Honest answer? If you're not careful, then yes, you can possibly kill your PC... I recommend (only if you're too uneasy about handling it yourself) that you take the PC and RAM to a computer technician's shop, and they can probably have you all handled within about 15 minutes flat. Devnull I'm going to agree here -- while installing RAM isn't so hard, it can mean the end of a machine if you do it incorrectly. Take it to a smaller computer store, where they're less likely to give you a higher charge on parts and handling. you make me feel like the bad guy here -.- but what they say is probably the best choice if you never had experience with this type of things...cause pc being messed up by your causes would probably cost more than if you take it to a pro

*thinks about HP laptops* My friend has one of the hp laptops, and his computer heats like 5 times as much as my laptop. how about hp in general... everything was stock....and the psu would....think the pc is overheating.. fortunately the psu died on me (lasted 3 1/2 years too o.o) until it got upgraded with more ram and a better psu im still wondering why the mobo is still alive... I WANNA CHANGE IT!!! with my dad's money :D

END (on topic) well first off.....get your items ready >_> RAM chips (memory) antistatic wristband (to protect ur pc) .......screwdriver if you need help opening the case compressed air cans (if youre going to do step 3.5) (idk what else) 1) PUT ON THE ANTISTATIC WRISTBAND (or ground yourself nicely; or you probably can touch the side of your pc case if you have no more options...releases static from your body >_>) 2) unplug the pc from the outlet =P (give it a short while for the remaining electricity to dissipate) 3) open the case >_> (from the side mmk?) 3.5) if your case is dusty.. clean it with the compressed air cans -.- 4) look for the memory slots on your motherboard...these might be between the expansion slots (pci, agp, etc) and where the drives are at (hard drives, optical drives, etc) or just look generally for them at the right side of the motherboard (looking at them with the expansion slots to the left) 5) pull back the pins that hold on to your memory... 6) take it out -.- 7) put on new memory in the same place 8) snap back the pins in place 9) close the case 10) there you go ummm....idr if the bios screen comes up if the upgrade occurs so can anyone clear this up and also add some more info just incase i missed anything?

cause with vista...you lose a gig of ram -.- and a good amount of video memory... (btw have you heard of 64-bit XP's? still would recognize the 4 gigs anyways) edit: is that vista you're talking about is 64-bit? (seems too good for $99)

Are you forgetting the RAM Windows needs to run? Yes. I forgot about that lol. And i don't know if he can return the product, since he has already used it and opened the package... But i don't remember what the laws say about that. I guess it's the old DDR, which is more expensive than DDR2... But i would still recommend buying a 512mb stick... 1gb costs mucho. Wilcher, in cpu-z... Does it say DDR or DDR2? PC2700 is DDR....yea its not that good....im surprised you could play rs, even for 2 minutes, run the OS and a browser at the same time :shock: at least upgrade to 512mb..or if you wanna buy the gig..buy it edit: due to the supply and demand...DDR is more expensive than DDR2..

well im planning to buy a laptop...well with vista, and my friend has vista and he says that switching from f2p to mem world takes over 30 mins.. has this happened to any of you guys? (or should i just upgrade to xp =P) edit: due the new updates....and the off topicness of the subject...just discuss i suppose

Dragon scimitar is the same speed as whip and scimitar. It all depends on experience rates, not personal choice simply enough. I think it has been stated many times that Dragon Scimitar has a higher rate of experience gaining than the Dragon Longsword, that is basically the end of the thread. I quite like the Dragon Scimitar's special attack, I think it looks cool and it earned me a glory amulet in an iron war once. Some level 126 was protecting from melee while getting piled and I Severed her and she got decimated in the 5 second period. No. Dragon scimitar is not as fast as the whip. Also, Scimitars are better for training. The special? Then just bring along a DDS, it's better than the Dragon Longsword special anyways. ;) Yes it is. Dagger=whip=d scim In speed anyways ok forgive me if im wrong..ok skim gots 1 more speed than long woo what fun but after i completed Monkey Madness....and got the skim...i had a huge upgrade from my d long and started to train faster and later on pk with it once i went with it...sold my d long =P also (note i've seen this with rune skim and long only...but same principle should apply to d weps) when im pkin and i use skim and my opponent uses longsword...for every 3 hits i do with my skim he does 2..now do the math lets say max hit w/ skim = 10 with long = 12 (to not be mistaken -.-) 10(3) > 11(2) even if the skim is less accurate its speed makes up for it.. now for the specs...yea yea d long is better..so..go add 2 more damage and its still less than skim (follow the formula) you may now start proving me wrong :twisted:
