  1. Sorry, just pitching in to address these two points in particular. People have told you time and time again why you may not be the most likeable person in the world. In fact, when you did the /archi thing up there, you made it abundantly clear that you have been listening, so why not try and do something about it? And opinions are wonderful things, aren't they. We don't come into your clubhouse and then demand to be accomodated, so if everyone is perfectly fine with a system which you happen to dislike, don't start yelling at people to fix things which, in their eyes, are not broken in the first place. The fact that you would call a game (which somebody probably put a lot of time and effort into) [cabbage] in the first place goes a long way into explaining why people don't respond well to your "arguments", however valid they may be. Also, I tend to see it differently. When you rejoined as Edelweiss, people were okay with you because something was different. We almost guessed from the start that you were Hex, but we ignored it because we thought it'd finally clicked that you can be a little aggrevating at times, so you legitimately tried to change your ways. Clearly we were wrong, because a few weeks down the line, and all those wonderful qualities reared their ugly heads like a bile spitting hydra. You are casting yourself as the wronged innocent once again, and shutting your eyes to the faults. I've seen you do the same thing countless times before, and I'm sure you'll do it many times again in the future. I suppose that's only natural, and I'm sure I've done it before as well, but all I'm asking you to do is look at things from a different perspective for a while. I know it's hard to change. I used to be a bit of an ass pushing my own beliefs and opinions on everyone around me, but I saw that it was doing me no favours and tried to be more accepting of those around me. I think it helped, I feel a lot more calm most of the time than I used to. If this were me two years ago I'd probably have joined this argument four pages earlier and resorted to making all caps lock posts by now. Basically, what it comes down to is this: If I actually saw you taking on board things people said, I would probably respect you a whole lot more. I try not to hold a grudge against anyone, I really do, but I find it very difficult with you, and for that I can only apologise.

    What?
  3. Space is today, this is tommorow.

My internet threw a hissy fit, Dusty kept disconnecting, and everyone else had atrocious lag issues, so that idea sort of went out the window. It's a shame, really.

Indeed, although why they would be making a portal device when transportation has been invented... It's probably just a high tech weapon, like our graviton hellbores or ion cannons.
  6. Huzzah, I got my mods to work again! I have no idea how I did it, but it's fixed. Thank heavens for that, I'd much rather play with the biome mod on. EDIT: Or not. It works, but it crashes fairly quickly.
  7. Yeah, a lot of clients do that. I remember back when I used to go on another chat, one of the ways you could really annoy people was to say their name more than once, because it made their computer beep and flash.
  8. No, you don't ask if you can kill people and eat their brains like some creepy serial killer in the making.
  9. Iconic, I need time to keep my grades up. If you can't understand the importance of keeping priorities straight, then I really feel sorry for you. Real life is always going to be more important than a game on here. And yes, moderating a popular game is very tiring, especially when you have players (who will remain anonymous) suggesting bizarrely stupid (Not haha stupid, just plain dumb) things and trying to take advantage of game mechanics constantly.
  10. I'm with Retech on this one. Saying the tavern's dead is a self fulfilling prophecy. And Rocco, space doesn't really generate pages because it's played through IRC. I think it would probably match dungeoneering, but IRC is a better format anyway.
  11. Anything more will cut into my schoolwork, so three days it is. And yeah, then I remembered that space was on saturdays, so I changed it to Friday, Sunday, and then either monday or tuesday, depending on which day space is on.
  12. Hex, no.
  13. No, don't be stupid.
  14. No, Hex. If you want to wall jump or something, you just ask to jump off the wall, or create a disease, etc. Mather, I was thinking the gnomes would have magitek.
  15. With all due respect Hex, you don't really know me as a GM, so you have no idea what I'll do to change up the setting. Standard fantasy is just the base. I mean, you're just asking to change it to standard medieval, which is just as boring.
  16. Nah, no time period because it isn't set on earth.
  17. It isn't set in any period. Standard fantasy setting. Elves are hippies, dwarves live in mountains and have cool architecture, humans are average, etc. Magic has just been discovered, though, so there aren't any stupidly powerful archmages yet.
  18. Oh yeah, scheduling conflicts. Hmmm.... I suppose Wednesday is okay, but It'll only run till 1:00AM GMT maximum. Aside from that, Friday and Sunday. Is everyone okay with this?
  19. Errr... sure, psionics, I suppose... But the killing is optional in that case. Also, can you not make up lore? Magic isn't in everyone, it's just ambient, omnipresent energy which is bent to people's wills.
  20. No. God no. Why would you even think that? As to your questions, Grim, I suppose wild magic will work, but it will have less of a gap between failure and success, meaning it will generally hideously fail, or succeed, no "It goes poof and nothing happens".
  21. The meanings are up, and Iconic is still 5 points above the limit.
  22. It should be fairly obvious, but I'll update the first post with them.
  23. For the record, 4 is the stat for an average, middle class person. Willpower is your ability to concentrate and use magic.
  24. Dexterity and athelticism and such. No session today, because stuff is still being worked out. I made the thread so we can talk about how you, as the player, would like the game to be run.
  25. Thread is up. Also, Iconic, you aren't really one to talk about passive agressiveness.
