Maybe my memory is a bit fuzzy, but isn't the replica override using shapes from before the "actual" old version?

23-Jun-2014 - Skillchompas and Legacy Mode Poll
It doesn't feel like it; I was hoping someone knew the actual boost. I switch between the three styles so this would be great if it actually is better.

Behind The Scenes - June 2014
When are the Lucky Clovers coming back? That's all I've been saving my keys for... :(

Can anyone explain how Hex was buffed this time? The hexhunter bow has been buffed again making it much more powerful against Magic based NPCs.

Ferocious Ring Fused to Mighty Slayer Helm
I find Kuradel's has a pretty much foolproof safespot if using Ranged, which is my preference on Airut due to the above problem with Flurry and just relative ease, among other things.

Ferocious Ring Fused to Mighty Slayer Helm
How much even is the boost? Probably not worth slaying things in Kuradel's that can be slain in the Tower (Morytania Legs 4, 10% bonus XP?) :P

Duo Nex!
Now when y'all mention ultimates, do you mean Death's Swiftness/Berserk/Sunshine? Generally I wouldn't use any others for DPS anywhere, just didn't know if it was different at Nex.

Pretty sure POH still use the old-OLD models for everything, since they have different npc ID's. Construction hasn't been touched in years. Friend has one, the static model (dungeon not activated) is the old one, but when Challenge Mode is on, it uses the new one. I rather expected this, but still... :|

The Ninja fixes were way better than the main update! Can someone please confirm that they were updated in Player-Owned Houses before I blow a lot of geepees?? :P

Duo Nex!
I'm wondering what gear and strategy my friend and I should use for duoing Nex. We're both maxed in all combat disciplines, and know the general details of the phases, but have only fought Nex with one person a designated tank in a trio. I have all Player-Owned Port armor sets, and he has all Nex armor sets. We could, however, trade for level 90 gears if necessary. I have Ascension Crossbows and Drygore Maces, and he has Death Lotus Darts and Drygore Maces. We've both done Fate of the Gods, and are hoping for 1-2 kills a trip. I'm sure with experience, we could do more, but this is just a starting base. Any and all advice at the moment would be helpful.

Spiritual Mages
Those aren't bad choices. You could wear Glaiven Boots for a bit of extra Magic def, as they're Ranged class, and don't interfere with your accuracy, as said, but they're far from significant. Spiritual Mages seem to have fairly low Defence overall anyway, but you could always just range them as intended. Alternatively, you could permanently block them from being assigned, as they're not very good for XP or drops, unless you're seeking Warpriest gear.

Man that sucks :( They're incredibly inconsistent. You got muted for all BS reasons, and yet I say shit all the time to random people (in retaliation, generally, but still) that I always think I won't be able to speak the next day after for... :|

Legacy Mode Beta - Coming 16th June
I really don't like the removal of LP from armor. POP gear gives absolutely paltry LP bonuses now, and even without it I seem to be over 10k LP. Maybe it was a good idea to assign a bit more LP to Constitution/Hitpoints, but not the vast majority of it... As far as weapon specs go, there's something I'm not totally clear on - I know that you have to switch weapons to use the Special Attack, but Special Attacks have no cooldown. If you have the adrenaline, you can use the same spec several times in a row. How does that compete with using thresholds with your main (higher tiered) weapon?

Slayer not worth it anymore?
You made the post I was going to so that I didn't have to! Thanks. :) Slayer does kind of suck for profit until you get to the very high level tasks which are typically very good. Abyssal Demons for instance may not be the best GP/HR in the game but if you consider the GP per kill they're far better than most "campable" monsters with average drops seeming to be 30k+ if I had to guess. Many other "newer" Slayer monsters follow this trend, with high-value common drops and rare drops that don't factor much into GP/HR but give a nice bonus and an "ooh!" when received. I'd like to add that Magic Notepapers have "changed the game" a little bit; many of the non-stackable drops that didn't seem worth picking up and making a trip to bank can be easily noted now, meaning one can use an avatar or combat familiar instead of a Beast of Burden. As well as the above, there are many combat boons released in more recent times that, if properly utilized, allow one to slay far faster than previously if one just knows what they're doing. I believe I killed a task of 180 Dark Beasts in just under half an hour, and 240 Abyssal Demons in 40 minutes just recently. Personally, I'm going for 120 Slayer (I want to have the icon of "really good at killing shit") so I may be a bit biased, but I can generally skip every task that isn't either very quick, very good XP, or very decent profit.

