Yeaaahhh... That could be a problem. I'm sure it can be worked out though.

By the way Nero, if you do indeed decide to stay in Sol, you also need to override the farewell message. It's on a delay, so you should have time to do it.

And so begins a new chapter, as the ISS Unity heads forward and begins it's journey across the galaxy.

The Back Room
Cool bro. The Core is coming soon.

Anything which doesn't involve maths. Cryptos, word morphs, anagrams, etc, as long as I don't have to do anything with numbers.

Three of those are the same. All five tend to walk hand in hand. I think part of the reason Americans are all regarded as backwards and stupid is that the backwards and stupid minority is VERY vocal.

Having all puzzles boost everyones research is a bad idea, it lowers the value of research and puts stress on individuals. Leaving puzzles unrestricted is also a bad idea, it allows certain individuals to take their technology to the moon and back while we're piddling around in a field. Just because you're good at puzzles doesn't mean you should be able to control the game by having technology more advanced than everyone else put together.

Retech, it only harms you because you were the only one able to get such a massive advantage out of it. This system stops you from getting to level 200 whatever while the rest of us sit at level 10, and you become completely invincible due to having shields which could survive the big bang. Take it as a compliment, and don't be so greedy with puzzles/tech. You were too good at the puzzles, so the system had to be restricted so that you didn't have complete control of the game. Pretty much everyone else struggled with them, while you blasted them all out of the way and left none for anyone else.

I'm not usually one for alchohol... Won't pass up a glass of white wine though.

Ah, I thought you were talking about Jen's one which Archi posted on the last page. Also, Retech, don't you think that is a tad on the greedy side? The rest of us barely have 100k and you want to keep 400k on hand at all times? Also, I think Archi is fairly justified in reducing the rate at which people can do research. Because you're great at puzzles, he had to make it all more difficult, which made us fairly helpless, and you still solved most of them. Carrying on at that rate would have been fairly absurd, since it was clear you had a massive advantage.

Okay, if I recall correctly, you said that it costs 1000 merit for level one, and 500 for every level hereafter, right Archi? If that is the case, I'd like to exchange 2500 merit for level 4 weapons engineering. PS. Mather, I'm pretty sure that is a squid of some kind.
-
Space
Thanks Archi. That brings me to 15k credits, 2520 merit. How much does level 1 weapons engineering cost? You said 1000, right?
-
Space
Did you calculate the merit or credit rewards in the end? Not to sound impatient, but I haven't had a single credit to my name yet, and I'm not too great at puzzles, so I planned to make up for it by doing well in missions and levelling up that way instead.

I dunno, hammer does not immediately shout "Sneaky" to me. This is why I said the sword may have it's uses, but otherwise, medieval weaponry in a scifi environment =! good idea.
-
Space
Earth, melee weapons are going to suck unless you use stealth, since everyone else uses ranged weapons. So I guess the sword may have it's uses, but the hammer is beyond redundant, since there is absolutely no chance it will ever get to the point of attacking.

Thanks for the session Archi, was really fun, as usual.

Science bay can double as a hazmat lab. Aside from that, I put exactly the same list in the post above yours.

There was some mention of a botany lab at some point, but I forgot who said it. I think construction materials are more important than chemical meterials right now, though, soooo... As I see it, bay priorities are going to be Shields Stealth Refinery Botany whatever (I guess this would include hydroponics?) drone bay Right?

Don't worry, any which are damaged will be repaired or reimbursed. And quantum reactor, you say? Archi, how long would it take to install that?
-
Space
I gave permission for it to be built.

Earth, the drones ar helpful for building things, so I would request that we all be allowed to use them free of charge. Also, you aren't the ships only technician, you know, so theres no need to be so protective over them. None of them are going to get damaged... Too badly.
-
Space
Easy solution, upgrade the VISOR. Or, even easier, give each drone their tasks in batches of 5.
-
Space
Shields and stealth, yes, but I think drones numbering under 100 can be controlled using a VISOR, assuming that the controller has a reasonable amount of willpower and their mind wont get broken from seeing 20 different perspectives at once.

Actually, that isn't completely true. We may have fabricators, but we still need raw materials to use them. For example, there is currently a lack of the raw materials required to fabricate the EDGE Suit. A refinery would also allow us access to any strange materials we find on our travels. It would also mean massively reduced costs for fabrication, since we make the raw materials ourselves.
