holier than thou attitude - F. anyways, it was a good way to celebrate my one year anniversary at tip.it forums - stellar way actually. i love killing threads <3 and making them worth reading. :) so all these 'mature' members (ie: dumb people) can stop posting, no one wants their opinions.

Well, I guess it's hard for them to accept when they've been outplayed and outmatched by such a great person.

no. and please, leave the "proverbs" out of this - we already know that I know more than anyone in this thread thus far about "Scandinavian metal" - funny how I hardly listen to it too! regardless, do you know even know what the word 'elitist' means as a noun? i didn't think so. now if you want to attack my elitist attitude, well sure, go ahead - doesn't change the fact that I'm still better than you. wow, damn, i feel great. is it just hot in this thread or am i on ffffireeee? yea, i haven't felt like this in a while, woo! I know more about Post-industrial-ambient-death-fusion-metal than you. My favorite band is Äkklóûtisk. They have 23 members: 21 cellists, a drummer, and a glockenspiel. They're so obscure, they don't even exist. I saw Burzum in 1967 when James Hetfield was their bass player. What are your credentials, [wagon]? Everything you just said - [cabbage]. Anyways, nice try, but it was a spectacular failure. I never mentioned the word 'obscure', (in fact, you probably listener to 'obscurer' bands than I do). So, I guess you're talking about a completely different thing. F. - next?

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah good one. I'm very sorry for you.. but it's my opinion, so you can't challenge that. I can name a few.I still enjoy old NightWish and Epica. Nightwish is still my most played band :) If that's your opinion, fine, but gtfo this topic then. Sorry, I just did. Are you going to defend yourself or keep [bleep]ing like a [bleep]? lol nightwish? you are a [bleep]. no, it's not opinion, it's fact, you idiot. i know more about swedish/finnish metal than you anyways.

Ah, just because your music scares us doesn't mean we're worse than you. Just as a relatively large number of the "metalheads" on this board despise rap (well, I don't despise metal, just doesn't sound as good to me), we just don't love metal or its two million subgenres created for each song. That's just my humble seeing of metal. I like softer rock, with very pronounced drums, bass and guitar. That's the majority of what I listen to, although I have bands as varied as MIA to Cynic on my Zune. Chill. We're a minority here, and we make nervous jokes about our musical tastes' differences to yours. I've been listening to Chicago a lot today, as well. have you seen this topic? there's not one person who has listed an 'obscure death metal' band, except me of course. in fact, a lot of this [cabbage] is humble.

I MEAN FORGET TRYING TO ACTUALLY READ SOME OF THE LISTS OR LOOK AT THE GENRES OF THE ACTUAL BANDS OF THE MAJORITY OF THE TOPIC AND OUTLINE ONE POST AND PRETEND ITS NEARLY THE ENTIRE TOPIC EXCEPT FOR ONE POST. I LOOK REALLY INTELLIGENT SIMPLIFYING DEATH METAL TO SUCH A DIMWITTED THING DON'T I? OH WAIT - NO ONE CARES, DAMN, MISSED OPPORTUNITY!

Nice relaxing, ambient music.
do you prefer earlier autechre or later? I think I prefer their earlier work, with Tri as my favorite album. But their later, more abstract, stuff is great too. year i prefer earlier work too, i especially like incunabula, probably my favourite. their later stuff is sort of weak, but better than most imo.

Dream Pop/Shoegaze

Dream Pop/Shoegaze
So, I've been putting metal down for a bit and relaxing to some Slowdive (who I find better than MBV!), and I've also been listening to the cocteau twins, etc. - anyone else a big fan?
