Please, don't shove things in my mouth. I'm not saying people should stop eating meat. I'm justifying cockfighting by what we do in animal factories. There's a huge difference with what you're implying and what I've been saying this whole time. This isn't about the treatment of fowl in factories though, something I am against too. I don't think anything that's living should be treated with any form of cruelty....even if it is a "stupid chicken"

The point is that it's making a living thing suffer for your own enjoyment which I both believe is pathetic and sadistic. The factory treatment is wrong too, but this isn't the thread for it. It's called "thoughts on COCKFIGHTING" not "thoughts on how chickens are treated" so bye bye that point Anyway, there's a difference between a need and a want. I need food to survive but I want fast food. I need water, I want soft drinks. I need chicken (or meat in general) because of the minerals and nutrients in it....however I would like it to be saturated in fat. Cockfighting just delays a chickens death, draws out it's pain all in the name of entertainment. Yeah it happens naturally, but putting two [roosters] together, with the knowledge that they'll go for each other, is cruel. Betting on it is also wrong, in my opinion. So we'll put err Reb's pet and Shadow's pet (I don't know if you have a pet or not, I'm just saying this) in a ring and watch them fight it out.....doesn't that upset you? Your dog who you've had for years is being torn apart, ripped and shredded, whimpering and howling in pain as people cheer it on. Even if it was going to die then surely it would be nicer to sever it's CNS than to allow the skin to be gradually ripped from it's body. To have it's flesh ripped, it's eyes removed...slowly. Does any of that seem right to you? Because if you can genuinely say that that would be ok with you I think you might have to go see a professional (I mean a phsychologist or a therapist of some kind)

Well then, why didn't Americans just move to Mexico to avoid being under British rule instead of wasting all that tea in Boston and fighting that war in 1775? They want a united Ireland, as it essentially was until 1801 before the Act of Union which brought all of Ireland under British rule. Now Britain is a predominantly protestant country while Ireland is mainly Catholic - this led to tensions and Irish independence movement began opposing British rule. The British parliament then divided Ireland in 1921, deliberately keeping a Protestant majority (many of whom originated from mainland Britain) in NI so it would remain loyal (thus Britain would retain some territory). However, in NI there is still a large Catholic population which resents British rule and their treatment under British rule. I've probably just butchered basic Irish history hopefully, somebody who is better read on this can join this thread and explain a little more clearly. In short another territorial dispute that can be traced back to Britain (see Palestine, Kashmir and various African nations for further glorious examples). edit - A policeman got shot in Craigavon. You pretty much got it there. No country likes to be under rule by another country, especially one so different from their own. Brits are still...err kinda hated here, but not as much as previously was. At least in my school that's the case. However, I will go back to my previous point. No country likes being under rule from another country. America have got independance. As far as I know so have Australia. Northern Ireland has it's own government yet isn't quite separate from the UK. I don't see why they can't just accept it though.....and this comes from a strong believer in a free Ireland. However as I've already said I have no problem with Britain....just don't like that they're still holding on to territory taken hundreds of years ago by some greedy men

The attacks were still low, however when isn't a drive by shooting cowardly? I'm not defending it but they must have had some twisted courage to attack outside an army base! Now, I'm Irish (Republic), not that it matters much but I don't care about the country you're from. My mum lived in England for most of her childhood so I have nothing against English people. My cousin (lived in Galway) is now married to someone from Northern Ireland. There's nothin good about these attacks, however, for future reference you might want to get some facts right The religion thing is also stupid. Also,anyone who is addicted to Edward needs a brain scan I also think that they should just let it go, it's going to lose popularity....I mean it's not that great a series is it? And as far as I've seen films actually lose popularity as they go further in a series (especially total romance) because the "director" just tries to please different people....lovely demise isn't it? And another thing, any violent scenes will probably be censored in the discreet way that film-makers do. You know, zoom in on a character's face, register the shock then go back. A little fake blood, but otherwise the hero (the invincible should I say?) is unharmed and is blocking the body from view

Ok all you Americans out there, feel free to start a new sport. It's called "non-American hunting". The goal is to hunt down and kill as many foreigners as possible, or capture them. Same thing, different context You really think that when animals get slaughtered, it's quick and painless? No man. I've seen goats, cows, pigs, chickens, get slaughtered. The only way it can be quick and painless is if you shoot them in the head. How many do slaughterhouses do you think wastes a bullet for each? Pretty much none. When you slaughter an animal, you rip the jugular first and they slowly die. There is nothing quick or painless about that. Quicker than the gratingly slow pain that occurs through numerous wounds. Jugular is cut, ok I admit it probably happens, so i admit I was wrong, but again look at my previous sentence Err so rooster is not killed slowly so long as no human is harmed? Umm we're still talking about pitting the birds against each other in a fight (often to the death) right? No, I'm not saying we don't have dominance. However, just through dominace can we do what we like? Is it right for a king to murder someone he believes is in the wrong? Is it right for a dictator of any kind to make someone suffer because they've wrong HIM or HER?

Well, personally I would say that it all depends on hat the person likes but as I have to decide... I would say quest cape. A skill cape can consist of simply clicking mindlessly (not always the case I know) and once you get 99 that's it. Whereas with quest cape, not only does it require more than 1 skill (including farming, herblore, slayer, agility*) it also requires to continuous work to keep. So, for me at least, it's quest cape NOTE: Farming is a long, side-along skill. Slayer takes a very long time, as does agility and herblore makes big-time loss
