Zombie Plans-Revised
What about noise? I've never heard of a silenced shotgun.

(Mather just wants warp gates so he can go "WEEEEE SGC!", I reckon.) I'd prefer 6 systems, and a normal ftl method.

That was a rapier/fencing sword. They have incredibly thin blades, and you wouldn't really be able to through the skull with a slash. Theme music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCx0N-_5wrQ

Zombie Plans-Revised
Well, think of it like this. The parasite needs a working human brain to infect. If you stab yourself in the head with a trench spike, I can guarantee that your brain will no longer be in working condition. Therefore, the same should apply to an already infected human brain. Trench spikes are also designed to puncture steel helmets, then be removed again with ease. Realistically, you never want to get close to the zombie, but sometimes ammo wouild just be too precious, and if it's one or two zombies, it should be a piece of cake to dispatch anyway.

Hegemony Argument Thread
Okay, I do have some thoughts, though I'm worried it may become too complex. Since just having tier Y module and tier Z module is kind of boring, they could have other effects against certain other things. For example, somebody is using a basic missile module, so you create an anti-missile laser module, which is crap at defending against anything but missiles. I'm still opposed to the 3 system notion, since it means that the game goes bang and is over in a flash. I believe a better number would be 7-10, with 2-3 habitable planets and then 2-3 other planets in.

Hoping Retech can do it, since I've got some stuff to do right now. And my computer keeps crashing.

HI I'M MATHER AND NORWAY IS AWESOME AND THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD BECAUSE WE INVENTED A BUNCH OF STUFF. Ahem. I'm going to reiterate my previous statement about land value. Nobody payed attention to it at all except like once, when Retech had a few hundered billion people on a planet (For the record, so did I, but nobody ever cared) Why should we make the game more compact and start caring now?

Hegemony Argument Thread
I'd rather play in a more spread out game, but whatever. It's not like we ever payed attention to how many people we could cram into a 10x10 metre square. Aside from that one time when Retech had like a trillion people (Don't remember the exact number) and they all died. Seriously, we never took building space into acount before, why limit the game to start doing it now?

Yeah, aliens did that too.

Aliens gave them to us. Just like they gave the pyramids to the egyptians.

If only we could simulate an entire country running on a polutucal policy. I doubt you could fit so much stupidity onto a computer though.

Mather, you keep saying you had good intentions and wondering why people invade you. Because you allied yourself with somebody's enemy... Of course they're going to try to take out the supporting force.

Or races could just be there for the lulz and not have any real impact on the game, like I suggested. Some advanced modules could have an equipment requirement, meaning that you need some equipment (Which requires people and resources to build in itself) to create the module, but it is better than usual modules.
-
Hegemony Argument Thread
I don't think races should affect gameplay in any particular way, they should just be there for the luls.

Manifest Destiny
Fun fun. I'll give you the plans for my next step later. Also, did I manage to infect any of the dragons?

Yeah Dungeon, that's pretty much perfect (To me, at least.)

Hey Rocco, I think the tech tree is supposed to be a starting point for you to discuss and create your stuff with the moderators.

NO SCATHE. SCATHE BAD. ME DIVIDE SCATHE BY ZERO. They're kind of based off of The Flood from Halo. Heh.

Dusty, we get it. You hate Archi for something he did in the original hegemony which you have exaggurated to the point of stupidity.
-
Hegemony Argument Thread
Yeah, that's what I meant. Also, you need to make sure that the mod(s) are the only ones allowed to create the module shapes, or people will just make the simplest shapes possible.

I'd like for their to be some variety to the hostile alien attacks, not just one race, but aside from that, I'd be fine. Also, the tech tree will allow customisation, right?

Look, it really isn't a big deal. We know you have these things, so just because they aren't written down doesn't really mean they suddenly don't exist,

I'd say no. If you're going to control NPC invaders, you shouldn't play as well.

I added them before I started. Also, some clarification. I do remove items which will never see any use. You only miss them because they aren't there anymore, and if you hadn't known about them not being there, you'd have continued on perfectly happy.

Gah, I thought Retech was adding that stuff so I didn't pay attention to it. Damnit Retech, add this stuff as you go, don't just leave it for me to do...
