I'm not issuing an order here. I'm asking you not to sell the tech if we don't have an upgraded version of it.
-

If you sell to one person, the design will inevitably become widespread, meaning we may well see our own weaponry being used against us. I only have the good of the ship and it's crew in mind. If we are to be actively engaging in combat, we want as many advantages as possible, and technological is one such advantage.

Icu, nothing good will come of selling something equal to what we have. If you develop a better version and sell the old version, we gain a technological advantage against any would-be enemies.
-
Space
Basically Icu, I'm asking you to a) allow us to use anything you make, for the good of the ship, and b) Stay one step ahead of anybody we sell tech to. So don't sell anything until we have a better version of it.

Okay, to address all this copyright stuff - Icu, you can't copyright shotguns, and you can't copyright anti proton tech. We had anti proton beams before we started, so I assume it's already been created and is in use on Earth. Scopes can't really be copyrighted unless there is some revolutionary design involved, which, given that it is level 1, there is not. I'm not sure about specifics, but I think the above two also apply to the sniper. You cannot copyright a knife, and you cannot copyright a red hot knife either. Retech, sure, why not. I guess it'll give us an advantage to any hostiles we encounter. Mather, also, sure, why not. If it's good enough for mass production, and we are able to stay ahead technologically, then extra funding would be cool.

No. Just no. Funnyjunk is /b/ tier. We do not want those people.

I'll make my decision to trust you, Nex. Just don't betray that trust again.

I'm not sure trusting the swiss is a good idea. They seem to have a real "evil organisation" vibe going on.

If there was a failsafe, the captain should have had it from the start. We did not go "Kill the sabatuer", I told you not to move and aimed turrets at you. If you had complied instead of running away, it all would have been smoothed out without you having to fly to neptune or wherever you went. Worst possible punishment? You would have had to spend a while in the cargo bay listening to Earth talk about drones. Besides, the situation was more or less under control. I was about to fire weapons to take out the energy buildup, but then I got the message that the ship had suddenly swerved out of range. If Nero had known, he would have told me that was about to happen and I'd have known what was happening, instead of panicking, and destroying the base completely (Along with our cargo). Basically, you aren't a villain, but you are very, very far from being a hero.

Nex, you understand why I'm going to have trouble trusting you, right? Don't take offense, and try not to be distracted if there is a turret trained on your head, alright? It's nothing personal, but I'm not ruling out the possibility that you're just coming back aboard to retrieve something you left without before, or finish something.

Well, you have a marked disadvantage, since all our efforts go towards the ship, wheras you only have one man doing everything.
-

Dohoho. One man research base. Also, does anybody else suspect the swiss? I mean, the AI is good, but I have the odd feeling that all it's doing is gathering intel to further their plans.

I prefer anagrams and word morphs, really.

I'm going to give Apocalypse a try. I read some reviews, and apparently it got easier, which is sad, because being hard as nails is what makes xcom fun, but there are supposed to be a lot more features and things to do. So I'll try it, but I'm not going to be shocked if I feel the need to fire it into the sun.

What time is the session tommorow?

The Back Room
XCom. It's a fun little turn based strategy from the days of DOS.

Nex, well intentioned extremism is still extremism. You betrayed our trust, and you ended up in that mess. And a searing blade to the eye would probably hurt.

Hey, if Gavrill and Nero put in another 100k, we can upgrade the ship to add another bay. If we shopped around, we could probably get another 80k off, so 220k for the upgrade.

The only way I would let you back on is if you wore some kind of device which allowed me to kill you at any moment if I think you're trying to pull one over on us again. Said device woud also not be connected to the AI.

You put on a good show, indeed, but you came out worse off overall. Plus, you made enemies of your allies.

I'll learn ship maintainance and design. I don't intend to actively take part in combat, though orbital bombardment is not entirely out of the question.

Selling weapons to the TFed is like selling shiny things to magpies :-D

They're better than what we had before quadruplefold, and I believe it was said that some of the best tech in the word went into the ship.
