  1. "Are you ready to hone your skills with your friends in online multiplayer battles? The time is almost here as Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is set to release its first ever co-op experience on console with Onslaught mode. This all-new mode that can be played with up to 4 players will be available on June 22nd on Xbox LIVE Marketplace worldwide for 800 MS points and the PlayStation Network on June 23rd in the UK for £7.19. Here's the rest of the press release from EA: For those new to the Battlefield, Onslaught will offer an introduction to the award-winning online vehicle warfare experience in the game. However, for the elite squads, this mode will provide them with additional challenges to accomplish new achievements and new opportunities to reach the top of the leaderboards. Also this month, the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 Kit Shortcuts will be available for 560 MS points or £5.19 individually, to further help those new to the game. These Kit Shortcuts, which unlock all items related to each character class, can be purchased as a bundle pack as well for 1600 MS points on June 16th on Xbox LIVE Marketplace worldwide and the PlayStation Network in the UK for £13.99. Defined by its exceedingly intense vehicular warfare, destruction, variety of weapons and huge sandbox environments, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is one of 2010’s top selling action games. The game is available in North America and Europe for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. For more information on DICE, please visit www.dice.se. For more information on Battlefield: Bad Company 2 please visit: www.battlefield.com. Or follow us on Twitter at http://twitter.com/OfficialBFBC2." I guess that the price is fair enough for the Onslaught mode, not so sure about the Kit shortcuts (not about price but about the point of them).

I'm getting two of these, and an iPad. I don't really need them, but hey, the tech is new (old?) enough to warrant the purchase. On a serious note though, I might be tempted by one of these, depending on the price. I've stuck with Symbian since 2004 and it literally hasn't changed in 6 years (S60 OS 6.1 to 9.2).
  3. Every news Website and newspaper does the same. It's not totally misleading, but yes, it's designed to get the maximum amount of readers. Imagine how many people (besides a specialist audience) would read a title like: 'Scientists enhance practicality of Quantum Entanglement'. Not very catchy I would say. I know it's not right, but they have to get readers somehow. On Topic: It will have its uses eventually, but for now it's basically just something for scientists to toy around with.
  4. Explorer[Caution: Executable File] (when not running through the file browser) is basically the component of Windows which displays information (taskbar, icons etc), essentially, it's the core of Windows GUI. When you close it, in task manager you can click File -> New task (run..), and then in that box type explorer[Caution: Executable File] and it will restore the screen back. I don't know how, but it sounds like your installation (or hard drive) is corrupt. That's my initial thought anyway.
  5. Football/Soccer usually does turns off my brain. Otherwise, you could just listen to my ex ramble on about nothing, that'd make your brain seize up :P

Two Unknowns for me: 'Light travels faster than sound, which is why some people appear brighter before they open their mouths' and 'I have tried to find your good side, but after exhaustive efforts, I have determined that you are spherical'
  7. Really, the only use for this at the moment is military communications (short range at that). And even that is theory, they haven't actually teleported anything yet, much less a conversation, so it's still pointless.
  8. To be honest, I don't think that they look terrible, I'm just not too keen on them.
  9. A reference from Superbad springs to mind.
  10. I never really use it to create a break in my height (never really thought about it like that anyway). I'm not really a fan of fancy belts. A medium sized Levi's rectangle buckle is all I wear (in terms of belts). Could probably change it up for a white belt if I was feeling adventurous, but I'm not really a fan of them.
  11. What does everyone think about tucking shirts in at the front just behind the belt buckle? (The shirt goes just a little bit past the belt buckle) Obviously I mean when the shirt is done up. I think it's add a bit of style (To me the untucked shirts, if they are quite a bit longer than the person's torso, I think, are rather lazy and slob-like, but I guess I'm too fussy). I also do this with t-shirts if my shirt is open (which i'm actually not sure why I do that, I guess it just continues the theme).
  12. For the obliques (which is what Russian twists are for really) this is a decent site: http://www.sixpacknow.com/obliqueexercises.html (they call them broom rotations, but they're basically the same thing). Basically, if you want to feel the burn harder (and strengthen quicker) use weights held out in front of you rather than a broom on your shoulders.
