I don't fully agree with my leader that there is no reason to flame... VR blatently broke the rule of 15 snipers maximum and several members were meleeing in hides with 1 rune item and not even dropping 25k on death. Was fun to prove that they really aren't anywhere near as dominant as they think they are though ;).

All our officials use MSN to set up fights as I have officials from all the top 10 clans or so added. Feels like I have half the clan world added when I look at my list sometimes lol.

Yeah rivalries make fights a lot more fun and exciting. All the preperations before the fight; the speeches from leaders and the atmosphere on teamspeak. You look forward to the fight for a week, you fight tooth and nail for hours, then you spend the next week arguing over who the real winner was. Every part of it is fun as hell for the people involved and it's why I think flaming and rivalries (so long as they don't cross into rl flaming, hacking, etc.) are healthy for the clan world and actually make people enjoy it more.

The fight was fun? If you don't want to do it feel free not to but I don't see why you care about what we do with our saturday evenings lol. Time spent enjoying yourself is not time wasted :roll:.

Will you play Mechscape? Really highly doubt it. If it's great, would you quit Runescape to play Mechscape? No. Do you think it will affect the clan you are currently in? Really hard to say without it having come out yet but probably not. If most of your members quit your clan to start playing Mechscape what would you do? Quit runescape+retire from the clan world.

Yeah it's shown pretty well by the kill:death ratios of corr members vs that of df members. I was sniping (therefore dieing a ton) and still got more kills than deaths. A lot of members were there the whole 15 hours with less than 10 deaths. Corr are very proud of our performance and feel we were the better clan on the day, but at the end of the day Df are the clan that won. I guess both clans are happy lol.

A ton of people who were there there have partners lol, not everybody is in the same timezone as you :P And yeah it's not about skill, but it's not 2004 where people get cleaned on f2p - it's about who'll play longest because nobody on either clan cares about rune sets. I could fight for a week soldily and die every 10 mins without running out of rune and a lot of people in both clans are the same. 31 kills 28 deaths, finally counted them properly :P here are the pics I took of people in df I don't like: Home Boy09 Teh Saxo Gl195 Phar0nix Emanpop Merked05 Emanpop and Maxsje (double kills ^_^ pro sniper lol) Xshinobizx Hell Nova18 Iverson53535 Devin000111 Iverson53535 (again - he was binding a lot :P) Didn't take pics of assists... but there were a lot of them lol. Also did 300+ binds (as in cast them - I often had a few left when I died), which was good considering I was sniping for several hours on ancients.

Lmao @ the topic. I'm hoping your new leader writes less biased posts than lego always has done. The description of the fight here is the biggest crock of [cabbage] you could try and write about it lol. Here's how it really went: Both sides start with huge opts, enough to ko anybody they pile. The lag from the huge amounts of people (making most targets invisible) rather prohibits easy transitions so both sides kill at about the same rate. After about an hour the invisibility is largely gone so corr are able to transition. Whenever we'd clash with DF we'd kill 3 or 4 DF members before you killed one corr member, and we'd be slicing up your pile and make you a lot easier to tank than us. Still with the number advantage, after about 4 hours corr were able to almost entirely stop DF binding with only their 10 snipers, and everybody df piled could drag for miles. That carried on for about 5 hours, until Corr started losing the number advantage. On even opts, corr were still very much in control with df having to regroup at west tree, new gate and eventually down at lava gap for over an hour until they could muster more than 100 opts and start piling again. Corr then had a slight problem when a lot of GMTers left at about the 12th hour point, and we then had to have about 3 different regroups over an hour before we were up to 150 opts again and were getting strong KOs. We managed to get together a lot faster than df did, despite df blatently sending more than the 10 snipers allowed within the rules. The last 2 hours of the fight were then even, right to the very last minute, with both sides having about equal amounts of successes and problems in their pile. However, with both sides having enough to ko targets after 15 hours, our officials decided that this would go on for at least another 5 hours, if not even more, and that we should just let DF have the win that they'd clearly do anything to get. Personally I was there from 9pm to midday, getting about 30 kills and 30 deaths over the 15 hours. Was being part of the snipe unit for 4 hours in the middle. I did enjoy the fight tremendously, both its highs and lows - but the topic about this by Legolas is utter bull.

