Why would I build an army? I would simply kill people one by one, bury their corpses, and then, when I believe I have a sufficient number of corpses in the ground, raise them all at once and stamp out any opposition in one fell swoop. That, or I would locate a tunnel underneath the city, acquire a property with a link to the tunnel, and then establish a necropolis directly underneath the city. Only an ameteur would leave their army in an abandoned house or basement

Sure, Hex. I was just thinking about how it would be a little annoying if people had to train a skill specifically to counter one person, or risk losing pretty much everything, so there should be some kind of trackable increase in resistance to psionic attack. Either way works, but I think my way would be easier to keep track of. PS. Earth, why does necromancer not get the full 5 points again? Not questioning it, just curious.

One problem I could see with that puppetmaster is that at a higher level, it'd be difficult for any player to have any resistance at all to it, thus giving Hex access to any skill which an existing player has, and a massive advantage in combat ("I order him to walk into my axe.") I propose a formula like skill total/2 to work out resistance, but it's up for debate. For example. Player A has 10 Puppetry Player B has 3 Fire, 2 water, 1 Earth. Player A tries to mind control player B. He rolls a 17, plus 10 from skill, so 27. Player B rolls a 13, plus 3 from total skills, so 16. Player A has control over Player B for however long Earth decides.

I guess it really depends on the balance. If it's something which would give you a distinct advantage, then the points would be reduced, but if you're going for versatility, they'd be increased. That said, it's up to Earth.

Well, if you really want to know, yeah, I don't like CAD at all. I basically don't think it's funny. Tim Buckley uses stale, played out jokes, a very cliche character selection (Competant best friend, absent minded main character who will invariably be a self insert character based on the author. Or what the author *wishes* he was like, and then we have the girl. That is literally the only defining quality, that she is a girl), far too many words (If you need to have 100+ words to explain the joke you're trying to get across, you are bad at comedy) and has made some horrible decisions with what he would call a "Storyline". The abortion thing being a prime example. It was not funny. It was fairly insulting to the subject material, actually. He makes a comedy webcomic, suddenly producing a comic about abortion was, and still is, a terrible idea. The fact that he tries to defend it just makes it worse. "I can put whatever I want in MY comic" pretty much sums it up. If you enjoy it, by all means, continue reading it, but, and this is just my opinion, I think CAD is one of the worst webcomics out there.

Where is the funny? Oh wait, it's CAD.

I thought the point of a combat medic was to get to whoever is injured quickly and administer treatment? I mean, at that speed, they would have died of old age by the time you get to them to fix that broken toe.

You do realise that 1 meter per second is ridiculously slow, right? And your mobility will drop to more or less nil... Meaning you can't dodge anything. Not good qualities for a combat medic, right?

Eh, facial scar, eyepatch, same thing, really.

Well, that was fun. Now I need a cybernetic hand and an eyepatch. And apparently I'm the captain of a GoP ship. Yeah, I'm not sure either.

Probably best not to get them involved. Remember, these guys are big on honour. We should use that to our advantage.

Our mining, apparently. We still keep the cargo.

They did say something. You didn't notice it. And now they are pissed.
-

You contacted them and then forgot about it apparently. And they're REALLY touchy about honour. Thus, duel to the death to preserve honour.

JEN. GODDAMNIT. YOU HAD TO IGNORE THE GUARDIANS OF PEACE, DIDN'T YOU. NOW I HAVE TO DUEL TO THE DEATH.

Name: Sileo Mortis (Wheeee cliche) Race: Demilich I guess. If we're going by the previous version, being a full lich would be OP, but as it is, demilich is pretty much a skeleton which can think. Class: Necromancer (Wheeee cliche) Skills: 2 necromancy 2 Polearms Equipment: Black platerobe, grey cloak, bone halberd. (Do I even need to say it?)

Yeah, it looks like a matter of forum inactivity, rather than game opinion.

Just as I start cooking. I'll be there when I'm done eating, anyway. Give me half an hour or so. Is anybody else on right now?
-
IRC dungeoneering.
Eh. Why not. Not doing something I want because it's hard to train sounds kinda pointless. Also, not spearman. Polearms. Halberds, naginatae, pikes and the like.

Necromancer. I also want 2 points in [Edit] polearms. Let's see how this works out.
