You guys can't pronounce my real first name. Haven't met anyone who isn't Estonian or a Finn who could pronounce it right. If anyone takes that as a challenge, I think my Skype is up on my profile.
  2. Antarctica 10-day tours and so can be had from ~4000 bucks, if you can get yourself to Ushuaia.
  3. Not if I beat you to it first. I'm only missing South America and Antarctica :D
  4. Well, also consider the fact that most of the people there are currently single, otherwise they wouldn't be there. So you can take it as all normal guys have already been taken and only the jerk-ass beefcakes are left ;)
  5. The Border, by Erika Fatland (in Norwegian) The author travelled through all the countries neighbouring Russia and wrote about their relationships with Russia, about their past and present. She even somehow got into North Korea, Nagorno-Karabakh and the Ukrainian separatist states of Donetsk and Lugansk. Pretty bloody interesting.

Turns out my uncle has grown up and matured... a bit. He didn't jump in our faces and realized it was his fault alone he didn't get a suit. And well, he managed to mix and match something together from the old and hand-me-down suits out here. He also behaved nice... while sober. After we got back to my grandparents' place from the ceremony, he got drunk again and started winding himself up like we are guilty of everything. And that we want to take over his inheritance and whatnot. Yay, drunk people.

I love it how the Today thread and the relationship thread are the only active parts of this board. But damn, dealing with drunkards is hard. My own uncle was supposed to be in our capital by around lunchtime to get a suit for my grandma's (his mum's) funeral. He is pretty incapable of doing that sort of stuff himself, shares that with my grandpa, womenfolk have taken care of everything. Well, he doesn't show up at lunchtime. Still at my grandparents' place, a hundred miles away. Supposed to get on the bus and arrive by 3.30PM. We go out to meet him at the busstation having waited in town for a few hours already, when he should be there. Nope. Nothing. We call him, he fell asleep at his place, which is in the same village as my grandparents' place a 100 miles away. Says he'll be there by car at 5 PM. At 5.30 we call, he has driven past where he was supposed to drop off. Half an hour later, he stumbles out of the bathroom, after having pissed himself cause he couldn't find the bathroom in time. He can't walk straight or talk or anything. We take him straight to the car, but it's on the other side of the biggest mall in country, so quite a walk. I have to keep him up, cause he'd fall on someone or something. And he asks me if I have a spare set of pants in the car and where are the suit shops... Well, obviously we ain't going shopping with him. And we drive home, after washing the car. He sleeps through it, but right when we start to arrive home he wakes up and wants us to turn around and go suit shopping. Needless to say, specialist shops aren't open past 7 PM... Then he starts blaming us that we didn't want him to go to my grandma's funeral and that how in the hell can he go to the funeral without a suit. All of our relatives and stuff are there. Now he is asleep on the back seat of our car. I can bet he either wakes up in the night and starts shouting at us that we are to blame for him not having a suit or he is asleep til morning when we have to head out to prepare the burial grounds and everything and have to wake him up and he is still gonna blame us for him not having a suit. Can't win when dealing with drunkards. He is otherwise a guy with golden hands. He is dyslexic and was hyperactive as a kid, but so good with everything mechanical, that it is scary. He works in Norway and earns quite a bit, but it all goes into booze. And cigarettes.

You don't have to be a dick. There is a bit of an area between being a dick and being as completely pc as possible. I mean, I don't know how it is in States, but here we have treehuggers protesting cause the government wants to take down one tree to improve the road conditions on one of our most congested intersections. They can't even clean-up trees from below power lines anymore, cause treehuggers. And god forbid anybody mentioning taking down a tree for firewood or furniture or construction. All hell breaks loose.
  9. You can't have just shit pictures. You've gotta have at least one photo already, which is at least a wee bit flattering. And just that one pic is enough. For a start. But seriously, getting good photos takes one night out with a mate who knows how to use a camera.

In New Zealand, it is actually a really valid question among the Maori. They are super proud of their inheritance and can tell you heaps about it. That is, unless they are the South Auckland mix... Political correctness has gone a wee bit overboard. You can't do pretty much anything without offending someone, which means you can't really do anything. And then you get complaints about not doing anything.

  12. Got Yakuza Kiwami, the original. So far, pretty interesting, but I am only about 2 hours into it.

You still need 67 more. Btw, do we have some sort of a discord or sth? Could maybe work for OT...
  14. My phone somehow keeps chucking me into desktop mode.

Messing around with and organizing a funeral and all the paperworks and inheritance and stuff is a pain in the butt. Specially if you are abroad. Oh well, I'll be on a boat tomorrow and back at homeland on Thursday for a Saturday funeral. Turns out that once the paperwork is complete I own a house and a car...

Can't get them for under 3 euros here, which is like 4.50 bucks?

We don't really have beans. And if we do, they are stupid expensive. My closest grocery store is 40 km's or about 25 miles away... Good thing we have a tower fridge and a chest freezer, otherwise would be completely [bleep]ed. For perspective, I drove 3000 km's or 2000 miles in 6 days leading to past Tuesday. And about 200 km's or 120 miles a day since. Good thing we have Volvo diesel wagon, which sips about 4 and a half litres of fuel per 100 k's, otherwise we'd be paying our asses off with fuel for 2 bucks a litre here.

Nope. And most routers should function as a modem aswell, at least as long as you have a 21st century connection.

Chugging 8 pints of beer after having been sober for 2 months works aswell. At least for me. To the low fps point, that is. Getting fall down while trying to walk is hardcore mode. Almost always includes teleportation and puzzle games next day.

Booze is pretty cool. But make sure not to overdo it.

My first, and so far only 99 took ages. And I remember I had a crowd celebrating it with me. But that was like 6 years ago. And hot damn, it's gotten cold here. Minus degrees on nights.

I can't handle anything other than cotton or linen as bedsheets. Just, eugh. In about a week and a half my best mate is coming over and we'll be having an epic road trip. Shame me mum and brothers are also along, so the car is gonna be packed, but I hope it's gonna be all good.
