Hegemony: A New World
I'm going to establish four colonies, leaving me with a treasury of zero. Pink means colony, just in case anyone is a little slow :P A frigate and a sloop are stationed at the mainland colonies, just to be secure. I guess the sloop also carries people to the mainland.

Because it is very graphic intensive. Grim, desgnate a [g]arbage dump, then [d]--[d] all the stone.

Hegemony: A New World
Righto. So, what happens with the blacked out areas? Can we claim them as per normal, or does it cost a little less due to existing infrastructure, or can we just not claim them at all?

Hegemony: A New World
I'll do that too. The benefit outweighs the risk. I get 80% as well, right? Or is that from bonuses or something?

1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX465 Graphics, Trol. Pity DF can't do multithreading, it would increase performance immensly. I tend to give it it's own core right now, it increases performance, sure, but it pretty much devours that core. 100% usage all the time while DF is running, even on a fairly high end one. I also find it amusing how an Ascii game can maim even top of the range computers which can run Crysis on max settings.

My new one has the same. 3.06 Ghz, 1.5TB Hard disk, 8GB RAM at 1600Mhz too. Well, it will when it actually arrives. 10-14 working days my ass. Still, if what you say is true, I look forward to constant 120 fps forts.

We're all entitled to our opinions, and I think it's a load of nonsensical twaddle.

I still fail to see how one can believe in precongnition and consider themselves a scientist. As far as I'm concerned, it's all crazy coincidence given meaning by an overactive imagination.

Hegemony: A New World
Doesn't that mean that only 1 of Dusty's colonies get the bonus? Or does the island count?

Hegemony: A New World
Oh cool, thanks.

Hegemony: A New World
Can't help but notice my colonies were left out...

The Back Room
Pah, supernatural mumbo jumbo. I can't believe in any of it.

Hegemony: A New World
Ooh, I'd like to train 5 generals, taking my treasury down to 100k.
-
Hegemony: A New World
Oh blimey I forgot to subtract my discount from the boats. I have 600k left in the old treasury.

The Back Room
Oh man. Still, can't be worse than Dwarf Fortress. I think I can hear my processor screaming in pain whenever I generate a new world.

Hegemony: A New World
Excellent. Retech was really good with that stuff. I'll go work on it now.

Hegemony: A New World
I'll go with the lime (Not sure which one. Soft, I assume?) green island place. EDIT: Jamaica. I think. Also, Materialism sounds good. What is your stance on oddball tech? I have a small stack of ideas, and since gunpowder is involved, most of them can be modified slightly. If you'd like examples to see if it's acceptable, just pm me about it. For my starting action, I'll colonise the two other regions connected to the landmass I'm on, then I'll build two frigates and two sloops, because I feel like turtling on this island. That leaves my budget at zero. Wheee.

Underworld
"I really don't care who comes to harm by my hand, as long as harm is caused. I would advise you to leave me alone." Iapetos clutches the executioner sword with one hand, and grabs it's chain with the other. He then jumps and flies onto a nearby tree.

Ye olde high fantasy Hegemony
Just so we're clear, magic is a substitute for technology in this, correct? So really, aside from realism (Ha!), there is little difference from a regular hegemony. Also, shouldn't that map include terrain? I'd like a mountainous region, being dwarves and all. Of course, I wouldn't ask that you add terrain to every region, just a seperate map with that sort of thing, perhaps?

The Back Room
Probably a good idea to go over the rivers in blue just so they're clearer. Doesn't matter much though.

The Back Room
Is there going to be a multiple resource system, or is it going to be condensed into just gold?

Magepunk. Heh. I like magepunk. Although I think there should be a more interesting NPC element to it, and a smaller scale. So that a raid from the local fauna (just an example) is actually a fairly large threat, and must be planned for.

Underworld
Iapetos drops from the cliff, and flaps its wings to prevent any fall damage, before trying to get slightly closer to look at the fire.

Underworld
Go to a village and get it fixed. Bad rolls are bad rolls, there's no need to ask for a restart over it.