  13. I used to do parkour (not free running) and like the others said, you'll need to strengthen your whole body. If you're intending to do everything which parkour encompasses, you're going to need everything to be strong. If I was going to put a focus on something though, I'd do arms. Proper pull-ups (hands facing outwards) are going to be a necessity in training. As Myweponsg00d said, you're going to want to be doing a lot of abs exercises. Russian twists, bicycle crunches, weighted crunches etc will be good effective ones to do.
  14. Fair point. I try not to stick to one position and do actually move around. Obviously not like assault & medics but still mobile. I'm going to make a new account and just do all modes & classes on that like I didn't do this time around. That'd be a good idea, though I reckon it'd be better if it only penalised you for staying in the same areas all the time. That way assault, medics and engineers don't get pissed off because of recon not doing enough and causing them to lose.
  15. It happens sometimes to me, when a connection is dropped and I refresh the page (I assume the page is loading from the cache). Try emptying your cache, the restarting Chrome and reloading facebook.
  16. I've got the ratio I was aiming for, shame that 4 is going to be almost impossible unless I don't die for the next 1500 kills. Around 350 kills off the GOL platinum star, then I'll move onto the M24.
  17. I don't. It bores me, and for me it's rather useless (as in, training it, not the skill itself).
  18. Working, Moving out & Moving in, finding a new job and going on an epic shopping spree in London
  19. I usually shop at Superdry, but I'm impartial about brand choices. I also buy from Primark (cheap store), Red Herring, St. George by Duffer, SoulCal and Espirit. Because I'm rather slim, I find Espirit has the best fit. If you want to roll up your sleeves, then I can't really recommend Superdry. As I mentioned, I'm slim, and my clothes size is small (depending on brand it can be medium). Superdry shirts tend to be quite thick (also a problem for summer wear) and with the first shirt I tried (had pre-rolled sleeves) I was unable to fit into it, as my arms would not go through, so I ended up having to by a medium which is looser fit around the chest but perfect on the arms. Espirit shirts are about $45 or less per shirt (I'm not sure if you get a student discount in America, but it would be good to use that).
  20. To use Crossfire, you have to use two of the same cards. 600W should be fine, at least for the time being. It's better to use RAM that is of the same brand (and preferably the same range from that brand). It shouldn't cause any problems, but like OldJoe said, the slowest stick will be the one that determines speed. Overclocking is simple enough, as long as you don't push it too far (for instance, my Laptop's Core/Shader/Memory clocks by default are 550/1350/900, which is already overclocked, and I can get them to 660/1600/1100 stable. But, my system is designed for overclocking, whereas I wouldn't trust that computer so much). All you'd need is a piece of software. Again, I'd read up about it and be very cautious. After all, if the system is damaged from overclocking, you're not covered in the warranty.
  21. Hmm. I noticed that after the 1.03 patch on PS3 the binoculars are now exactly the same power as the normal scope on sniper rifles, which is annoying, but fair. I like how White Pass (don't know about the other snow levels) has lost the annoying blue tint, it looks much more in keeping with the other maps.
  22. There's a loophole in the gun license renewal system where it can be updated by post (e.g. in Cumbria) in certain areas, and not require a police visit (which is to assess the individual) or a checkup by a Doctor/GP. He had the gun license for 20 years, so he would have needed at least 4 checks in that time, whereas he had one initial one. I'm not saying that his breakdown would have been apparent or obvious, but it's still a loophole none the less. From what I've read, this was a gradual thing building up to the shootings, rather than just one burst of rage.
  23. I'd say that the jeans are too light for a black blazer, but that's just my opinion.
  24. SA guns are downloadable content (cost about £4 for the whole lot). I've got the M95 & M95 SA platinum stars, and now I'm working on the GOL & M24 platinum stars. Got around 300 kills with the M24 and 500 with the GOL (I would check, but I'm downloading the 1.03 patch as of now).
