  1. This is what we call a J-Tag xbox. Those were the kind of people that made you have negative exp. I think anyone who mods their console in any way to get a competitive advantage in online MP (or even just to look cool like the 10th prestige glitch), should be immedietly banned for life. PS3 doesn't have the modding problem.

I'm so [bleep]ing happy. We just played our most important football match of the season. If we won this game, we'd pretty much be guaranteed promotion. It started off well enough, with us going 1-0 up within 20 minutes. Then they really started to hit back and a ball came across into the box, behind all our defenders, and the guy slotted it in the bottom corner. I couldn't have gotten it. The next goal was also theirs, a corner was headed out to the right by our centreback, but one of their players got it, and fired off a random shot that I didn't see till the last second, so I got a hand to it, but it went in. I made a few more decent saves, but we went into half time 2-1 down. Second half started, and for the first half we were solid. Nothing got past the defence 95% of the time, and when it did, it was fairly easy to come and collect. We were struggling to get good shots away, but about halfway through the second half we were awarded a free kick about 10 yards outside the box, dead centre. Our striker stepped up to take it, and took one of the most perfect free kicks I have ever seen. It shot just under the bar, and all the keeper could do was push it into the roof of the net. This boosted our confidence, and we kept our defence solid, while making some good attacks, but still nothing got very close to being a goal. At one point, we defended another corner, and cleared it away, and the team moved up to keep the pressure on. One of the other team got the ball, and knocked it long to their striker, who beat our leftback at the corner of the box, and shot. It curved in towards the near post, and I dived and pushed it across the goal with my left hand. As he ran towards me to finish it off, I jumped to my feet as fast as I could, and dived for it. I landed on top of it, and protected it from their player. It was brilliant fun. Then, somehow, with 5 minutes to go, a ball was played right between their centrebacks, and one of our midfielders ran on to it, ran it into the box and slotted it coolly into the bottom corner. I was ecstatic. He actually got booked for running around the pitch with his shirt off. We were all incredibly happy. The next five minutes we defended like we had never done before. Then, the final whistle went, and that was the end to one of the most nerve racking games I have ever played.

  4. TB X31's have a wire connected from the headset to the X360 controller that allows you to chat. The signal itself for the X31's though is wireless RF (Radio Frequency), that goes to a device that you piggyback off the X360's white and red cables that go into your TV. This means it's not completely wireless, so it's kind of annoying. But it's still a nice headset. The only thing is though that if you game a lot, the batteries go very quickly. Batteries on these things last 25 hrs max, and I've found that's only if you're lucky. Don't keep the headset on when you're not using it. I din't mean they were surround sound. I meant that surround sound is FTW. More so than a headset.
  5. Turtle Beaches, basically a headset with surround sound. Apparently it makes you better because you can hear footsteps more easily. I have friends that use them but personally I've never felt the need for one. But with Sitrep pro it would be insanely useful, enemy footsteps are increased 4 times in volume and your own and team's footsteps are muted. Surround sound
  6. Save the World, Get the Girl by The King Blues. Saw them live last night supporting Enter Shikari. Damn they're good.

I am completely knackered. Yesterday, football in the morning, then at about 5:30 I left for London to see Enter Shikari. Got pretty damn tired there, got home at about midnight. Woke up at 8 to go to football training, and our manager decided to have a fitness session. Running around constantly for about three hours, with two water breaks. As soon as I got in, I went straight back out on my bike to a nearby skatepark, and knackered myself more there. I almost passed out on the way home.

Ahh I wanted to go to that just for The King Blues, they're really good live. Have fun! You're right. They were [bleep]ing awesome. It was a great night. Really insane.
  9. It's awesome, but it does look like the scope is pointed upwards. I think it needs a slant downwards more on the bottom.
  10. Second is definitely better. The render in the first does not blend at all well with the background and effects. I like it, but there is something lacking that I just can't put my finger on. I'll ponder it while I'm out and get back to you.

