  1. Trade deadline, last season ;) http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=308469
  2. Uhh they got rid of Phaneuf last season, not this.
  3. Projecting full seasons based on their totals give hall 53 points and skinner 62 - and skinner is a plus player as well. Although, that's probably more of a product of their respective teams then anything.. Calgary can't catch any breaks eh? They win tonight but so does Chicago...

Yeah people complained so we stopped it.
  5. I moved your topic to the T&C board as you'll probably get better help here.
  6. Well, I guess we'll see. Personal pick is Skinner. Interesting that neither Hall nor Seguin were ever seriously considered for it as well.
  7. The biggest reason macs are successful is marketing, simple as that. Apple has always excelled at marketing (dating back to the first ipod) and that's what's made their products so popular.
  8. Yeah, dunno how Calder will turn out. Lot of really good rookies this year, but no great ones.
  9. Yeah Pierre McGuire is probably the most annoying sportscaster in hockey. And lol'd at John Tortorella's press conference after the rangers game.
  10. They won't make it, but no, they aren't mathematically eliminated. They're still playing like they have a chance, which makes the games fun to watch at least. Oh, and Kessel ties his career high for points/season tonight. EDIT: Wow, great win. Nazem "niftymittens" Kadri according to Pierre McGuire. AND a_i_g, you must be pleased minn or edm will finally win tonight :P
  11. Well I guess we'll see. Intense game in Boston tonight.
  12. Agreed. It'll help him as well that Carolina may not make the playoffs (although Chicago's not a shoe-in either).
  13. There's more to rookie of the year though then just numbers. Crawford has grabbed the number 1 job on the defending champs in his rookie season, all while posting pretty good numbers...
  14. Lol. It shouldn't be there, and it's empty because you don't have permission to see what it is. I imagine it'll be removed shortly.
  15. Don't think upload speed would affect that much - that should be fine (i'm on less and it's fine for me). I have noticed this software has some odd bottlenecks though.
  16. Can't see goaltending being a problem for ANA now that Hiller is back and Emery is playing as well as he has. I forgot about the Cooke suspension though - that'll really hurt them. He's arguably the best penalty killer in the league. Hiller didn't play today b/c of vertigo, again. Which sucks though because he's a great goalie. Ahh I thought he got over that. That could be a problem for the ducks then. Opinions for rookie of the year? I'm torn between Jeff Skinner and Corey Crawford.
  17. Yeah, there are definitely legitimate uses, like defending yourself/your family. Knowing the way you post, you're probably going to tell me that a handgun, a can of pepper spray or a phone call to 911 would suffice, but from personal experience, that's not always the case. I grew up in a rough part of St. Petersburg and there was a string of really violent home invasions in which victims were raped, maimed, shot at, and even decapitated by a gang of armed criminals. So yeah, there are some non-sketchy scenarios in which a Kalashnikov would come in handy. Because the gang of armed criminals won't have Kalashnikov's as well, right?
  18. I agree, I think the law is silly. But it would be too arbitrary to tell people they could drink to a certain extent, which is why that isn't the case.

  20. Pretty hard to prove that. Actually, it's pretty hard to prove (read: impossible) to prove the marijuana kills people. But if you can do it, by all means go for it. Think about it though, if we assume that even a single person died from it in the past 2 decades, the media would be all over that [cabbage] spouting how bad marijuana is and look at our youth and blah blah blah. Oh, I'm well aware that the immediate medical effects of marijuana use are largely negligible. True, but cases that relate to use should still be considered fatalities cause by marijuana. Just as we consider alcohol to cause a drunk driving death, marijuana should be the same. The problem with "don't argue against something by citing abuse" is that marijuana is by definition taken for its side effects and is therefore being abused. The reason alcohol is legal is because it can be taken and enjoyed without and not for its side effects. But yes, if you're talking about abuse, marijuana is no worse than alcohol (except perhaps the smoke to lungs issue).
  21. Pretty hard to prove that.
  22. Shrug. I don't know why there's so much outrage over this when it's most likely happening all the time anyways. But seriously, does anyone need an ak-47 in the first place?

Makes sense. When I did squats I was doing it right then *relief*. I think I maxed at like 160 lbs though at 175 bodyweight haha
  24. Pathetic. Unfortunately, nothing new.
