could you PM it to me its just a blown up, blurrier version of the front page one?! are you going to use a grid less map for filling in land ownage? otherwise borders are going to look stupid, like civilization ones but worse. and good luck filling in coastal squares. Note how all the town maps are square. Each one of these maps represents a tile on that map. That is how all battlefield maps are set out. Pray tell, how would I make borders without it looking exactly the same as that?

Ares threw yet another barrage of kunai at Hex, before the broadsword cut deep into his shoulder blade. Blood sprayed across the room, and Ares fell onto one knee. "Guess...I guess I'm..bested then" he muttered, the pain obviously affecting his co-ordination. Slowly, he dragged himself back to his feet, and reached into the bloodsoaked remains of his trenchcoat. He retreived another smoke bomb, and he shouted "Disappear" upon throwing it to the floor. Suddenly, there were hundereds of kunai flying in every direction, all coming from the spot where Ares was, but now only a trenchcoat and a mask slowly drifting to the floor remained. ((I think being immune to damage is a bit overpowered, by the way. Also, its "Cloud" not clod))

That's irrational, we aren't using some messed up map. We're using the map that would be simplest to use.

What we have now is fine. You just havn't seen the latest map, since I only just gave it to Sere. Really, using the true Earth map is kind of irrational now.

Thats not the true map. I just finished making the real map, and its a whole lot easier to read. The reason we're using Pangea is because all the land is joined, we wont have any player seperation, or epicly huge boat journeys.

"It would appear, my friend, that you spent far too long aiming that gun of yours" "Ares" fell to the floor, with a thud. Except it wasn't the kind of thud that a human makes. It was a block of wood, dressed with Ares mask and a spare trenchcoat. "That shockwave was never meant to do any damage, it was merely a diversion" Ares said, as he threw two Kunai into Hex's shoulder blades.

"This light penetrates even the thickest of fog." Shouted Ares as his sword began to glow again. He thrust the sword into the ground, releasing a shockwave of energy in every direction around him.

Nonono. Each terrain has its own stats. For example, the "Grass" on that map would actually be "Plains" However, if a terrain has not bee created yet (Eg, desert) then you can make the stats for it and those stats will be used from now on. Rpg is correct, farmland is implied. A garrisonable building is meant to mean that the building must be destroyed before the unit can be touched, you can't put more than one unit in each building. Argh, I'll sort the rules out concerning terrain after I'm done with this grid.

Ares had begun collecting his Kunai from around the room and storing them back into his coat. He slowly began to talk "I don't intend to hold anything back, why should you?"

Okay, I think we're going to need a monetary system, which I will work out as soon as I'm done making a grid out of this map. Towns and walls will cost a certain amount to create, as will units etc.

Except science hasn't really been created. As far as we're concerned, fire is a mythical entity from the gods. Sure, you can use explosives, but they'll be quite unreliable.

((None of the shots hit my heart, two of them hit my lung, the rest hit the direct centre of my chest)) Ares thought to himself "That should be enough time". By now, the Odachi embedded in the ceiling had absorbed most of the light in the arena. Hex did not understand that Ares' eyes could pierce all the darkness, and he could only now truly see him clearly. He leapt for the Odachi, removing it from the ceiling. The energy absorbed into the blade could now be harnessed, and he did so without hesitation. A blade of pure energy shot from the edge of the sword, accelerating to speeds which cannot be seen to the human eye, and aimed directly at Hex.

((I have minor regeneration, besides, my character has incredible endurance and resistance to pain.)) Taking out a secondary katana, Ares rebounded off of the ceiling again, spinning in circles, blade in hand, and darted at Hex from above. The Odachi in the ceiling continues to absorb light, plunging more and more of the arena into darkness.

Ares cursed. He had spent years learning to supress pain above everything else, but no amount of training will ever stop 12 pistol rounds to the chest from hurting. He gripped his Odachi, he was still able to stand, so he was still able to fight, he thought. His sword's glow became brighter, and as it did, all light left the room. There was nothing except darkness. Ares' sword had absorbed all the light from the area. He threw it and it stuck into the ceiling, since if he used it, it would give his actions away. He resorted to his Kunai again, jumping from wall to wall launching dozens of Kunai at Hex from all angles. Ares began to laugh, but it was no ordinary laugh, it was the laugh of a man who did not care whether survived , all he wanted to do was fight.

Here's a grid, if anybody wants it. It's not the same size as the one I used above, because I seem to have deleted that for some reason.

All three bullets connected...but...Ares didn't move. The smoke cleared, and the bullets had blown a large block of wood to bits. The second Hex fired his gun, Ares had used his ninjitsu to create a wooden replacement. He then used Hex's confusion to his advantage, jumping and rebounding off of the ceiling, launching a barrage of 13 knives down towards Hex in the pattern of a pentagram. Ares landed on the floor again. He noted an explosion happening at some other point in the arena, and was suddenly hit by multiple metal shards to his left arm. He began removing them one by one with yet another of his Kunai.

((What happened to the knives that were flying at you and the Odachi that was aimed at your spine?)) Caught off guard, three bullets skimmed Ares' arm, one bullet his him in the leg. He hit the ground, and used one of his knives to remove the bullet, before using a bandage to wrap it, all in about 25 seconds. He threw the knife he used to remove the bullet at Hex.

I think we're assuming hometowns are already built, really. Also, I'm going to remove the hide tags from that, since apparently the forum shrinks it automatically. I havn't added any units to that map yet, either.

Just for the record, I've already mapped out my home town, so you can take this as an example and create your own, if you wish. Don't go stupid with it though.

Ares placed his other hand on his Odachi, and decided he was going to join the fight that was occuring in front of him. He lunged towards Hex, his sword aimed at the square of his back, knives thrown to either side of his target. He laughed to himself, knowing that whichever way Hex moved, he was going to get cut by something.

I'm going to be making the map into a 20*20 grid or something, but I'll do it later. Rpg, if Sere already has your information, he'll add it later anyways.

Ares, deciding that this was a good oppurtunity for him to make his move, threw yet another smoke bomb, disappeared, reappearing a few minutes later brandishing a large Odachi, with a blade that glowed a faint blue colour. All light seemed to drain from the world around the Arena, and it appeared that it was already midnight, yet it was only 2:00 PM. Balancing the blade on his shoulder, he began to walk towards the cloud of billowing smoke.

Noting that Timothy had trapped himself in a time bubble, Ares calmed back down and took out a small sewing kit, he then sat down on top of a pillar and began to repair his coat while watching the fight.
