Video editing program
before i was given the adobe suite, i used windows movie maker; however the effects and editing are mediocre. if you want some serious style and production value, i would go with vegas and after effects. after effects is usually overkill though. neither of these are free.

PLEASE help
a few steps that i would take: 1. change password on a secure computer 2. ctrl-alt-del and look at what's running (only for nooby keyloggers) 3. delete or do a google search on any runescape related programs you have, the google search is to see what viruses they typically carry, so you can go and bleach the files. 4.update virus scanners, and possibly try a netstat? highly unlikely you'll find anything using netstat, there is a chance though.5 5. you could TRY an online virus scanner, make sure it is trusted though, you need to be sure that its not mining your data or installing malware while scanning (happened to me)

very nasty internet troubles
i don't 100% understand your problem however, if the problem could be caused my runescape, some strict firewalls may want you to allow these ports: 43594,43595 those are runescape ports; yes, runescape has ports.

noobs on my wireless network
i'm not in that much of a hurry to put the encryption back on.. i've had this wireless router since before i even started playing runescape(4? 5? years), and the wireless signal was unprotected for at least 3 years until i realized that i had to edit the connection to make it work with my psp and thats when i put the WEP key on it. i wouldn't be suprised if some of my neighbors have been using my internet for years, once we even found a girl sitting right in front of our house on her laptop :wall: when we first got the router my dad paid some random guy $20 to "put a password" on it. there was no password on it when i finally got to it, this guy simply changed the name of the connected to "beatlesnet" (because my father loves the beatles i suppose) i think its time for payback.. sending them to that squid proxy, redirecting them somewhere, these people are stupid and probably won't realize that its coming from my wifi, not their computer. it appears that the code for the squid proxy or blurry images is written in perl. i do not know how to write perl or how to implement perl.

How to convince someone to download FF?
my parents (both 55) do not understand a single thing about the internet. when i used my mom's computer 3-4 years ago, i would be lucky if i could even download the newest version of java. basically, there is only one way that i convinced them (this may get you in trouble) i forget how i did it, but i made it so that her favorite pages all redirected to an html that said "sorry, internet explorer no longer has support for this page, please switch to mozilla firefox for continued viewing" they were foolish enough to believe it, but i have my own computer now so it doesnt really matter. ps- you'll be able to find a video on it, i believe its called "browser hi-jacking"

all programs close after 3-5 minutes.
i had my computer fixed about 3 weeks ago. it was running great for the first two weeks i got it back. i barely installed anything and defragmented my 10.38% fragged drive.. it was running (almost) like new- the guy who fixed it is basically a computer expert (has a business and everything) he told me that (even after it was fixed) it was still not 100% read here for the past 3-4 days my applications will close every 3-5 minutes. i have no idea what is causing this. i can get folders, text files, and the command prompt to stay up. i can get firefox to stay up if i restart my computer several times but this is not my idea of a smooth experience. games, virus scanners, itunes, adobe you name it- they all close after a small amount of time. WHAT could be causing this? and how do i fix it? i'll provide any other information you need.. i really would like this fixed. im using windows xp sp3 and i haven't installed anything besides a new version of AIM, java, flashplayers, and net framework 3.5. edit: it might have something to do with .net framework i think it started the day after i installed that- help?

noobs on my wireless network
edit: shes back, along with a visitor from ealier: ORHAN-PC........ and i'm 110% sure there aren't any hackers around here.. my friend connected to two network routers in the area using his ipod touch- they were still default admin/admin  i'm realizing now that the ipod touch is a really great tool for this kind of stuff- a lot of the apps are free aswell i'll probably look into switching to WPA- however i was wondering if it is possible for hackers to open ports by connecting to my network, entering my password, and going to 192.168.1.1? can they do this?

noobs on my wireless network
awh alright  i'm not sure why i'm using WEP actually, i read that WPA (TKIP) or something of that nature was a lot more secure than WEP- is that correct?

noobs on my wireless network
ello i'd say i have decent knowledge of computers and networks. recently i've downloaded some new apps for my ipod touch and have been working on my network security. for the past few days i decided i would remove the WEP encryption from my wireless internet- and i am surprised with how many people are actually accessing my network now. i am using an app for the ipod touch called iNet, which basically scans my network and tells me who and what is connected. right now it has detected: [hide] my wireless router my mother's computer my computer my router my psp amanda ********'s macbook [/hide] as you can see above, this female intruder is using my wireless connection. i find it quite funny. i would like to make it entertaining for me though- she isn't the first, nor the second visitor to my LAN today. what can i do to deter intruders? i don't mean along the lines of just putting my key up again.. since they are on my network, is there anything i can do to do maybe something like a net send, telnet, DoS, overflow or remote access that i could pull off? sorry if this is against the rules, but if these people are on my network without my permission, they are breaking FCC code. i deserve to have a little fun with them. its not like this an advertised hotspot or anything. ty for any help :D ps- doing nmap scan now.. i know nothing about macs though.. tbh i know nothing about computers compared to users on this forum.

A tally of Votes: Is Defence REALLY worth it to you?
as a ranged tank, i see a huge difference between 70 and 80 defense. if i put on some barrows and use a super defense pot, i get alot of "wtf defense noob" reactions from meleers with low attack and even some rangers : as you can see in my dueling vid (i was only 84 ranged) level 100+ had trouble hitting me. tbh i made that video over the course of two days- i was only beaten a handful of times. plus defense helps me defend against low atk pjers
