  1. Celldweller - Switchback (Razorblade remix)
  2. I'm actually tempted to go, just so I can troll Tip.It users irl.
  3. Yes, there is such a thing as being too nice. Opening doors for others is courteous, as is lending some money towards a friend. But going out of your way to do so (say, giving money to a complete stranger) would be considered being 'too nice' as you're letting people walk over you. Some people will exploit this niceness, but in your case it just sounds like you're a nice guy. I often say apologise for other peoples mistakes, and no-one seems to care about it too much. As long as you don't let people walk over you and exploit your niceness, there is nothing wrong with it.
  4. I just went to check my stats and it said 'Your recent form has degraded your skill level to 0, now get back on the battlefield!' or something similar :???:
  5. That's how snipers work. Mainly, I prefer to work with one of my friends in teams and see who gets the better shot of our targets...Works so well and is so fun XD I see a lot of snipers die from that practise. I pretty much keep off the scope unless there is a target spotted, or, If I can see a target (who hasn't yet been spotted). If the target goes out of sight (or behind an object that I can't shoot through), I pull away from the scope, to observe the surroundings for other targets, and if I see none, go back to the target if he is back in the open. It's effective. I usually end up with around 10+ kills to 1-2 deaths. I also see a lot of snipers just wasting shots, like trying to shoot through rocks and always going for head (obviously the best thing to do, but it's a small target to hit and it can be quite hard on a bad connection), with magnum ammo you only need to hit from the chest up at medium range (doesn't get you a headshot bonus, but makes it more likely that you'll get a kill). I can't comment on the skill of those snipers, as I'm a pretty poor sniper, but with limited ammunition, and team mates who rarely give you ammunition (well, it's happened to me a lot, even when i ask for it), do you really want to waste valuable bullets?
  6. Hmm, by 28th August I'll have moved to London, and since I'm 18, I could attend. Shame that I don't care much for Runescape anymore.
  7. One thing I really hate is when people using the recon class hold the scope up to their eye for an inordinate amount of time. It's a great way to get yourself killed. Unless you're playing on a low resolution, it shouldn't be too difficult to pick up enemy movement, and then focus on that person, rather than aiming at one location *hoping* for an enemy to show up there.
  8. To be honest, I'm tempted to edit the posts to make them grammatically correct, but that's a bit draconian. Thanks for the laugh.
  9. Scissor Sisters. They don't like being called a 'gay band', but they used to play regularly at gay bars and a lot of my homosexual friends like their songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPwc-DpVFdc
  10. The screen is a 15.6" 1920x1080 screen, so it should be optimal (in the sense that it can max out the resolution, not that the screen is an optimal size). The only thing that i would use the Burner for would be archiving Photographs from my Digital SLR, but, I'm leaving that behind when I go to Uni, and I still haven't used up the equivalent of 1 blu-ray disc, which would make it pointless. I have two external hard drives currently (one is nearly full, the other is basically a second back-up or important information). I barely watch TV anyway, so recording HDTV streams is pretty much pointless for me. Anyway, thank you all for your replies, You have helped immensely. I've decided against the Blu-ray drive as the battery life when watching DVDs (let alone Blu-ray discs) is barely enough to watch a feature length film (1 hour 40 mins battery life). So yeah, thanks for all your help :)
  11. The music from The Sims Buy/Build mode was awesome, in my opinion.
  12. When I got my first PS3 game, I was amazed at how thin the manual was. A few years ago they were almost as thick as a small bible (Exaggeration, but you get the picture), and now they wont exist :( Anyway, like DarkDude has said, Ubisoft are my least favourite company at the moment. I was going to buy Splinter Cell Conviction for PC, until they revealed that they were going to use their awful DRM system.
  13. I had honestly the worst team-mates ever. I get into a match, assume a sniping position, then the other three players start tagging me with Tracers. They repeated this everytime they died. Then they proceeded to insult my skill & choice of class, when I have pulsating lights attached to me, with 10 kills and 2 deaths, while the best team-mate had 11 kills and 8 deaths. Everywhere I went, they would just tag me. I ended both matches with 10 kills and 2 deaths, not before receiving my fair share of abuse and how I'd let the team down, while really annoyed me. One of the guys names was [sAO]GeoMarine, and he had two mates with him. Apparently he's going to put it into a youtube video, showing how much of a noob I am, which, to be frank, I don't care.
  14. I'm not sure, but I think Primal items need 99 in that skill (i.e. 99 defence for armour, 99 attack for weapons), and thus I think that they do not allow you to get the drop. This is purely theoretical however. If you go into a team with a 90+ smither and 90 miner, you should find promethium stuff pretty easily, and you could ask for your team mates to make you a weapon/armour.
  15. I'm buying this laptop as a replacement for my Desktop, as I cannot take it with me to Uni (well, I can, it just wouldn't be very convenient). I will probably have my PS3 with me at some point (but i doubt I'd take it with me straight away). I also do not have any blu-ray movies yet, but I can see the price of Blu-ray movies is lowering, and they may be a viable alternative. Thanks for the help.
  16. It's not a Dell, but I just wanted to ask, what is wrong with them? (I apologise in advance for the noob question).
  17. I am buying a laptop soon, and one of the customisation options is between these: 1. DVD & CD read & write 2. Blu-Ray read-only, DVD & CD read & write 3. Blu-Ray, DVD & CD read & write The 2nd option adds £90 to the price, while the 3rd option adds £200 (I'm not really concerned about the price). So, I have two questions, all opinions are wanted: 1. Is buying a Blu-Ray drive now worth it in the long run (as I wont be updating for around 3 years). 2. I have a PS3, which obviously can play Blu-Ray movies, and when i go off to University, it will be going with me. So is the Blu-Ray read only drive worth it instead of the Blu-Ray read & write. I wont be using Blu-Ray for archival purposes, mostly just to watch DVDs, so this seems to negate any reason to go for the writer. All opinions are appreciated.
  18. As mentioned above, the Alienware m11x is the best performance netbook, but will also cost a premium price (which obviously doesn't fit your needs). Honestly, this is the only netbook that springs to mind which would fit your requirements. Just had a look. This Asus seems to fit all of your requirements, though I'm not sure it'd be powerful enough to view Full HD video. http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/index.pl?origin=gbase16.9&prodID=1794152
  19. Catch Vile Fish, cook them, then throw them onto tiles to maneuver the ferret. Don't throw them into holes, unless you know where the hole goes, as if you do, you may make it easier.
  20. As your level increases the XP also increases, thus you'll be getting more and more XP per level, so it may not be that slow. We'll only know when someone breaks 75-80.
  21. Got my 8th gold star on the M95. Now at level 19 with a 1.9 k/d ratio :D
  22. the thing is, the world as a whole socres about 110 on the mensa tests from 50 years ago. That would mean we are as humans 10% more intelligent than 50 years ago, which makes no sense, as our genetic material is the same. Therefore, intelligence is actually dynamic, as it is learned. It is not static, therefore not quantifiable. Just like the SAT's show how good you are at taking the SAT's, IQ tests show how good you are at taking IQ tests. Many of their puzzles have multiple solutions, but they look for the "right" one. If someone wants to get some kind of look on the intelligence on the forums, what else could you ask for to get some kind of pointer, other than an IQ test? I know, but I meant compared to these free online tests. Anyway, as you said, the tests look for the right solutions, but people work out problems in different ways, so in a sense, it gauges who's mind works in the way the test wants it to.
  23. The only tests I would trust are the tests you take to determine whether you can enter MENSA.
  24. Finally got my 6th Gold Star on the M95. The magnum ammunition specialization speeds things up a bit.
