i'd advise using slayer dart and ranging ahrim, it is probably the most cost effective for you at your level. Hope this Helps As for Avianses, i have never been and can offer no advice, lol

Avid, it was a rough guess, having never attempted 99 hunter i wouldn't know, the longest i have ever trained it for is like 2 hours, hence 71. 350 is still nearly 100k per hour which still makes it one of the fastest 99s around. Also, you definately need food for plunder, but you can't really consider it buyable, the food is only a means of staynig alive, very much like with agility. You still need to plan your time, put the right prayers on, eat, use potions/cure your poison, all while trying to cram as much exp as possbiel into a 5 minute gap. You get more exp with cooking per hour, but thta is lazy as you can click, wait, click and wait. With plunder, if you aren't concentrating don't be surprised to get less than 10k per trip.

The only skills i consider "junk" are Fletching, cooking and to an extent firemaking. I personally own the Quest Point cape and i have 99 Strength, working on Thieving The skills i believe to be most respected, are construction, prayer, summoning, slayer, farming, agility and herblore, these skills all require a great deal of time and effort. they generally cost a great deal aswell. Seeing my friend in construction/rc/summoning cape and partyhats has definately earned my repesct. However, i also believe that the amount of exp you have gained after achieving 99 can be important. Knowing players with 30m rc exp, 92m wc, 50m wc, 40m fishing,30m fishing...the list goes on and on, these friends should be respected far more than i am for my strength, and soon to be thieving cape. Why should i have more respect for having a worse skill at a higher combat level. Also, getting the quest cape at 85 combat earns my respect. The main thing is that if you're a higher combat level, your skill cape will be treated with more respect. Level 80's getting fletching and cooking just for a trimmed cape is no where near as good as a player who gets a relatively easy one, being strength, then works for Thieving. For Magmaguard3 Thieving is far from easy, it requires constant attention, even with plunder, i've personally never managed a 200k hour, I advise that you check out how fast and how much effort a skil requires before classing it as easy. If it were that easy there would be more than 5.5k people with 99. IMO you can't judge a skill just on time alone, there are other factors, such as how much effort you have to put in, and how much money you have to put into it. Sure a skill may be easy, but first you have to earnt he money for it, making it hard. I'd advise attempting one of those so called "easy skills" not including fletching and cooking, then come back with a better post Flame away

25% of British teens play Runescape according to The Times
Wee_Man317 replied to Scudman126's topic in General Discussion
I think i'd probably believe that, the majoirty of people on my friends list are british teens, with the exception of a few older players, and some from different countries. I think it's more likely that it's 25% who have played it at some point, not 25% who are regular players? I think that'd make more sense. -
Well said, people can choose what they want to eat so why should they be judged on it? Judging on something as trivial as what we eat seems pointless tbh
-
If you are vegetarian by religious reasons, why try to force those beliefs on someone else? Like i said, vegetarianism is a choice for most people. If you're religious, that's your choice, personally i don't believe in any of the religions, but if you're not religious, why use religion as a basis for an arguement? a lot of people take religious quotes out of context which can seriously flaw their points. Sure, it's against Buddhist beliefs to eat meat, as someone said, but just because they are, why should you be allowed to use their views as a basis for your own arguemnt if you don't believe in the same gods, etc as them. Until you convert to buddhism, you can't use their "laws" Also, as i have said, i have no problems with people being vegetarian, or not it's a choice. But i can't stand people who think religion should have an effect on everybody, why should i be told that certain religions don't eat meat by someone who isn't of that religion, isn't that sort of preaching their religion on me?

New PvP, exactly how will it not be used to rwt?
Wee_Man317 replied to Recksash's topic in General Discussion
ok, 1. What's that meant to mean? Jagex haev done something about RWT, they drastically reduced it by hurting the minimum number of players. 2. Yes, players still advertise websites, but it is a minimal number compared to days of old where you could go to F2P worlds and see litterally 10-15 bots advertising. 3. For some players it wasn't about the money, it was about trying to aim for a level, i'd rather have to pay a little more than have RWT "ruin" the game as they were. Raw materials were almost worthless. With a large number of bots around 1 tree, you'd get perhaps one full inventory in 20 minutes, that's about 4.5k exp on yews every 20 minutes, explain how that is a benefit? yes items were cheap, but that also caused several 99's to become devalued, for e4xample cooking and fletching, as they were too easy. 4. I still enjoy this game, ad i know for a fact over 150,000 other people do aswell, that's only counting the players who're online when i am. So they chased away a small minority by virtually ending RWT and saving their game. As some one else has said only 12% of players were PKers, that leaves 88% what did they do? stand around doing nothing. No your arguemnts are completely flawed, you'll have to do better than that to convince me. Runescape isn't dead, it's alive as ever. Some pkers quit, sonme moved to BH, but for everyone who quit, more players have joined. 1. The other way. They hurt quite a lot of people - not just avid PKers but casual ones as well - while not only not eliminating RWT, but creating a new one (BH) in place. If the effects of those updates are still present in some players, it certainly wasn't a 'minimum' of players. 2. Literally? No. I've never, ever seen more than one website being advertised by more than 2-3 bots each hour. I can only know that. 3. You level WC using yews? Who the hell levels WC using yews? Yews have always been mainly for profit. IMO every skill cape is impressive in one way or another. But all show some amount of dedication. That the players considered them worthless wasn't only because of the bots anyways, it's because they're just easier. 4. Yes, 12% of the Tip.it voting population PKs. This has absolutely nothing to do with the real PKing population (I can imagine, way more than 12%), and combined with casual PKers and the fact that other updates also helped cripple the game, like the trade update (which you somehow forgot to comment) I don't think that there is a mere 12% loss. And why would more players join? If Jagex screws up the game others will also know and avoid the game - not to mention that those who don't might still not find the new game fun enough in the long-term. Refer to my first point: Jagex just failed to think soberly when making the anti-RWT update... had they skipped to this new method of PKing, while not implementing the BH and keeping the trade update would have avoided the mass quittings definitely. I can tell you exactly who levels using yews, 2 of my good friends have gained 50m and 92m wc exp from yews, i think you'll find that's training. The game isn't crippled, lol. I think you may just be an angry pker tbh. I used to pk sometimes, it hasn't bothered me in the slightest tbh. you obviously haven't look, 2-3 bots advertising a different site soon adds up to 20+. ok, take one fifth of players max were pkers, that's adding 8% to the tip.it poll. they lost say 100,000 members, not inclduing bots. If bots had stayed, there would be NO credit card memberships, how long before they started using stolen phones? hacking Paypal accounts? then the game would be in serious trouble. Please don't talk to me like i know nothing, by the looks of things, i'm more intelligent than you. Can't post anymore Plundering to do. -
I think it's 10k exp no matter what your level, 10k Exp is about 1 tasks worth of exp at higher levels, and if you've nothing better to spend them on, then yes, the exp is a good option. I'd recommend learning both the slayer's ring and slayer's helm, skills before using points.

Will i be saving money then if I make bull ants and buy the marigolds instead of using the greens? I'd use crimsons until 52/53 then make spirit terrorbirds from gold. Bull Ants are a huge waste of money, I'd say use Any available charms, but make Macaws/magpies to get 49, then use crimsons for bloated leeches, then use gold for spirit terrorbirds, then at 64 use stranger plants for crimsons, also blues, while they may be expensive they are huge exp. But yeh, the greens are a complete waste and are easiest to get.
