Has anyone else noticed the similarities between this... The new High Alchemy animation, and this... The iconic duel between Gandalf and the Balrog? Im talking about the part on the bridge... in Moria... In The Fellowship of the Ring... Where Gandalf shouts "You shall not pass!", and smashes his staff down onto the bridge. What other easter eggs can we find in RS HD, I wonder?

The MGS: Essential Collection for the PS2 was released a few months ago. It's $30 and has MGS 1, 2 and 3. Thanks for the suggestion but that wa sonly released in North America and Japan, and I have a PAL PS2/PS3 so I cant play them... so im left to be ripped off on ebay.

even if you're main incentive for buying a ps3 is the blu ray player, you will be suckered into buying games simply because it can play games ps3 is an entertainment center with music, movies, chats, internet but it is a gaming system before any of those. if they have a ps3, they will surely buy games for it even if it wasn't the reason why they bought the ps3 That really depends on who's buying it... when the PS2 first came out and dvd's were pretty new my grandad bought a PS2 to play dvds on; and I can tell you he never bought any games for it. He's not bad at Wii games though.

Has anyone downloaded the theatrical trailer from the Playstation store? Im never influenced by advertisements but that trailer almost sold the game to me there and then. Its worth watching even if you already have MGS4. Theres this great line in it; "Evil is powerful....But courage is SOLID". Thing is ive never played MGS before, so I'm gonna buy MGS1, 2, and 3 first. But only if i can find them at a decent price on ebay... I'm not paying £30 for a PS1 game even if it is the awesomness that is MGS.

Ive got the demo from the PSN and it seems awesome. The graphics are first rate, and the gameplay is a great cross between tomb raider and gears of war. The only reasaon im holding out on buying it is because there's no multiplayer.

They are starting to grow on me, but when wearing certain things they look crap still. For example, try wearing dhides, your arms and legs look much too thin.

Maybe add Metal Gear solid 1 and 4?

I downloaded the latest drivers for my graphics card and this was fixed. If anyone else has this problem get the latest drivers for your card.

We're in doubt about the avatars, not the overall graphics. They look great.

I can display everything in the game window on max with no lag, but the colours on the kind of brown in inventories, banks, duel screens etc look messed up like this: Im using 1024x768 resolution, which is right for me. Im also using 32 bit colours, so its not that im only using 16 bit. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone know what I can do/ thanks.

I swear if it were up to some of you we'd still be way back in the beginnings of RSC where the most powerful armor was steel... so many of you seem to feel that change = bad no matter what it is. Change is bad when jagex rape the game just so they can make more money.

Try weilding and shotting a bow now. Looks [developmentally delayed]ed. Also why do we swing whips along behind us? Im all for better graphics, but the avatars didnt need changing as much as they have been, they could have just made them more detailed.

I love the rest of the graphics update apart from our new avatars. They look [developmentally delayed]ed. But I thought "fair enough, I'll just play low detail and it wont bother me". But of course they still look [developmentally delayed]ed on low detail as well. All can hope for is that because this is a beta stage they will be changed back or at least made to look less childish.

Is that one creature or as many as you want?

I didnt like the demo that much. The multiplayer is very unbalanced, vehicles/copters/artillery guns will rape you unless you use demolitions, snipers are considerably underpowered, plus EA are giving people the best guns at level 1 if they pay extra, rather than at level 25. The singleplayer seemed pretty generic and unexciting. The graphics were decent, and I did like being able to blow apart walls and fences to make alternate routes. This means that the game wont get old for a long time, but then personally I feel the game isnt that good anyway, especially compared to other Battlefeild games and games like Warhawk and COD4.

Im thinking of getting this. Does Metal Gear online actually rely on stealth or is it just run and gun?

Hopefully there wont be as many penis creatures when the full game is released, seen as people will have to pay for it. Unless there are unlimited characters allowed.

Nade launchers tend to fire wildly, its not due to any lack of aiming skill on my part. You can have the steadiest hands and the fastest reactions and still the nade will fire at some weird trajectorie. That said, the splash damage often at least wounds heavily. How good is the AK-47? I sometimes pick it up when sniping to replace my deagle, and it seems to have very high recoil. My freind swears by it but ive never used it as a primary weapon.