Going to see Enter Shikari tonight. Gonna be awesome.
  12. Hmm. You're definitely rusty. There's waaaaaay to much going on. Simples is better.
  13. Great job on that one, Andy. Really? I'm not too keen on it TBH. I think my best one so far was Skully's one. I'm very proud of that.
  14. Hmm, that is odd. In the pictures I was looking at, all the ears seemed a lot more contoured than the ones you picked out for your manip. Don't worry about it being completely original, I just pointed that out solely because the colour doesn't quite match up. It's fine for it to be in there, but it needs a little tweak to look a bit more natural.
  15. I completely agree. Before, I was interested. Now, I'm definitely gonna buy it. The fight scene you get to play out in the demo if you so choose, is incredible. It was tense, it was exciting, it was brilliant. My heart was drumming against my chest, it was just so realistic. You may not have the amount of control over fighting that you have in other games, but it feels so much more natural. It keeps you guessing, as to what you have to do next. It's not just 'X' to block or whatever. 'X' could block when the guy tries to throw a chair at you, but when he tries to punch you in the face, it could be 'O'. Then, the next time he tries to throw you into a wall, it could be 'X' again. It really captures the unpredictability of fighting. Also, the characters were so brilliantly animated, scripted, and rendered, that I started to believe them. I felt as if I was involved in a real conversation. The game just works. This is all without mentioning the graphics. Oh the graphics. Simply brilliant. In the loading screens, you get a headshot of the character you are about to play. The detail is incredible, and the eyes especially struck me as so full of emotion, so full of feeling. The skin is brilliantly done as well, with all the pores, spots, wrinkles etc rendered in perfect detail. It's seriously incredible.
  16. Heavy rain demo is now on the store, for those who couldn't get it from the website earlier.
  17. It's good, but it needs work. In terms of accuracy, the nose needs to look a bit flatter and wider. The eyes are good, but it looks like you cut/pasted them, as something about them doesn't match the rest of the image. Not sure what, but it could be just a little colour adjustment that is needed. The ears also look very plain. Texture is good, but they have none of the shape that real (or Na'vi) ears have. They're almost there, but again, just a small tweak is needed. Also, the shape of the head could be tweaked slightly. The jaw of the Na'vi is a lot wider, so their face is shaped like an upside down house, if you know what I mean. Like this, but upside down: [hide=Here][/hide] I don;t know if you understand that, but, hey, if you don't, ask and I'll try and explain it a little better. This may sound very critical, but remember, what you've done is very good. I have just picked out the tiny bits that need adjusting.
  18. All right guys. Its seems no one wants to give ideas for a theme. I guess we'll have to leave it to the photographer to photograph something they think we could build on. I think that would be easiest, as I don't know what sort of things everyone is able to photograph. So, yeah. Who wants to take the picture? After that we'll go with the order on the front page.
  19. I went on this website every day since it came out, but I still haven't been able to get past a loading screen after you login.
  20. Had a pretty awesome game on terminal yesterday. I ended up 70-11, which isn't that great, but I had to die a fir few times so I could get my killstreaks again. I was using M16 (Noobtube), thumper, claymores, scavenger pro, danger close pro and commando pro. I just fired constant noobtubes down the main corridor in the centre. Got predator, fired it, 4 kills. Harriers, 8 kills, chopper gunner, 20 kills. It basically repeated three times. I ended up using three chopper gunners, four harriers and five predators. It was awesome. Also got 24.9% accuracy. I want 25%.
  21. Have you played heavy rain? In depth, and awesome storyline. Even from just the demo I was completely immersed and wanting more. Have you played the MGS series at all? Some of the best storylines I've ever seen in games. Uncharted 2 also has a great story, though it is pretty damn short. I also hear ME2 is a great story as well.

I had a maths mock test. Was pretty damn easy. If our class gets all A's and A*'s, our teacher is going to take us out to thorpe park. Gonna be awesome.
  25. Yes. It was in COD4 as well. I learned about it from the loading screens.
