  1. I've been on msn for weeks, where are you :(

  2. Anyone not logged in who views your profile will add a view, as will you viewing your own profile. Also, duplicate views in the last ten won't refresh, Ie I can view your profile 100x but it will only show my first in your "last ten".

  3. O.o what brand? My Asus is now 2 years old and the battery still lasts ~3 hours. Brand new it lasted ~3:30. As for OP: have you tried making it run completely out of battery? Sometimes it's all it needs. You don't usually need to keep it out of the laptop though. Same here, I've had this laptop for more than two years, still getting almost 3 hours. Toshiba Satellite Pro.
  4. The posts are saved in a database. Let me give you an overview of how it works. A database is a collection of tables that hold information. The table where posts are stored is called the "posts" table or something similar. We'll look at that. This "posts" table would have a few fields: Probably "poster name" "post date" and "post text". So this post I'm making right now would read something like "y_guy_4_life", "2010/05/20 13:51", "text I've posted". Ordinarily, it is easy enough to tell the database: "give me every entry in the posts table that has "hextriplet" as the "poster name". However, the posts table for this forum has over 4 million entries. It would take a huge amount of time for the server to check the database and return all of that, at the same time having to provide all types of other forum services. This is why the search feature has been limited, and probably doesn't even use a database statement of that type.
  5. I remember first seeing the trailer when I watched grindhouse. It was hilarious, but I'm not so sure about how the movie's going to be.
  6. I have absolutely nothing against an "abortion" to remove an already dead fetus. It's if it's alive that I object.
  7. They don't call it a child or a baby because it isn't a child or a baby. Pro-lifers calling them children and babies are just fear mongering it up to discourage women from aborting because babies are cute and cuddly and fetuses are ugly little parasites.. Oh ok, since a fetus is ugly, it's ok to kill it off.
  8. I'm not really a web design guy, but I like it. Seems pretty well laid out to me, not overly complicated, loads fast, etc. I'd wait for someone like Dsavi to come on :P
  9. Not a reason to kill ourselves faster!
  10. It's not that easy. The number 40 may well be defined so that the the function doesn't slow down the server; search features of all kinds tend to have a high memory footprint especially with a database as large as the one for this forum.
  11. Life isn't University. If you are never born, you don't know what you're missing. You can't feel bad or be at any disadvantage for not being alive because you're not conscious. The foetuses aren't alive, or even dead. They're just a mass of cells until they emerge from the womb as a human being. I think this is what the abortion debate boils down to - is a foetus a life? The scientific definition of life involves reproducing cells with genetic makeup. According the the scientific definition a fetus is alive.
  12. So because you've experienced something, it automatically gives you preferential treatment over others? I've been to college before, does this mean that when I re-apply I should be given precedent over those who have not?
  13. I couldn't be more disgusted hearing that a woman who has been a victim of a terrible crime commits one herself to make things better.
  14. Look in the "the team" link at the bottom of the board :)
  15. Well shows how much I visit your profile that I'm just replying to Kyle's comment now BUT:

All hail grom, co-leader of pkm ;)

  16. Do you want just ubuntu, or a dual boot? I'm assuming you want a dual boot.
  17. It was the right thing to do. It's worse to continue being with her when you don't want to be. Then you're just lying to her about your feelings. Just the way he said it made him seem shallow, the whole "she's hotter thing". But yes, I agree that it is good to be honest at least.
  18. Saw Babies last night which was ok. Iron Man 2 was ridiculous, it's like they took everything ridiculous from the first one and magnified it by 10.

    Today...

Today, I have school, very late unfortunately. I saw Babies yesterday. It was pretty sweet :P
  20. don't be hating. he's an FBI agent AND a vampire (Angel) and besides, its perfectly normal for even straight guys to have some homo feelings. I saw a study on it, I'ma go loook it up. I actually think I'd rather go gay for the guy you posted then that pink haired woman
  21. Although I'm a staunch pro-lifer, I think it's a bit unreasonable to claim that ALL women regret their abortions. Some do, some don't.
  22. I'm sure you can google it, and the overall trend should be fairly obvious. No, it's morally right that a women should have to give birth to an innocent child. If I had my way, it would be mandatory for a man, regardless of circumstance of conception, to pay child support to any woman who had his child. Hair isn't a person, and never will be. A fetus has that potential, and barring any vacuums ripping it apart, probably will be. I'm not a practicing member of any religion.
