Humans - The Glass Cannons?
Without the goal of expansion, we might as well just lay down and stop doing anything. Nobody wants to be completely static, and to move forward, things must be sacrificed. These things could be everyday luxuries, or the well being of an entire planet, even our home planet. Our greatest flaw is also our largest advantage, and that is, for lack of a better word and at the risk of perhaps upsetting some people, our greed. Greed is what drives us to take and give nothing back, to push forwards and leave those who will not follow in the dust. In short, it is greed which makes us survive. It may be responsible for many horrible things in the world, but I don't believe greed itself is inherently an evil trait. After all, without it, we probably wouldn't be the dominant species in the first place. With that said, I personally believe that humanity will persist no matter what happens to Earth. Humankind will survive, even if it has to kick and scream and beg to do so. Every mistake will be learned from, even if it isn't by much, and every failure taken on board, and we will keep on trying until we get it right.

Minecraft General
So I found a way to fix my constant load errors. If I delete everything *except* the minecraft.jar file, it seems to work just fine. Kind of odd, but it works, so I wont question it.

By my caclulations, we should have gained aroundabout 1000kT resources during the session, and with the intersession stuff, it'll be about 1300kT. Faust, we can work on your machine after Obsidian. Since we currently have no major obligations eating up our resources (Although the station could do with some extra bays, I suppose. Living quarters, secure experimentation facility, etc), we have some stuff free to spend on personal projects.

About an hour and a half ago

Hence, 90% of my characters are wearing very long sleeves, gauntlets, robes, or anything else which hides hands and legs. I should probably look at more tutorials. There's only so far one can go learning from experience, I find.

I say we just help fund the resistance and the commonwealth for now. Since Russia's infrastructure has gone to hell, it's more a matter of patience. The resistance eats them from within, Commonwealth destroys them from outside.

Mather, I do believe that weapon of yours needs more testing first. We should head to an isolated part of the solar system with a shuttle mounted version to test it. And Mather, we are already allied with the Swiss, more or less. I don't see why we should get Norway involved, since they don't appear to be doing much at all for either side, and are likely trying to remain neutral. And yes, I do believe the commonwealth would be a far better choice for us to support than Russia.

Suffice to say, any chance of us allying with Russia is now down the drain. PS. Gavrill shall be put under stricter watch. Theros, having shown little loyalty to Russia, will not be subject to this.

The Russian scum must burn for this! Attacking evacuees? Disgraceful!

Firebox has a flying car for £325,000.

I'd like to say that this was unexpected, but honestly? That would be a lie.

Dungeoneering Again
That was just last week, when I was still working out the schedule. If Space is now on a monday, it's easier to do this now since I have a half day tommorow, which means I need less energy to get through the day, which means I'm okay staying up till 1:30 AM or so.

Dungeoneering Again
Alchemy, transmogrification and warp, would be the first things in my mind. Anyway, channel is up, #Dungeons4.

Magnetism is allomancy, yes. Trying to apply real life physics wont work here, I've told you that.
-
Dungeoneering Again
I think that would fall under fire magic, electricity, sound, or force. Any of them would work really.

Dungeoneering Again
I've warned you about physics, Mather. Best I can do is recreate the effects using other stuff.

I like Minecraft. I recently installed the biome mod, which is pretty damn awesome. I then found a massive desert and built a temple to the sun god decorated with glowstone harvested from the Nether. Iconic, this is literally a thread for offtopic discussion. You may not want people to talk about things you don't like, but you cannot stop them.

If there's nothing malacious in the software, it sounds like it must be a hardware issue to me.

Have you checked the motherboard? Sounds like the same problem I had where the stuff they used to stop the heat from the processor reaching a point which will cause it to shut down to protect itself. In this case, it might not be loose enough to make it happen instantly, but the extra processor speed needed to play games may cause it to go over the llimit. Basically, it means your computer think's it's about to die, so shuts itself down and then goes "Oh dw my bad" when you turn it back on. This would also explains the sideways thing in that it may be loose enough that it slides back into place when tilted.

The Back Room
Yeah. I was really tempted to arrange a game just so I could use that as my BBEG. Skelnet undead AI.

The Back Room
/tg/ is good... That's the only board I frequent though, so I suppose I wouldn't know. They did have a pretty awesome thread about an undead computer (Literally a world spanning computer with skeletons in place of bits/bytes) a couple days ago.

Nex, I called dibs on Obsidian first, but again, low priority. And please, I implore you, do not declare my designs wasteful. I am simply trying to improve efficiency aboard this vessel. Ps. Theros, it isn't a peg leg. More of a raptor leg, except made of metal. Talons and all. It's pretty much superior to a regular leg in every way.

I'd actually like to see those. I'm a bit of an artsy person myself, despite being apocalyptically bad at it. Do you feel comfortable posting these sketches of yours? I understand if you don't, because I never am.

Do you have the biome mod? It should be fairly easy to find snow if you set the temperature and moisture settings low and high respectively.
