Dungeoneering Again
Unfortunately, for real life reasons, I am unable to run any sessions until next friday, perhaps next saturday. If it were possible, I would run sessions, but alas, this is unavoidable. Sorry.

Mather, the entire reason I've been after transporter research is so that we can get stutter teleportation, and that requires level 40.

Is that one of those online ones, or the actual Mensa IQ test? Because online ones tend to not be incredibly accurate, in either direction. Then again, intelligence can't really be graded by an arbitrary score when you get right down to it.

What. Oh yay, that means the Labrynthus and all my research data is gone. <_<

Each time you get to 100 xp, you gain a level. It's fairly simple. Yeah, there will be a session in 20 minutes or so.

It was cheaper and our resources were very much tied up at that point. It is actually very cost effective, so I would rather you did your research before insulting my designs. And I never said I didn't consider it useful, I only said that the initial resource input is too large to be viable at this time. Plus, it makes such an easy target that it'd be stupid for the enemy NOT to hit it first. PS. Wrong day. Dungeoneering is on Fridays. Although I think there is a Space session on sunday instead of saturday this week.

Faust, I would like to, but the biocontrol bay is about 200kT cheaper in total than a life support/bridge/crew quarters combo. That's an extra ship for every 2.5 or so we create, which is a fairly large amount. If you can find a solution which allows us to conserve efficiency, I would be very glad, but this is the solution I came up with. Of course, in bigger ships, we'll probably just use regular control anyway. In fact, if we made the Piranhas a single man escort class ship and then worked on larger designs with regular bridges seperately, it'd probably be a lot more cost efficient.

Okay, I'll give you that one, I actually laughed.

What would the interest be?
Not to mention that Retech only wants puzzle based research because he is the best at puzzles... I honestly think that focus should be shifted to something other than research. Tactical warfare, for instance. Thus far, hegemony has basically just been arrows on maps with a sort of "Do this, then this, then kind mosey on over here and take this" notation. All strategy, no tactics, basically.

The Back Room
Hmm... sounds like something I might ask on my next trip to Admissions to ask why something isn't right. And as for drawing, I want to draw and I like doing it, but other stuff always shows up. "Hey, I think I'll work on drawing. After I finish this homework." *finishes homework* "Hmm, I don't think there was anything else I was gonna do... H&H TIEM" So I usually end up doing most of my drawing during Physics class, which is when the only other option is to sit there bored out of my skull. (We're just now touching on vectors, and this class is supposed to be university-level and it started in late January. <_< ) I tend to only draw when I actually have inspiration... Which is fairly rare, admittedly, but unless I actually have an image of something in my mind, whatever I attempt inevitably turns to crap. If I do have something in my mind though, everything else takes a back seat until it is finished, regardless of whether or not it is terrible. Also, Vectors have far too much maths involved for me to like. I prefer quantum phenomena and particles.

If you don't record it, then you have zero. Sorry, but that's the policy. Since you're new to dungeoneering, I'll let you retain a level of each one, though. You MUST record and note your xp down whenever you are awarded it, or it will just count as your character forgetting how to do things.

Yes, but your theory applies to a purely fictional entity, so you don't make the rules. It doesn't matter if X doesn't work in real life or if Y should do Z or whatever. What the GM says, goes.

I can be immune to pain by shutting down the pain receptors with the neural uplink. It wont do me any good though, because then I'd have no way of knowing if my legs were intact without looking down every 5 seconds. PS. You are trying to debate something which does not exist in real life with the creator of the game which features it.

Answers point to yes. Although we'll need to accumulate resources for another few sessions. A) Repairs for the Asgard. It looks like rapture now more than it did a few sessions ago. B) More ships. C) Training.

Clearly, everyone in the system is a gigantic ass, so we'll remain independant and increase our defensive ability. Also, yeah, I do sessions on wednesday now. No worries though.

Dungeoneering Again
It isn't really Dungeoneering at that point anyway, so I figure, you have two choices: A) You wait and see what happens and then do some minor editing while keeping the overall plot basically identical. B)You decide to use the setting, but wildly alter the story so that it fits with your style of writing and thinking (Basically you don't use actual plot, you just take elements of it and rearrange them until it's unrecognizable). Thus far, you appear to be going with option B, so for the sake of consistancy I would recommend continuing, or it may end up changing tone halfway through (The world in your story seems to be a lot less grim than my interpretation, and if that changed halfway through it would seem strange) and ruining it. Then again, you're the one writing it, so it's your call, I'm just offering advice.

Surprisingly enough, Nero actually does make sense. Commonwealth is crumbling, Alliance policy is oppressive and terrible, and Britain is being absorbed by the alliance. TFed doesn't seem that bad an option, suddenly.

No, I mean We already use fusion generators, and they already produce energy through nuclear fusion. Creating something to do the exact same thing would be pointless. Not only that, but using heat would be less efficient for creating mass than using light, even if we did have the capability to do that.

So we are agreed, science is for twits, pseudophysics is cool.