Does it work for off-hand too? No. Unfortunately you have to keepsake a separate item for the off-hand, and there is no off-hand flail. Although it isn't looking like much of a flail these days. Plz off-hand for Dominion Crossbow, Annihilation, and Flowers...!

Elf areas updates and Aviansie&Vyrewatch outfits 9/6
Before visiting the forest I might have agreed that it didn't need much. Unfortunately, after running around in it for a few minutes, I noticed many glaringly ugly objects, namely the passable trees, the fungi, the "beach" near the poison waste, some scenery objects like barrels and rope, and of course the NPCs, with the latter being the only thing excusable in my mind to be added later. I'm not a perfectionist by any means, I just feel that they should have saved these changes until they could do a more wholesome job of it - so yeah, I would have preferred a no-update week. Also, I know I myself partake in plenty of SGS cosmetics, and that they're managed by different teams, but I still continue to find it distasteful that SGS receives so much consistent attention when paired with "main" updates like these... :|

Elf areas updates and Aviansie&Vyrewatch outfits 9/6
Normally I wouldn't be so cynical, but after a quick run through the areas they supposedly touched on... THIS is what passes for a content update these days? The whole forest part of Tirannwn wasn't even touched... Lletya, which got the most attention, has new architecture, which is impressive, but overshadowed by the still-ancient NPCs and scenery objects. The Underground Pass simply got some retexturing, which is all I expected in truth, but the NPCs were also untouched, making the effort nearly for not... Finally, the Temple of Light may have some added lighting effects but otherwise seems unchanged. These are all very large areas; it would have taken a concerted effort to really change them significantly, and I understand that. However, it feels like they did the bare minimum here... Or less, even. But at least we have two new SGS outfits worth showcasing to make up for all of it! Right? Right???

Elf City – Design Documents - General Elf City Discussion
What if i want to go DIY to create my own urns, craft my own rings for divination, or farm my own marrentill for the altar burners? Then you'd be wasting your time But on the bright side you get some nice powerful tools to use so good for you Variety is the spice of life... even on runescape oddly enough. I think Urza's point was that there are certain activities/resources that only require low/medium levels but are useful across the spectrum. However, I think the actual issue there is that there aren't higher-level alternatives for many things - you can't make a skilling urn equivalent out of red sandstone, for instance.

Which Summoning Familiar Should I Be Using?
If you use a combat familiar, drag the Summoning icon onto your action bar. Right-click it and set the default option to "Attack". This makes it so that your familiar will automatically target the last thing you were fighting if you simply press that key. You could have the familiar fight the same target you are, or you could have it attack your current target and then you yourself could switch to another. Fighting multiple targets at once is only very effective when you have decent combat familiars, however. In addition to this, combat familiars that do not have an attack "distance" may be clumsy and not reach your target very quickly. I'm not sure what combat familiars are worth using even 30 levels higher than what you currently have. Familiar "normal attack" damage rises as you go through the levels, but even at 72 Summoning - the Phoenix familiar - a level I feel is "achievable", the damage is only around 300-600 (according to the RSO Wiki). Depending on what you're fighting and what kind of damage you personally are dealing, this may or may not be worth the extra effort to direct your familiar, and you may just want to use a Bunyip instead for its passive healing.

Has the way to fight waterfiend changed since the evolution of combat?
Indeed. For ranging, the Prayer you would be using would be Rigour. Having it active constantly while fighting is recommended. Using Super Ranging Potions, especially while fighting rather high-leveled monsters such as these, is also recommended. At about 3.5k per dose, repotting every 5 minutes, it costs about 700gp per minute to use them. I'd even recommend you to use Prayer Renewal Potions, which give you a visible timer that you can time drinking your Super Ranging Potions by. Prayer Renewals are themselves quite useful as well, giving more Prayer points than Prayer Potions, but slowly and constantly, over time.
