Just because money doesn't rule a game doesn't mean it wont make an impact. In runescape, most skills can be maxed ridiculously easily with a large sum of cash. However, in games like Warcraft, money doesn't decide entirely who is the best. so then it will be like warcraft, where only the no-life hardcore players are "the best"- instead of the average guy who makes a few good investments and plays for a few hours a day on runescape- i'd preffer the latter.

yeah well, now youtube noobs post stuff like "riot!! riot!!! riot!!!" no modern day riot could match ANY riot in the old days pest control riot was massive in world 44 fally sq i was there duel arena(which needs to be fixed) was probably the worst.. huge riot in the main staking world (i forget it)- there were so many famous people there.. i remember a level 54, he had "rebal" in his name, tried to stake me his red phat. he was very mad.

i don't have time to read his research, but jagex did say that letting money rule runescape was a bad idea. basically, if being rich doesn't give me an advantage over other players in a game, the game isnt worth playing. i'll try it out, and so will everybody else, because they think that there will be a "party hat" type event. i pity the foo.

hello, i've had this computer for a little over three years, i've had it cleaned twice and it seems to be able to run games fine. the two games that probably make my system work the hardest are bf2142 and oblivion, i can't run either on SUPER high detail but i can run them on high detail without much problem. now, i've been looking at alot of prices and alot of specs on computers from all different sources, and i'm starting to think i got royally ripped of for this computer (please note that i asked for a high quality gaming computer with plenty of space): audio engine: ALCAtech realtime audio computer: acpi multiprocessor pc (dual core) disk drive: 100gp generic storage volume, display adaptors: 256 ATI radeon x1300pro, '' '' '' secondary dvd/cdrom- sony dvd-rom ddu, tsstcorp dvd+-RW (dual layer dvd burner) monitor- dell 22'' (widescreen?) monitor processors- intel pentium d cpu 2.80 ghz, intel pentium d cpu 2.80ghz controller- inter ich8r/do/dh SATA RAID controller xp sp3 media center edition version 2002, 1.00 gb of ram i paid $1,150 for this computer after mail in rebate i also got a $200 scanner/printer in the package so you can subtract that aswell as for speakers, i am using a $125 system with a subwoofer (also included with computer) so, did i get totally ripped off? or was this a decent deal? please tell me what you think, and any upgrades i desperatly need for under $100 thanks

oh yes, the fix is as simple as "hurricane can only be used with the contemporary spellbook"

thank you for respongding. concerning hurricane- there are two ways it can be abused. 1. a player using lunar can use spellbook swap once, then for the next 20 spells they will be able to cast very fast, such as using HP transfer or other spells 2. a player using the contemporary spellbook can use hurricane, go to the ancient magiks temple, totally switch spellbooks, and for 20 casts they are a powerhouse concerning the total level- i agree with it, nooby rsof'ers won't

taking a desert treasure diamond out of my bank, thinking it was a slayer gem.. 15 minutes later, im in infinity maging skellies or something (i was level 61 here) BAM! stranger comes! takes me awhile to realize he was attacking me.. i prayed and ran. got to bank at 11 hp cause of poisen. took me months to figure out that i had the diamond in my bank.. rofl.

i had an odd problem today that never happened, im running a dual core machine in firefox with a powerful video card, however today while playing soul wars, my screen would just go black. not white-screened, but black. i wouldn't get a game crash message but i never had the problem before.. also- each time i would refresh the page, the java icon would remain in my taskbar, i had 4 java icons in the task bar today, i still have two, i believe it is something on jagex's end. i'm going to install the network tweak plugin first thing tomorrow morning, works wonders.

meh, not really. theres so much unique armor now its not like (2006) everyone is walking around in black dragonhide, rune, or mystic. there are so many different types of armor that i can't keep track of it all. if you want to look cool? theres armor for that if you want good bonuses? theres armor for that if you want to be lighter? theres armor for that if you want nooby armor to look cool? theres treasure trails for that if you still want nooby armor to look cool? theres a guy who paints [cabbage] if you want to look rich? theres armor for that if you want some respect? theres capes for that if you want to look totally unique? theres quests/minigames for that if you are having pain in your left knee? there are pills for that.

i enjoy the idea, actually that is an understatement. i am very impressed and look forward to seeing this spellbook used one day just a few minor things- would a player be able to use spell book swap to get hurricane? or would hurricane remain active if the contemporary spellbook is switched with another? if that is the case, for 20 casts, ancients would be way too overpowered. edit: after re-read: there is one thing i must call you out on, the super alchemy. do you realize that the runescape economy revolves around alchemy? this would cause nearly EVERY item in runescape to change prices, which messes with all skills and such, and eventually just because of one spell you can overturn the economy. although 90 SEEMS high enough, once everyone knows that this spell is out, it will be a mad rush with plenty of crashing and sky-rocketing of items to get 90 mage :twisted: as you see, alchemy is the backbone of runescape, you CANNOT mess with it, PERIOD. :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: and the 750 total level requirement won't go over well; you should probably change that for the rsof version.. they won't like the sound of that. dump load is probably my favorite spell.

not a bad suggestion, however we would definately need an option to turn this off.

i agree, the old dance emote was perfect, my suggestion is that jagex puts more "emote enchancing" clothing into the game, but instead of "enhancing" the emote, your character will perform the old version of any emote.

hello, as many of you have heard (or seen)- many console gamers are starting to use lag-switches to gain an unfair advantage over other players, especially in fps games such as halo, COD, and GOW. recently, a friend who plays quite a bit of xbox using a lag switch asked me an interesting question it went something like this: "what if you used this lag switch in runescape to have a pwnage kill to death ratio" well, he stopped playing runescape several years ago so he isn't up on how things work, but he brought up a good point; would a lag switch give a player any type of advantage in runescape? i understand that it is against the rules, and since i use wireless internet, i wouldn't test one. i'm sure some 360 junkies have tried them, what are your thoughts? i am not promoting or encouraging rule breaking.

ello all. i recently acquired the adobe master suite cs3.. so I've been fooling around with after effects for about 5 days and i just started Photoshop today. what do you think of this sig? it wont be permanent since i didn't include any skills or unique items, but it is just a temp. that i put together in about 35 minutes. ANY comments are appreciated :wall: any tips would be helpful aswell :pray: edit: i've also made two short videos using after effects, they are located on my yt channel

when their were just a few, they actually stimulated the economy and game, but once A C I D Y, and all the noob manipulation and buy-out clan started popping up, you really need an inside source to prevent getting screwed out of money. now, because famous players are starting clans with the message "buy all o dis and u get rich" jagex is going to have to do something about "merchants" #-o investors think for themselves merchants buy blindy
