They were powerful enough to take out half the base in a single firing. I'm thinking that's pretty strong.

I have discovered the weakness of the Chrysalid scum. Flight suits. Chrysalids can only infect by direct contact, so if I huddle my power armoured troops in the carrier while a few flight suit equipped troops go as high as possible and shoot them from above, they're easy to clean up first. Although razing cities is fun, so I'm still going to take rocket launchers and incendiary rockets. Except now I can use them from the air.

Hm. Admiral Dusty did show interest in new weaponry. Also, I return Chi's datapad.

Oh god what. I shot an alien ship down, and I was moving my squad in for cleanup. These guys were not rookies, I had screened them extensively, costing me several hundered thousand dollars, to get the best of the best. This was a small UFO. It likely had around 5 aliens, which is easy to clear up. The squad was equipped with 9 laser rifles, 3 laser pistols, motion scanners (We were fighting at night) and a single rocket launcher with incendiary rounds. One of the troops, a sargeant named Wolfgang Gunger spots an alien. He only had the time to get off a single shot, which missed fairly badly. Another troop moved in, took three shots, each one missed. Aiming at night is difficult. Then, a genius with a rocket launcher comes along. He takes aim at the alien. He pretty much couldn't miss, because he only needed to hit *Near* the alien due to the nature of incendiary rounds. So he takes a deep breath, steadies his position by kneeling, and then... shoots catastrophically badly, and the rocket lands 3 feet in front of him and explodes in a hellish firestorm. He killed himself and 4 other people, and everyone else couldn't see [cabbage] because of the constant sheet of smoke which was now coating the entire landing zone.

Twas fun. Are you preparing more puzzles, Archi? Those last three were too difficult.

Yep, "Too Awesome To Use". The bane of many a game.

10AM? Man, it's been a while since I was up that early. Still, might do me some good.

Hey, what time is the session tommorow? 7AM, or 7PM? I'm hoping 7PM, though I may be making this up completely.

On an XCOM note, Chrysalids are officially the worst enemy the video game industry has ever created. Ever. They run up to my squads, convert them into zombies and completely ignore anything I throw at them. Then the zombies spawn MORE CHRYSALIDS BECAUSE I COULDN'T KILL THE ZOMBIES FAST ENOUGH AND THE REST OF MY TROOPS GET TURNED INTO CHRYSALIDS AASFAFDASFSAFSFD. NOT TO MENTION THEY APPEAR IN TERROR MISSIONS WHERE YOU HAVE TO DEFEND CIVILIANS. AKA, CHRYSALID FODDER. Seriously, every citizen is not a rescuee, but a potential chrysalid. The only solution is complete sterilisation of the area with heavy ordinance. Civilians be damned.

Quartermaster? You're good with figures, right?

Retech, that Ripper beam sounds very interesting. We could do with a reverse engineering of that. Well, I could finish that scanner and then document the assembly for later use. I'm a little worried about using it in turrets, because it would kill the ship due to it's massive power. Would make a good handheld weapon for military use though.

Shard Cannon. They're good for indoor combat, and they pierce armour. Very good for turrets and side arms for the non military personnel.

I think it should stay with Nex for now.

I doubt you'll be allowed to install it, though.

Mather, I know showing off your knowledge is fun, but I don't think Archi expects people to be able to code, and thus, it wont do much. As far as I know.

Righto. Here's hoping my router doesn't start playing up again.

I think AI management would come under the control of the captain and the engineering department. Not science.

Please explain what you would do if we had instead orbited a Britannian colony, half our cargo had gone missing, and I'd suddenly gained a lot of wealth? Any sane person would come to the same conclusion, and although I feel further investigation is necessary, you are still the prime suspect.

I fixed it now, but thanks anyway.

Doesn't really help, but I appreciate the effort  I'll just stare at it for another half an hour. It'll come to me eventually. It did with the other three parts.

Don't suppose anybody here knows any VB, do they? I could use a hand with this. [hide] Private Sub numChooser_ValueChanged(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles numChooser.ValueChanged ' Code goes here to change the value of numValue variable above End Sub Private Sub btnNumber_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnNumber.Click MsgBox(numValue) End Sub[/hide] I basically need to make the box display a number which is displayed on a number chooser, but I don't entirely understand how I would go about obtaining the number from said chooser. I know I'll need to use numValue = [something], but I don't know what that something is. Any help?

What do you mean by Cargo Bay? I was asking for the position unofficially, which I believe has been granted.

Too much stuff can go wrong with bioweapons, but that's just my view. I can deal with the defense network.
