Aether is officially dropping out of the war in the Sol system. It's a petty little rock, and I have bigger fish to fry anyway.

Well, I'll need it for a few years, so a yearly supply for the next 6 years.

By "warp" I meant instantanious travel, and there was a majority vote against allowing it a while back when Mather first started trying to make stargates. Anyways, thanks for explaining about naquadah, and as long as you can assure me that it is in no way overpowered, then whatever. I made up a metal too, so I guess it's good. I'd also like to buy one bar of naquadah., for some research I have planned. Speaking of which, I started researching warfare nanotechnology a few days ago (I announced it in PM). I also finished reverse engineering and upgrading Mather's atomic dissassembly machine quite a while back (25 years ago or something  ), so that will likely see some use.

We agreed that we wouldn't be using any warp technology, sorry. And for the life of me I still cannot understand how Naquadah creates more energy? Wouldn't that technically be game breaking? Could I just make it run in a continous loop, continually creating more energy? Also, they weren't floating ARC cannons, they were either point defense cannons or Prometheus tanks (Just so nobody moans at me). I'm losing interest in Earth.

Well, the civilian models would have some combat equipment, but it's mostly just construction purpose stuff. Actually, Archi does bring up a very good point. If almost all of my stuff is done by machines anyway, then having a huge population is sort of stupid. I guess I'll drop my growth rate to 1%, which will allow me to produce more surface defenses and normal soldiers. Just thought of something: Income. It stays at 10%. I think I'll still work on some surface based weaponry though. EDIT: (Late response, but oh well) Well, Retech, I think your ships would just be a regular battleship, and as it stands, it takes 10 Battleships to equal one heavy battleship, so the 20 ship escort still wont really help you all that much.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Erm, Retech, with your basic ship building tech and resources, how did you manage to build 20 warships in like 2-3 years? Ah well, it doesn't matter anyway. I think I still have around 7 Heavy Battleships in Sol, so I'll still try to shoot at your stuff. Sending troops on a suicide mission doesn't sound like a good tactic to me.

But if we don't pause the game, people get an oppurtunity to dig themselves in and prepare, which is even less realistic.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Well, it would mean people would have time to prepare their stuff, and it just wouldn't really work. I think its better that we leave it paused entirely. I though Germanian reproduction rates were lowered since it was getting sort of crazy? If not, I guess it means I can use a growth rate which would be more logical considering all that's needed to create my citizens is a computer program and a machine to build bodies. So, more like 30%. Yeah. Also, Mather, if your Goaulds are like the millionaires of your race and you create more of them, isn't that technically hurting the economy instead of helping it?

In your dreams. Assuming your people are able to dream, that is.

Nah, the ships around your planet were pulled off. I think destroying a ton of your troops and carriers was enough warning that bad things will happen to you if you go to war with us. (I'm still going to fire on you if you try to enter Sol, for the record. And I don't think you have any combat based ships at the moment, so it'll really be a massacre, and a waste of troops and ships if you try to get more troops to Earth) Yes, I do have more Ares cannons. The research cost a lot of money, but that doesn't mean I can't produce them like I would a normal ship. And yes, they do cost a hell of a lot to fire, but they deal a hell of a lot of damage in return. For the record, I've also been building for a while. You destroyed about half my fleet, and that's a pretty big loss, but I did more damage to your side than you did to me, really. Besides, now that production of Rhadamanthus ships has been culled, I can start producing more Cataclysm, Hyperion and [New UHB ship name here]. As well as [New static defense name here]. Also, Doom, aren't we obliged to say how large our forces are, to prevent people from materializing troops and things out of nowhere? If we are, then I'll say mine, but otherwise, it'd be stupid to say it now.

~ The Arena ~
((Why in the hell would it matter if it hasn't come out yet? It's still based on it, and it still provides you (The one who knows every single thing there is to know about stargate) with advantages compared to everyone else (Whose stargate knowledge is at best, lacking, and at worst, non existant) ))

I have a few more. It's a pretty fun plaything, so I had replacements built. Still, I'll need to get back to building a fleet <_<

~ The Arena ~
((Okay, I think that changing the Arena to something which suits you perfectly and puts everyone else at a disadvantage is a little overpowered.))

Mather, be quiet. This game failed before Archi turned up. Uuh, Retech, when did you research energy weapons? And how does your station block the shrapnel from its own weapon? Production of Rhadamanthus battleships has ceased, and all current Rhadamanthus class ships will be scrapped and turned into Cataclysm ships. I think that's around 5 Cataclysm ships from the Rhadamanthus ships I have remaining (Going from the point order and rounding up). The capacity which is freed up by this will be devoted to producing more Cataclysm ships, and another new ship (UHB) will be designed shortly. The Helios orb design is going to be used in a new static defense platform, which I will explain in a while.

I doubt they're the same efficiency and power. I've currently spent near 25 trillion in total on my ARC cannon research, discounting the cost of the Ares cannon, which was about 15 trillion by itself. Dusty, the ARC cannons don't fire simultaniously, the cameras check which direction enemy ships are in, correct themselves with small jets and then fire in that direction. And I'm heading out now. Night all.

HELIOS ORBS DO NOT HAVE ANY FRIENDLY FIRE ISSUES. My computers are the most advanced in the world. My people can "See" the world even though they do not have eyes. I have defensive railguns which can target a moving missile and destroy it before it even gets close to the hull. Please explain to me why the hell I would create a defense system which shoots at any ship in the area? They still have cameras, and they still identify my ships. My ships were designed with the intention to negate missiles and bombs which are targeting them. They are designed this way because I always knew I would end up fighting you, and I knew that you specialised in that sort of thing. Yes, Germanian ships will do damage, but it wont be much at all compared to what the Bulgarian ships will do.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
I didn't know that the Braziliian fleet or the Bulgarian fleet were there. Also, the Helios orbs are a capable offensive weapon. My ships were designed specifically to be extremely hard to hit with missiles, and I don't think any of your ships use energy weapons (If they do, we may have to recalculate. It's up to Archi though) Either way, both of us will be taking a large loss now.

Well, point being that it's destructive. Really, really destructive.

This is a huge amount of light we're talking here. If I fire the thing at the Earth, cities are going to turn to gas.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
As far as I'm aware light doesn't burn up in the atmosphere.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Wait your troops are dead? When did this happen? Ah well, I suppose I can still use it on ships.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Well, now that you've said that I suppose I should just fire the Ares cannon before you have a chance to do that, correct?
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
Wha? It fires a laser... It can fire Regular or Planet Killer pulses. I shan't be using the Planet Killer pulses on Earth, of course, but I wont hesitate to fire the regular shots, which could likely vaporise a city and most of the surrounding countryside. Sure, it destroys itself after a while, but it should be fun while it lasts. I repeat, halt the invasion of Japan or I will vaporise you.
-
Hegemony-V2 begins page 302
It doesn't take a long time to load, and I don't remember ever saying that. It fires a laser, which is light, which basically travels instantly. You forget, I'm not from Earth, and I'm mechanical. I'm not going to allow unarmed troop transports past because of some petty moral issue. Bleh, 4 more shipyards are finished, changing the schedule to 20 shipyards over the next 16 years, 5 under construction at once, completed in four years, four cycles of that, 20 shipyards. I'm still increasing my ship production capabilites.
