Nah definitely not slayer or HP. When you train slayer, you are slowly training 3 to 6 different skills at a time. Slayer+HP+Range Slayer+HP+Magic Slayer+HP+One melee stat, or all 3 if controlled whip Plus a little bit of summoning if you use Bunyip/Tortoise or whatever. RC is ftl as far as xp goes and it would be stupid to put 400k xp towards hp or slayer This logic is wrong. You can get more RC exp and profit in an hour than you could from Slayer. Slayer is hands down the slowest skill to train in the game([possibly 2nd slowest with mining taking the #1 spot). Though you are losing out on 400k's worth of melee exp (which would of been a good chunk of exp, at least 1m exp I think) you are gaining the fastest 400k slayer exp you could of ever gotten otherwise. Take the time it takes you to get 400k slayer exp, you can grind out more exp in the combat stats than you could of ever gotten with training them with slayer. Thus making slayer the most logical choice in my eyes. You can also spend it on mining which is around the same speed as if no slower than slayer, since it maxes out at 50k exp in an hour. Mining can be 70k+ per hour..... yes but thats very intense. u have to have a really sensitive mouse and move really fast. normally its 40k an hr on average. id kno cuz im training slowly to 99 (80 atm)

very strange....i was surfing the RSOF and the prices of drag plate are around 30-33m. does this mean its not going to rise and be like 200m street price? and explain these "shards"

and thats to the fact that most ppl go for fletch/fm/cook as their first 99s Showing, obviously, that the person in question does want to work for their 99, or else they wouldn't go and train it. :wall: Remind me again of your criterion as to WHY cooking, fletching, and firemaking are the only 3 "n00b capes." because they are the most common ones. yes, you might say strength has 50k+ members, but str has a purpose. the point of 99 str is so you can hit your ultimate max. the point of 99 fm/cook/fletch is because they are cheap and easy to obtain. and if the person is willing to do that little to get a 99, they dont deserve it. also, if youre going to put in that effort in the first place, why not just put in more effort and get a good 99 that you really want, not one thats easy to obtain

the party hat serves a purpose, and that is that you can make enough money in rs to afford one. the getting of a skill just for a 99/cape serves no purpose but to show how lame you are, getting a noob 99 because you want a cape and dont want to actually work for a good one in a skill u truly enjoy.

here we go. back to the lame old argument of "at least i have one." no, you don't. and chances r that cape is untrimmed. so what does that say? "I'm too lazy to train a real skill to 99 so I'm taking the easy way out." if u could have one skill cape, I doubt it would b fm/fletch/cook. it'd be probably either rc/mining/slayer/prayer/hp/summoning. but then why isn't one of those capes the one on ur back right now? because ur too lazy to put the effort into that skill, so u choose one of the noob 3 skills and by getting 99 in them believe that u deserve bragging rights, when in reality ur putting urself lower than those who don't even have a cape and just degrading urself. what's even worse is that u think just because u have one of [noob] capes, u can brag over those without one, and to be honest, u don't, and they ARE allowed (and should) flame u for getting 99 in that skill.

You're associating us with noobs? Thank you very much, you really know how to make people more likely to agree with you. Basically people that power-level just for a cape are not considered to have done anything to deserve to be shown respect for their "effort". How many tens of thousands of players have 99 capes in Firemaking/Cooking/Fletching? Their numbers are constantly increasing, thus devaluing the capes for those skills even further. Not to mention that they're buyable skills, and that isn't helping. You want "respect" for a 99? Go get it in a skill like Mining or Fishing. You said you were going for 99 Defence but decided to abandon it because it wasn't fast enough for you. You can't honestly expect to get the recognition you want by taking the easy way out. will you marry me? haha but yea, u summed up everything I was going to say. I'm currently working on 99 mining as my first 99. I chose that because not many people train it and I like it a lot. I think it is one of the best skills and by far the best to have 99 in

just a little while ago (i didnt screenie cuz i wasnt looking :wall: ) i now have over 2m exp in mining. 2,031,710 to be exact as of this second and day.

volatile tool has no animation for mining and its very slow....

i use guides 100%. but thats because i do the "neccesary quests" (like desert treasure, hero's, and others that unlock things).

is the pickaxe fixed yet? i need a faster way to train to 99 with granite and the exp boost will defenitely help.

+1000000000000000 mil geepee for phr33 plawks lol...but in all seriousness, i agree 99 str completely pwns 99 fletch. and thats because its USEFUL. theres no boost WHATSOEVER with 99 fletch compared to 85 fletch. you dont fletch bows faster, but when 99 str is compared to 85, you hit higher with 99 str. now, i also dont like fletch capers because everyone has it, and like 3hitmage4u said, people get it because its EASY. thats why my first 99 will be mining. because its not easy, not AFK-able without botting, and not many people have it. even less than slayer.

yes. but it also depends on what that player does. if he GWD, then hed prefer herb so he can make his own sara brews. if he likes RC but doesnt want to buy ess, hed want mining. it all depends on what the player's preference is. fletchers would find woodcutting very useful, and cookers would find fishing very useful. it all varies
