I'm in LA, staying in a room without AC and I have a terrible sunburn. This place is like inferno. Can't wait to get to New Zealand, it's winter there...

105F here. Enjoy the heat because personally I can't wait to graduate and move out of LA to somewhere that isn't a desert (And one that goes out of its way to pretend it's not) Fun thing is, I am in LA right now since yesterday. No way to sleep at all in this heat. Also, that smog. Never thought it would be that bad. And the city is freaking huge.
  3. Finished reading 1Q84. First book of Murakami that I've read, it is pretty magical indeed. 1150 pages of awesomeness. Took a lot of time, but once picked up, was hard to put down. Definitely a recommendation.

-8 degrees out. In summer. Lucky it's my last day of work and on Tuesday for a week to LA to warm up my frozen bones.

Dunno what you guys talking about. Just a regular day.

6 days left here, in 12 months of frost... Also, that dragons n stuff. On next Tuesday, I will presumably be visiting your glorious state of U S and A, or more specifically California, however that ESTA result has not arrived yet...
  7. The game starts out pretty generic for the first hour or so, however past that, once you get out the first area and to the robots, it is amazing. It all is connected together really well, better than anything since AC II (if you don't count the Witcher 3, which is also in its own league). The story, the combat mechanics, the graphics, separately they are just good, nothing too special, but it all put together creates an amazing atmosphere, which is even more amazing considering it is the first title of that kind from Guerrilla Games, which previously only made Killzone FPS-es. Haven't lost sleep for a game for a really long time, however did lose for that.
  8. If you have a PS4, get Horizon. Been playing it daily.

Anybody know a car rental in California (heck, the whole USA?) where I can get a manual? I just don't feel that much in control without having the chance to control my traction and rpm's. On topic, [bleep]ing cold out here. Everything was frozen this morning. Nice summer.

Something happens to Bran? HOW CAN YOU SPOIL THIS TO ME??? (actually having the GoT live at 3 AM on Sundays at the same time as the glorious states of USA is pretty sweet) And RPG, no. He is Estonian. From a small village in the countryside even. Used to love BMW's over everything else way back when my mom and he met.

Met my biological dad for the first time pretty much ever. After 23 years of acting like not knowing me at all invited me to the extended family reunion out of the blue. I went. Turns out, he is a "disabled" racist unemployed drunk. Disability is a bit of a joke and unemployed is also questionable, since he has a million dealings going on all the time, however according to law he is that. My real dad is a hardcore metalhead American muscle loving beer-drinking dude. Long blonde hair, cowboy boots all the time, Route 66 jacket (certified, rode it through), owns the only Hummer H1 in the country, also owns a GMC Syclone, a chopper, and some more huge classics. I now know where my egoism and arrogance and activity comes from. Life is strange.
  12. Horizon: Zero Dawn is great. It sounds like a generic open-world adventure, but so far it really is different. The polish, the mechanics, it all adds up to something special. It is more than a sum of its parts and it really is comparable to Witcher 3 as the greatest game ever. Also, a bit unexpected that it is so great.

But if you wait until later to buy them, won't they just be more expensive...? Yeah, but I'll get my paycheck on 10th of August. Got a few mates over here for a fishing trip. Feels nice to not having to be alone all the time.

The weather here has turned to shit. We've had about a month of awesome weather, didn't seem like Norway, but rather like somewhere in the tropics, but now it is thunder and lightning and shit. [bleep]. Also, I still don't have plane tickets to cross the oceans. I'm supposed to be in LA on 30th of August. Can't afford them right now until the 10th of August... [bleep].
  15. Finally got MGS:V definitive edition, with ground zeroes and all dlcs. Haven't had a chance to try yet.

Came back from a long trip through Southern Sweden. Over a thousand miles, and finally got to drive in a proper rainstorm aswell. As I got my drivers' license just a month ago, didn't have much chance before. That shit be crazy, crazy winding Norwegian mountain roads where you don't want to drive too fast anyway, in the night, in the fog and with a proper rainstorm. Some guys were doing just 35-40 on the road, I went with around 45-50 on the last part, our road home I have driven tens of times. Also, Gopros are awesome, got a session 5 hero and happy with it so far.

Collision Course was my entry to LP and they were my favourite band for like 7 years in early to mid 00's.... Damn.
  18. Haven't had a chance to use Uber yet. We have a better solution called Taxify, works all over Eastern Europe and gets official taxis as well as private people. Tinder still works abroad, though not as well as back home.

We also have coax. The adapter looks funky, but it works better than any other solution we have tried so far. In other news, a random guy landed with a hang glider in our back yard today. Turns out he was attempting a Norwegian record for distance, but the winds turned 30 kilometres before setting a new record. He holds the old one aswell by the way. The guy is 62 and has flown for 41 years and written 3 textbooks on hang gliding. Most experienced hang glider in country. Flew over 200 km's to get here. Gave the guy a lift for 40 kilometres to a place where his clubmates could pick him up. Left the glider in our yard to pick up in a few days. The glider is worth $10k. Life is a [bleep]ing adventure.

I wish I had 2 cars. Also, we're in Norway and the whole cabin vent stopped working on our car, along with A/C and heater. And within the 4-day trip of best Norway has to offer we got temperatures from 2 to 28 degrees Celsius... Otherwise it was okay, you could handle with opening windows and stuff, but when it started to fog up inside we were screwed.
  21. Nah, I like that there are just 6 people in the whole wide world with my first name. And my full name is unique. Something tells me this doesn't help me in Tinder abroad.
  22. Just a simple google search for my first name leads to this forum. For the sake of my future, I won't be using real names.
  23. Guys, remember this (and the following) post(s)? Page 810 (and the following like 10 pages analyzing the one situation)? She left the country back then and anything didn't happen then. Met that girl during the Song Festival about a week ago. She studies in Korea (the "peaceful one") right now. Can't say anything for sure, but something might still come out of it (something already did). She's probably gonna come and visit me in Norway.
  24. Estonian dude replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
Was just on a 4-day trip through the best Norway has to offer. [bleep]ing exhausted.

Actually, she was the head conductor of the whole song festival, so she started crying about how beautiful that spontaneity(?) is and how the song festival truly is a success.
