Delta V
Right, I'll go look for a new one I guess...

Delta V
Sigh. When I asked about it, there was no response saying it had been taken. You could have at least dropped the slightest hint.

Planet Vika in the Gamma Quadrans system. Unless you'd like me to edit that in, which is also fine.

*Realise that I've just put a bunch of coloured boxes in psuedo-randomly and then used the box tool to work out how many house and job pixels there are* Heh? [spoiler=Spaceport development] 270 house pixels, 285 job pixels. [spoiler=Standard development] 1200 job pixels 1500 house pixels Am I doing this right? Somehow, I doubt it.

Righto. So, just blocks of colour which represent different things. Is it judged on a rough basis, or will I have to do an exact pixel count?
-
Delta V
Seems easy enough. Could I make most of them exactly the same, though? I'd like to standardise everything I can (As I imagine a logic-based computer would)

Delta V
Ah, well, guess I should go do the developments now then. How do I go about that again? 100x100 pixels, something something?

The Back Room
Huh. That must have been a fair amount of dust...

Hegemony: 1970
Wait, wont this just mean that Delta V will be pushed back further?

I do like me some giant mecha.

2025
I can't play aside from fridays, saturdays, and perhaps thursdays if it starts fairly early. I assume the same applies to Icu.

The Back Room
You mean the idiots who "fix" their cars up so that I get woken up every night by some guy with a 150 decibel engine? I hate those people so much. I have no idea how many hours of sleep I have lost because of the guy who does that around my neighborhood.

The Back Room
I think it does. Cars which run on petrol are one of the major sources of pollution, which may, in the future, may cause thousands more people to die than car accidents would kill in several hundered years. Noise pollution is a serious problem, as is chemical pollution.

Mather, an electric car would require a fairly decent power supply to run at the speeds people will want it to run at, and osmotic power isn't developed enough to produce the amount which would be needed on that small a scale. Unless I'm mistaken, the one in Norway only generates 4kW, and something like 1 watt per meter squared of membrane. I don't know how much power an electric car requires to get up to and maintain a speed of say, 50mph, but I don't think you can fit enough membrane in to accomplish it with any feasibility. Edit: Just checked, it's 1 watt per 2 meters squared of membrane. They say that this figure could easily be doubled, but I still doubt it would be enough.

Glass is half empty. Tree still makes a sound. You succeeded in your objective, therefore, it is a success.

The thing would be enormous though. It would be better off being powered by electricity and then generating the electricity elsewhere using saline/nuclear/whatever. Also Icon, nuclear power doesn't use fans. I believe you are thinking of turbines.

Archi, it's okay to put the picture of my ship on there, I just didn't really want the specs to be known. PS. Is the planet Vika in the Gamma Quadrans system taken? It seems to be a good planet for my race. low temperature means electricity flows more efficiently IIRC, high gravity is neat, and there are 7500 or so resources.

Dwarf fortress
I like phoebus. Makes everything easy to understand, while retaining the style of DF.

I suggested Saline power  Aka osmotic power.

Dwarf fortress
Aquatic Mermaid farms, hell cannon that shoots demons, adamantine spire which reaches into space, etc. The sheer number of possibilies is absurd. Dwarf Fortress is a genre in and of itself. The closest it comes is an RTS, but that doesn't really apply because it sort of transcends the entire concept of an rts. Not only that, but they have added a mere fraction of the total planned features, and it still has so much depth you could (And most will) drown in it. The release date for the completed version is 2025. This, H&H (If you're into that kind of thing) and minecraft are the three indie games which deserve a lot more credit than they get, in all honesty. And to perhaps coax anybody who dares to read this topic into playing DF, I point you towards Boatmurdered Also, a recent event in my game. The red tiles are coated in blood. Most of those skulls represent chopped off limbs, and the red background letters are dead things. The red 7s are magma, because magma moats are cool. Dwarf Fortress is the only game I've seen which calculates internal lung damage from a hammer blow and may cause you to choke on your own blood a few minutes later. It also calculates when something will die of blood loss, and how much damage a weapon will do based on about 20 different stats (Density, impact area, fracture strength, tensile strength, shear strength, elasticity, size of weapon, velocity, and like 10 others) If anybody reads this, I dearly hope you at least try the game, because it really is amazing.

The Back Room
Sequel to bronzemurdered :P The guy who did bronzemurdered was actually hired by a magezine to make that one because his first one was so good. It's pretty cool. Also, master crossbowman and swordmaster tag team combo: They ended up clocking around 25 kills each, no injuries to either of them (Well, one of them took an arrow to the stomach, but it was just a bruise, and it healed so quickly that it barely counts) There is blood everywhere(That is a chalk bridge... It was white when I started), and the entire entrance hall is cloaked in constant miasma.

Tavern IRC Channel
Fairly apathetic on the matter, to be honest. I don't really use IRC as it is, so it doesn't impact me in any big way whether it is created or not. Although more advertisment would be nice, it isn't like we're starved for company.
