I really think people posting these complaints should maybe READ other posts and realize you're just saying the same thing. This is the 5th post I've seen bashing Jagex for this horrible, horrible thing they've done. Like get over it, it's a Beta. Aka, it's a test, things aren't going to revert, but they will get better. This version has been out for like 9 hours, have some patience. Or maybe if you think you could do a better job, you should spend your energy thinking about that, instead of flaming about how ugly your pixel looks. EDIT: The fact that you've been a member here for two days is really showing.

Try updating your graphics card. It helped with my lag. Also try being patient, the lag isn't permanent. Rs is full of new bugs and glitches right now, and it's slowing things down. I'm sure Jagex is working hard to sort things out, just give it some time.

Speaking of. I was fishing earlier, and someone got a Dr Jekyl random, and his hands weren't connected to his arms, rather flying around him while his arms stretched out like spaghetti. Kinda neat. And yeah as for people complaining.. the "rioters" I've seen saying they want "old runescape" back, when I asked, hadn't even tried low-detail, and were also complaining about no pk'ing.. I can't really complain about anything except the lag, which is just a part of this "test-version" of Rs. Just trying to be patient, and ignoring those people that have flamed me for liking the new update so far. (EDIT: The "dance" emote is amazing.)

They don't seem childish to me, and I'm sure we still have some new changes to see when the Beta stage is over.

If you've found someone you really enjoy sharing the game with, I don't see a problem with it. I see handfulls of people showing affection to each other in game, in a mature and decent way. And by that I mean through conversation.. Not like, emoting or anything.. But, none of my business, why should I care. The only thing that bothers me is seeing kids chasing after female pixels saying things like, "PLzZ PLz BE MA GF I LYK U" ..etc. Gotta wonder why they're so desperate. :D

Shortbows > Longbows (for speed) Longbows > Shortbows (for distance) Crossbows > Shortbows (for damage) And Dbow for the spec.. only. It's the only thing I use it for, then switch back to a crossbow once the spec is done. Still not sure how much I even like Dbows, I've always hated them, borrowed one today in exchange for whip. Despite how sweet it looks, I still have some pretty terrible specs with 86 range. Not sure it's worth it.

The only thing I see as lame is flared trousers and a gnome scarf. I totally hate the flared emote. EDIT: Or Dlegs and Verac Brassard. Or 90% of the people in W100 Varrock. What you wear should also be useful to a certain extent in combat imo. I'm usually in d'hide with a bow or c'bow, looks clean and still useful if i get attacked by a random that I'm not paying attention to..

If it makes you feel better I sold one for 350k a few days before their value skyrocketed :thumbdown:

My first try I went at 75 range, 45 def, 45 pray Made it to Jad, lagged and lost connection. Goodfight. Tried twice after, but was so mad i couldn't focus. Planning to try again at 80def, 60 pray. My hp has gone up quite a bit too, which should help :shock:

On my first account I didn't realize what the Homeport spell was until I was around cb30 tbh.

I wouldn't say pest control is like using chins... more like using a cannon, except mega-slow. (EDIT: I've only used it for full void, but if I was to go back it'd be for hp or prayer only.)

I always thought private chat was exactly as the name suggests, "Private". Guess I thought wrong ... ?

But there is still RWT and probably always will be in some form. As much as i agree with you and see it as unfair, i don't see why Jagex doesn't embrace it as their own, rather than eliminate Pk, staking, free trade, etc..

If you look at Runescape's competition, the majority of them allow RWT and tbh I think Rs could make alot of money from it. Why would people spend hours and hours working on something when they could spend $20 and have it. Jagex would profit. They say they are trying to keep things fair, by eliminating RWT and virtually every other aspect of free will we had to share and give items between ourselves. But for what? There is still macroing, and there are still websites that have ways to RWT, it's just more difficult. What are they going to do next, eliminate trading all together? They've already put limits on the Grand Exchange, which started a few months back, and the limits of certain items have kept decreasing. Runescape is getting less and less player controlled as Jagex finds more and more ways to limit item trading. The only problem I have with RWT is how obsessed Jagex has become with trying to stop it.

Tbh I don't care about male characters in skirts, why not save a few bucks. I see alot more female characters getting flamed for "not really being a girl" or "real girls dont play Rs" or "you must be a fat ugly girl to play this game" than males getting flamed for wearing skirts.. Which is the real sexist issue, imo.

It's pretty much inevitable to not get called a "noob" in PvP combat. Especially funny when you get called it as your attacker dies at your feet.. Think it's best to just hold your tounge and not play into it. :thumbup:

Lol'd at the "Shovel full of drugs" comment, and yeah I've been muted a few times, and I don't even bother with an explaination trying to defend myself anymore, I also get instant DENIED responses from Jagex. Worst of all, I've seen screenshots from a couple friends of them flaming Jagex in their appeals.. and they managed to get their mute lifted. :thumbdown:

Well yeah, private drop parties were obviously alot better.. but I don't see them changing things back to the way they were. Totally up for a 'no familiar' party room.

Summoning is crud imo. Makes no difference to me whether it's P2P or not.

The first time I got scammed was a trade in the wild, i walk out, hit the trade screen, guy's friend logs in beside me.. K0.

I like the term "Lag" during PvP combat. Like when I beat someone 20cb's higher and they yell out "LAAAAAAAG". :shame:
