  1. skills lamp give xp equal to 10 times your level, so unless you have 1 attack no joy there
  2. oh yes, any damage to a security guard or evil chicken will result in one xp, not seen many aggressive randoms since update though :?
  3. have you tried searching in a MAC manual or online help? i never owned a MAC so not sure, and don't use mouse keys on Windows either :?
  4. for cursing you wear metallic armour to lower mage att bonus and cast curse on npcs in multi-zones (preferably under attack) or stuck behind walls/in cages seeing as you get xp for failing or suceeding the curse and there are plenty of ranging spots for f2p, some people safe spot at ankous, or the ice giants under sarim also try get 43+ prayer for protect spells along with higher str, fast xp comes from flesh crawlers in f2p
  5. for the rarer stuff, some people charge the max trade limit per hour, some people lend for free, just try and find a rate you can both agree on
  6. possibly yes, would reduce profits though
  7. normal dragons can melee/dragon breath close range, only dragon breath long range and metal drags like bronze/iron will use a mixture in close range, melee/dragon breath unless they changed that as well
  8. if you weigh that little and using graahk for teleports, i doubt you'd need super energies can always use Karamja Gloves (3) for instant teleport under Shilo to cut down running time as well
  9. right, so smith the bars with mage (it's the way i normally do it) and then take them to a furnace and use the bars with the mould to make the cannonballs........ right ok.......... where would you reconmend i do this? (and please don't say al kahrid, i detest the place after spending several days there getting both mining and smithing up >.<) furnace nearest bank is port phas (ghost port) or i used Falador sometimes if i wanted to avoid Al Kharid, also just use bars on furnace as long as mould in bag, it'll give make cannonballs option
  10. like I said previously you could in taverly (before HD), and i haven't fought metallic dragons in a while so forgot the area's layout but anyway, a shield and anti-fire's your good to go anyway
  11. use the steel bars on a normal furnace with ammo mould in inventory slow but decent xp/profit
  12. you need the entire set for barrows specials to work and they happen randomly as well and I'm sure if you search forums, there is a penguin clan chat for tip.it
  13. all computers run processes in the background, normally keeps usage low though 10-13% but if one freezes up or glitches can make PC usage jump to 90-95% and cause severe lag with programs open
  14. just means the animation timing messed up, it happens with me sometimes. And you lag if pc is running too many processes at once gratz on slaying the dragon though
  15. a f2p pure needs fairly decent mage/range to stand a chance pking (60-70+) so train them both high, and some prayer levels for the protect spells are always welcome addition
  16. probably range them, can cause a lot of damage in melee range and chewed bones dropped by brutal green and mithril dragons only according to runescape wiki
  17. metal dragons are bronze, iron, steel and mithril dragons not blue green red or black dragons ontopic: They will only use the dragonbreath attack.. Remember to take antifire potions + antifire shield or dfs and you wont take any damage. I was pointing out, that if you can position a stalagmite between you and the dragon (normal or metallic) I don't think they're able to use flame-breath at all, and you can still mage them :wall: Of course the simple answer to stop the damage is two of these, mage protect, anti-fire shield or anti-fire potion
  18. if you mage them from behind a stalagmite, Taverly dungeon blue dragons at least :? , they do not attack back with flame-breath i killed 200+ in full Ahrims, no anti fires or shield or prayers and only lost hp when I moved through lagging mouse they same may apply to other dragons/locations, but I'm not 100% sure
  19. slayer monster's charm drop rate is higher than none slayer monster's? i think
  20. good idea and never heard of Casema though, I am English
  21. best spell for your level I presume, and not sure a metal dragons mage def, normal dragons are definitely a bad idea though ranging is safer bet for damage, can always try a few kills with magic to test though
  22. you're internet service provider? like BT, AOL, Talk Talk etc. and are you running any other internet pages except for runescape? and have you tried restarting the PC, they can sometimes develop bugs/glitches through normal use, mine did once where it wouldn't connect at all to wireless modem, so i had to restart them both
  23. hmm can try unplugging modem and seeing if that solves problem, or restarting pc mind if i ask what ISP you're using?
  24. seems a laggy connection, he should have fought back try closing any other programs running, and do fight in low detail if your member's take anti-fire pots and monkfish if your f2p, take lots of swordfish and str pot
  25. Absolutely. The number one most important thing is to pick something that you enjoy doing. I just don't want to mislead him, though. You can probably get 5 skillcapes in the time it takes to get Runecrafting. Crafting would be a excellent choice, but it's just not the most useful cape out there. I've got 92 Crafting and 99 Thieving, and from a practical point of view I can tell you that I've never actually USED my Crafting level to do anything. I originally wanted the level to be able to make Furies, but that's pointless now. On the other hand, I use Thieving on a pretty regular basis. I can tell you that it's pretty fun to 99-Thieving the heck out of everybody in Stealing creatiion. You are also right about Crafting being more AFK-able. Thieving involves a lot of clicking. He does have 99 Firemaking, so that's probably not as big an issue for him. i can see your points, i was only pointing out some counter-arguements to your points, to help him decide
