Okay Mather, have fun while I send in ships to blow up that tower, plunging your forces into chaos. I'll be over here ignoring your tech due to lack of being any threat

    Fine Dungeon, I'll be quiet.

Yupyup. Mather, remember, it may be based on Stargate tech, but it is not stargate tech. Archi decides how strong your shields are, and how much pressure it can withstand, and how well it can cloak itself. I'm pretty sure that tower is a big glaring weak point saying "HIT ME". It's like a boss from a game, desplaying it's weak point for all to see. And dungeon, I'm telling him this because I don't want it to be easy. Theres no fun without challenge, and that thing looks like it would be easy for near anyone to take out with a little thinking on their part.

Right, so giant, expensive ships which will hit you incredibly hard if one is destroyed, if not economically cripple you. Have you ever heard of the phrase "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" Mather? Also, that tower at the centre, y'know, the one which controls pretty much everything else on the ship... It seems like an easy target if you ask me. As they say, cut off the head and the body soon dies. Unless we're talking about cockroaches. They can live without a head.

Sure doesn't look like wood to me. I'm calling his credibility into question.

But my trade depot is in the planets core. Too bad dungeon, you'll have to trek all the way down there to shower us with bins full of bloody rope reed fiber cloth.

Hope the prissy elves don't limit my treefelling to 100 until the next year.

I hear that. Not that I've actually finished my tech list yet...

Thanks for moving this, Wisp. And to anybody just taking a look, I thought this would be better suited here now that it has died down in the tavern, so yeah. Any other Dwarf Fortress players on Tipit?

What can I say. I'm predictable.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'll reveal most of it, but there are certain elements I want kept secret for the time being.

Hey Archi, I have my ship design, but could I possibly give you the specs and then just show a picture here? I'm doing my 500 years of research right now, and I'd like to keep some of the features a secret until they need to be revealed.
  13. How the hell did Giygas not beat a star wars character? There is no hope.
  14. Seraphi replied to archimage_a's topic in Falador Tavern
How about we let Archi handle the balancing. As he has said multiple times, he wants us to make it overpowered, because lets be honest here, we're all playing to win, as well as having fun. I trust him not to have any bias, and as stated, if your race dies you start again somewhere else. Not really a big deal.

Boy, I should really get to work on this. Been a little caught up in everything as of late. What do you need from me? Tech list, sprites, ships, development (How do I do these? Cut a 100x100 box into smaller squares and fill them with the colours from that image?) and what else?

Enigma backs away, and then follows the road from afar until he is a sufficient distance away from the gate to not be seen. He then follows alongside the road to find a possible UN base.

Ares sits out of sight for a while and waits to see how the guards act, if they're paranoid and will shoot at any stranger, or if they will question first.
  18. Yeah, Icon, I didn't see the alternate signature, so I thought you were pretending to have been me all along. It's cool.
  19. Ah, that explains a lot. I was a little confused there for a second.
  20. Seraphi replied to paul191600's topic in Falador Tavern
Engima walks along side the wall until he finds something that looks like a gate. If he doesn't find one, he climbs a tree and tries to jump to the top.
  21. I'm confused. Masquerading as me without permission isn't really appreciated, even if it was a harmless joke, but I'll let it slide. I'd rather you didn't do it again though, thanks. I will agree that getting humans to co-exist peacefully in a zombie situation would be difficult. There will always be anomolous elements in any large group of people, somebody who goes mad from the moans of the baying hoards, takes the nearest weapon, and then attacks his peers, for instance. An event like that could snowball into a situation where nobody trusts anyone and chaos is rife. Or, to present a further example, two people come up with a plan, and the group is sundered. Bitterness is created between the two sides, which eventually breaks out into arguments, then fighting. Granted, it may not always happen, but when considering something as complex as the human mind into ones plans, it's very easy to mess it up and end up little more than a castle full of paranoid lunatics, where your nearest threat is not the living dead, but your fellow man. Don't get me wrong, one of the most important elements of survival is the human one, but don't go under the assumption that everyone will get along in a panic situation.

Engima checks what the wall is made of, and any sign of a reason for it being here. He then begins walking along it.

Oh cool. Enigma wakes up from a coma and looks around himself.
  24. I was watching a show the other day called Man VS Food, and the guy who presents it was doing a challenge to eat 6 of the spiciest chicken wings in the world, and halfway through the show I suddenly blurted out "Lord of the wings", and burst into hysterical laughter. I certainly have my odd moments
  25. Uh oh. Creationism vs. Evolution debate. I'm just going to go ahead and try to stay silent here.