I agree with gamerr that no clan with power can get that power without a sense of community. My opinion is obviously biased but I definitely feel that Corruption has the best, tight knight community in the clan world. We obviously take warring very seriously but really that's just one aspect of our clan. At any time 24/7/365 you can find 20-50 people talking on Teamspeak, and more than that on our private IRC. Our forums are also very active, and we do have a fun event once a week on rs to blow off steam and just be silly with each other as friends rather than having to be serious. Without our outstanding community I doubt we'd be as good at pking as we are. We can pull off amazing feats like being the first clan to pull 100 people to pvp and keep them for over 12 hours, or end with over 80 people after a record-breaking 15 hours, and it's the incredible sense of comeraderie and bonding with our clanmates that spurs us on. We don't fight for ourselves, we fight for corruption - for our friends.

Only clans that really accept fights with us are DF, TT and VR. RSD, RDC and EH sometimes accept weekdays fights in cwa or miniwars though which can be good for variation. But no, I don't think it's boring - every fight is different, and the big rivalries we have fueling us make them even more exciting.

1. TT - still very strong turnouts and excellent organisation 2. Corruption - pulled 340 opts and kept 60 person piles for 15 hours, with incredible organisation to boot. 3. Divine forces - very hard to beat simply because of your amazing desire for wins leading to seemingly endless returning. However, I think performances like today are only because of lego's retirement and you won't repeat them. Without the sniper rule Corruption would have won, and much sooner. 4. Vr - numbers and nothing more.

Was a very fun fight to be a part of. Didn't tank great because TT just had so many that almost everybody was getting koed at the start but stepped it up near the end. Pked a corrupt dragon med helm but my platebody protected over it when I died so lost 700k there :P Good fight TT, always a pleasure to fight you :)

No' date=' you are so wrong, i can't even stress it. For gwd, the "best update for combat" so far gave magic a steam staff; while melee got new armour, and weapons; ranged too got weapons and armour. And, melee and ranged can both hit well over 90, while mage can only hit somewhere around 40, and that's in castlewars with a cw brace on. So, unless jagex gets their head out of their bums, and actually upgrades somehting that NEEDS to be upgraded, you are greatly mistaken. Sorry for the criticalness. :wall:[/quote'] yea melee is overpowered eveyone knows... and mage can hit a 56 in pvp by stacking blitz and barrage while freezing your opponet for 20 seconds and lowering their stats blah blah blah and veng is one of the most efficiant ko tools for a pker :wall: range has a d bow that can't hit worth [cabbage] on anyone with decent armour -.- 99 range can beat flat 99 melees if you know what you're doing. Just gotta combine dragon bolts and dark bow spec cleverly.

Rune Raiders Corr vs DF, uncapped pvp, max of 10 snipers (yeah... your prediction for this saturday :lol: )

We use IPB v2.1.7. I am positively in love with this version, because it offers some of the cleanest board designs I've seen. When I look at IPBFree, Invisionfree, etc...they all too "busy" or unclean. To be fair, unless you write your own skins, Invisionfree doesn't offer a lot in customizing options. IPB is a paid-for service. I'm unsure of the price, because our members are nice enough to donate towards the cost of our hosting server + software. Other than that, I'm a fan of phpBB and vBulletin too... But IPB is what my clan currently uses. Just wondering, what clan are you in? You're welcome for the crash - personally I got 2 kills and 0 deaths from vr officials. Make fun of members who have died and expect it a lot more often. Grats on your win but untill you can win fights without cape switching and using welfare gear for your 50 snipers you won't be #1 in my eyes. Btw I lol'd at your last pic - Matty Range is in Gladiatorz, and you still chased him all the way to clan wars? Must've really wanted his rune to suplement your hides ;).

The f2p section was pretty uneventful, but p2p was fun hitting up both mage bank and multi. Didn't die, here are my 3 kills: First time p2ping since I joined corr and I really enjoyed it. 1m profit is always nice :lol: Shame about the 1 itemers but I guess that's now a part of p2p fights :thumbdown:
