  1. Ahh, I was hoping Dallas would pull off the win....
  2. Well like real life, it's innocent until proven guilty. We never take any action against anyone unless we have the evidence here. For example, we won't ban anyone for bottom or scamming unless we can see evidence of it here. As for the offenses, we do take into account the amount of time between offenses. Of course, they never completely go away, but generally we try to see if people have changed if a lot of time has elapsed between warnings.
  3. I love the onion: http://www.onionsportsnetwork.com/articles/report-sidney-crosby-dead-of-intracranial-bleeding,19835/
  4. Well, I think we're going to leave it open if anyone has complaints. Feel free to post, we really do want your input...as das said, this should be a forum for the users, by the users.
  5. Yeah I did the multiplication first. Makes sense though.
  6. Looks like that's happening. Will be a series to watch, that's for sure. I think I want the habs to win, so boston's draft pick is higher :D
  7. The reason we move threads is to keep things organized. If we were just to leave threads in whatever forum they originated in for traffic reasons, we might as well just have one huge forum. Generally speaking we do leave a shadow topic in the forum we move from though so any traffic from that forum can be redirected..
  8. Boundary is a great map. Frontier is definitely overused.
  9. The point is that i don't see the point of reporting as there is no way a blob of text can hurt me, but that doesn't mean when i use a similar style that i myself won't get reported. If the system isn't balanced, why have one in the first place?(the majority of moderating can't be based on reports because of this, and there has to be more human interference in the system) Apparently, as it turns out, flaming is a good thing if done against someone who has the balls to take it, but only bad when used against wannabe-mods and softies. That's not true at all. Flaming is bad regardless of who directs it....I agree that people who are personally insulted are more likely to report, but what's the alternative? Often times I will just be reading the forums (not gen) and notice something that's bad flaming, like you said, and take care of it. But these forums are massive, with thousands of posts every day, we can't notice everything. I wish we could, but without your help we can't.
  10. If you see blatant flaming that goes unnoticed, report it. It doesn't have to be directed at you to report it. It's unreasonable to expect us to read every single post in every single thread and judge it. By pointing us in the right direction, you help change the moderating for the better.
  11. You're forgiven in believing that you can compare the stats of any two players and find them to mean anything. And, once again, you missed the POINT. Datsyuk had legendary HALL OF FAME mentors -- including Igor Larionov, Sergei Fedorov and Steve Yzerman. Who the [bleep] is going to mentor Kulemin? Really? Phil Kessel? You're off your nut. So without good mentors, you're destined to fail as a player?
  12. Where did I say I was equating the leafs to the wings? They're nothing alike. I'm equating Kulemin to Datsyuk. If you actually watched leafs games you'd know that Kulemin is the best two way forward they have, and most underrated. Forgive me for showing you stats that don't support your misconceptions.
  13. obfuscator replied to Blyaunte's topic in Off-Topic
Cheating is only acceptable if it doesn't negatively effect anyone else. Cheating in a single player game is fine - in any multiplayer setting, it isn't. Unless of course, everyone agrees its acceptable, in which case it's really not cheating at all.
  14. Ok, good luck with that. Here's a little picture you might find interesting - its of some stats of a player who's "going nowhere".
  15. Tavares is a young kid playing for a young squad. It's only a matter of time before the Islanders start to have better seasons -- provided that their management doesn't screw the pooch again. THAT team is still suffering from the long-term idiocy that was the Di Pietro contract (what were they thinking?!?!?!?) Young player, playing for young team, having bad season? Sounds like Kessel. I didn't know Tyler Sequin and mystery box was the leafs whole future. Oh, you're correct though. Schenn, Aulie, Kadri, Colborne, Gardiner, Kulemin, Grabovski - all going nowhere.
  16. No, it shouldn't have any effect on your internet.
  17. I'd buy the cable. WEP is signficiantly weaker than WPA. That said, it's up to you - it's not likely someone would try to break into your router anyway.
  18. Ok, and Kessel's young. Quite young, still has a lot to learn. What's your excuse for the other players I mentioned?
  19. There are a lot of great players in the league this year with negative +/-. It doesn't automatically make them bad. (as I've already said several times) Eric Staal, Matt Duche, Martin St. Louis, Patrick Marleau, Henrick Zetterberg, John Tavares, Illya Kovalchuk, the list goes on and on.
  20. Uhh, no. That wasn't my point at all. All you're proving is that, like Blyaunte, you haven't read my posts.
  21. No, I've been defending my point fully. Please, point me to something (prior to her last post) that I haven't fully defended. All her posts have been doing is putting words in my mouth.
  22. Well, actually that's what I've been doing. I've already gone over all of Blyaunte's points previously but she seems to think I've said a lot that I haven't.
  23. Ps. Oh really? Stats after 5 seasons: Daigle: 73 goals, 98 assists, -137 Kessel: 127 goals, 117 assists, -24 Now you're stooping to making up facts it seems.
  24. You know what? I'm not even going to bother trying to argue with you. I've been fair and reasonable, and never claimed the majority of the things you're saying I did, but I know you don't care. You have these ideas in your head and no amount of reasonable argument will make you change them, so what's the point? I post on this thread, and I want to talk about the leafs. Want to talk about other teams? Go ahead, no one's stopping you.
  25. This is getting ridiculous. Atlanta was good at the beginning. By January they started to fall off. You realize you basically just described toronto, right? Atlanta has a bunch of young rookies, a bunch of picks, and did pretty well during the middle of the season. Toronto: Rookies: Kadri, Reimer, Aulie. Prospect wise the list is too long to bother writing here. Toronto has the more picks in this upcoming draft then any other team.
