I suppose you learn an automatic? As a starting driver, most important is to keep eyes wide open and drive defensively. Although, if you have experience on scooter, should be ok. Also, beware the weather.

Just started a new run of the Witcher aswell, but get them games out of the Today thread! Back home, and the so-called "beast from the east" has attacked. Meh. Normal winter here. Also, the dick museum was closed and moving right when I visited Iceland. Bleh.
  3. Due to me being an above average traveller I also have quite a few friends of both genders that are like me. So when I tell my relatives or family about their adventures and how I wanna experience something like that aswell I get some odd looks and questions aswell. I have to admit I have thought briefly about a few of the female friends sexually aswell, but at the same time it seems I can just bury the thoughts and cherish the friendships. But seriously, one of my female friends is currently traveling around Kyrgysztan. So jealous.
  4. Started Doom on PS4. God how I love the Super Shotgun, just a shame that it eats ammo. It really is quite different to most of the shooters I have played before. Also, the maps are crazy. I think I explore all nooks and crannies and I find like maybe 1 of 8 collectibles...

I think that 4 weeks or 28 days of paid vacation is common to pretty much every country in European Union. Don't know about that 13th pay though. Also, yeah, unemployment is a thing in Southern Europe right now. On subject of repairs, it takes a lot of time first time around, but for the second time it already takes a lot less. However, water pump is one of those weird crazy parts that have different solutions on different cars and on some cars you even have to lift out the engine to replace it... And on ones that run on cambelt it is usually replaced with the belt itself aswell...

Oh really? I had the pleasure of working in an industry where geolocating was of immense importance. Damn how good these stuffs are nowadays.

Just get a real car. With manual, that is. Kinda can't believe it, but in a few days I'll be taking the current world's longest continuous flight. 18 hours trapped in a plane. Can't wait to see home.

Can't see the olympics, as have no TV or paid cable and geoblocking and my VPN subscription ended just a week ago due to me being completely broke... First time since... ages that I haven't seen the opening ceremony. Oh well, at least there is Youtube.

Well, it might be quite possible to get the degree in UK and then work back in Estonia without getting paid that much. But I imagine you could live relatively well with £25k a year, couldn't you? I mean, I lived relatively well with €10k a year back home. And about €3k of that was spent on travelling aswell...

Iirc, UK has a system where you don't pay back your student loan until you reach a certain level of income. And that income is pretty high, meaning paying back the debt should not be that much of an issue. Also, the interest rates are really low, as it is guaranteed by the government.

If you have a knack for mechanics and the price is good, go for it. But if you don't, you might aswell buy a bigass paperweight. Done with the NZ Nationals of disc golf. 3 days of crazy discing, I am absolutely terribly sunburnt. And exhausted. But quite happy, was epic.

Went out playing disc golf today, ended up with a freak thunderstorm and flash floods. 3 people missing and probs dead, as they were swept away by the flood, my bike is probably underwater, tens evacuated and/or trapped. Emergency services have helicopters up and about. A few pics and news report: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11987676

Bloody motorcycle chainlinks having wrong sized closing links packaged with right sized main parts. Second bloody link that doesn't work. Sometimes it makes me think everybody wants you to let the maintenance be done by the mechanics so that they could earn more money... 2 more days of being bandaged up. Can't wait to finally get a proper shower without plastic wrap around my arm. Getting all itchy around the bandage already. And obviously I am the complete master of all social interactions, as perfectly exemplified on the end of last page.

    There we go.

Things like this happen and there was absolutely nothing you could do about it. It definitely sucks a young and presumably healthy person has gone this way, but that was that. Serves as a reminder that it can happen to anyone and you should take the most of each day and cherish the ones you do still have.
  21. If we get any more votes we might see it.
  22. Finished Watch Dogs 2. Surprisingly good game. Really worked. And I enjoyed the story, kinda too on the nose, but maybe not.

Yes I was. If I had not had the gear on, I'd probably not be walking, cause I hit a road railing with my foot and my boots are completely ruined, but my legs just got slightly bruised. However, the pants rolled up on right leg, which caused me a road rash, which has by now almost completely healed. And there was no way to tighten the cuff on the pants. Also, there was some loose gravel on the road and somehow two pieces found their way up my sleeve through the cuff, since I had it loose to let more air in in this stupid hot weather and the two pieces of gravel landed exactly under my right elbow, on which I landed with most of my bodyweight and caused two nice holes in it. The holes are the ones still to heal.

Everybody dies eventually. I may sound like a heartless bastard, but that is inevitability. Damn how long wounds heal. It's been over 3 weeks from my motorcycle crash and still the wound starts bleeding every time the bandages are changed, which is in every 2-3 days. At least the holes in my elbow have at least started filling out with new tissue. And it doesn't hurt unless I hit it on something, so I haven't taken any painkillers in over a week now.

We have 3 months of summer holidays in all schools so the temperature never gets that hot outside while school is on. To be frank, the hottest ever recorded in my country at all is just 96F, so I doubt my eyes would ever see 110F heat back home.
