  1. I voted Three Other. It's odd to see that the majority of people who voted, are the only ones that play Runescape in their families. This seems odd, to me, because I'm part of a four-person family who are all addicted to Runescape. : It's fun to be able to talk about the game with your close relatives. Share some stories, ask advice, etc. It kind of makes you enjoy the game even more, actually knowing some people, firsthand, who enjoy our beloved Runescape. A family of geeks, more like. :XD: , Skiittles11
  2. I find most of my younger Runescape friends to make great company. I'm not exactly much older myself, but they always have a certain energy and excitement about them, that I don't always have anymore. It's not exactly only the young that have this, but the newer players, as well. I also find myself agreeing with Das. I agree that Jagex has been doing all they can to satisfy our, the players', needs. Almost all of the updates Jagex comes out with are of consequence to the thousands of suggestions sent by us almost daily. Their mission is most definitely to please us, the customer, the player. A lot of us, though, still don't see that, Skiittles11
  3. Free-To-Play status is something to be proud of because there aren't even close to as many people with a lot of level 99's as there is in the Members community. A lot of people will also stay down in F2P because they enjoy hanging out with friends they made on the path to getting their high levels. Everyone must have their own individual reasons, Skiittles11
  4. Reading articles of other people's opinions makes me feel like I fit in with the crowd. I find myself agreeing with a lot of the people who send in Letters to the Editor. : Although, I don't think my account even existed in the, "Good old days." Nice writing, Skiittles11
  5. That seems earily like a sales pitch :uhh: Lol. Wow, now that I read it over, it actually kind of does. Sorry, it's not meant to sound like that. I suppose it's because I like Yahoo! a lot? Yahoo! for the world? :XD: , Skiittles11
  6. You know, I wonder if Betrayal at Falador will be sold in bookstores. It would be pretty cool to see a Runescape-based novel at Borders. : I suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens in the near future. The future feels a long way off, Skiittles11
  7. My homepage is, not surprisingly, just good old Yahoo! I like opening up my internet browser on Mozilla Firefox and being welcomed by the the Yahoo! website. Mostly because I can check out some of the latest news in entertainment, sports, or even popular online videos. They've also got weather, horoscopes, and even some of my favorite funny comics, like the stuff you see in a newspaper. Yahoo! is the newspaper that greets me everyday. No subscription needed, Skiittles11
  8. Hellen Keller never felt love  Did she? Maybe even touch is enough for someone to fall in love. : I have no clue. :-s , Skiittles11
  9. Are you saying blind or deaf people can't be in true love since they cant see/hear their "significant other"? :shame: You said you may be wrong, and you are. EDIT: I forgot to add my contribution, here goes. I believe the people at world one Lumbridge in particular have put an awful stereotype on Runescape "dating" I don't see anything wrong with it if you want someone to accompany you in your role playing. But I do know that some couples go to houses and "do it" that's just ridiculous. So yea, Summary: I don't see anything wrong in it, its their lives as long as it doesn't progress to Runescape sex  Excuse me, but blind people can hear their companions, and deaf people can see them. My opinion is just that if you don't know a person, their personality, for real, how do you know that you are truly in love with them until you first meet. Even the blind, or deaf meet their significant other before they know they're truly in love. I don't like arguing. #-o , Skiittles11
  10. Love is an affection you feel for another person. You love your mom based on her looks? It's mostly a person's personality a person will fall in love with. It can be impossible to even reap the benefits of a person's full blown personality over an online game where conversation is done by typing text. Loving a family member is a natural occurrence, Skiittles11
  11. I don't believe love is even possible unless you have heard your significant other's voice, and actually laid eyes on him/her. Those are two factors that a person would fall in love with. Including their personality, and the small things they may do, like twirl their hair when they're nervous. These aren't even possible to know if you have only met on a game, such as Runescape. Many factors must come into play, in my opinion, for the fire to be started. I believe these people that fall in love in Runescape, actually fall in love when they agree to meet and first lay eyes on one another. I may be wrong, though. Nothing is impossible I suppose, Skiittles11 P.S. W00T I'm Rat Meat now. :XD:
  12. I'm laughing at myself right now. I was wondering why I couldn't find a reply written by the Chaos Elemental. :wall: It was an anagram, duh! I didn't even consider it. Hopefully, we will be able to unlock the Chaos Elemental's prediction of the events to come. I'm very curious to know what is coming in the future, Skiittles11
  13. Congratulations, all of you, on receiving your books. : It's good to know a lot of people are actually purchasing the Runescape-based novel. I think I'll be getting it soon, also. Hopefully, Betrayal at Falador is a good read. If not, I'll probably read the whole thing anyways, Skiittles11
  14. Congratulations, tripsis. Good job everyone who participated. They were all very good banners. You were winning from the get go tripsis. =D> , Skiittles11
  15. I'm one of the people who play a more relaxed game of Runescape. I switch around from skill to skill so that I can enjoy them all. I enjoy chatting with everyone around me, and usually am the first one to try and start a conversation. I agree that the slow and discovery learning is much more enjoyable for me, but everyone is different. I like to socialize on Runescape, and have fun with people, but there are those who don't, and so they might find the calculated route much more to their liking. "To each his own." Opinions always differ, Skiittles11
  16. Umm...So that they don't become unhealthy by spending countless hours sitting on the computer inside their homes? It would prove to make sure that the children playing Runescape will get off and go be the active, and energized young pups they're meant to be. : Or maybe they'll refuse and just go play another MMORPG elsewhere. :XD: After their time is up, Skiittles11 And then change to another MMO while quitting RS=less money for Jagex=less updates. EDIT: It's the parents' job to prevent their children from passing too much time on the computer...Not Jagex's By creating a Parental Control time lapse option, Jagex allows the parents to set an amount of time they would like to allow their children to play Runescape. If their children swap to another MMORPG, then the parents can do their job manually, and kick them off of the computer for a while. Therefore, Jagex is helping parents do their job, easier =D> , Skiittles11
  17. Ok...why would you want to limit their playtime??? Umm...So that they don't become unhealthy by spending countless hours sitting on the computer inside their homes? It would prove to make sure that the children playing Runescape will get off and go be the active, and energized young pups they're meant to be. : Or maybe they'll refuse and just go play another MMORPG elsewhere. :XD: After their time is up, Skiittles11
  18. If Runescape came out on a console such as the Xbox, or Playstation, wouldn't it be just like playing on your computer? What's the point if it's just as easy to play online? My reaction would be to check it out, and see if it was even worth it for Jagex. I'm actually kind of having a hard time figuring out what you're trying to ask. Do you mean if they made a whole separate game without the feature of being a MMORPG (Massive Multi-Player Online Role-Playing Game), would I buy it? Maybe, if it looked interesting enough for me to spend my hard-earned cash for it. If it was just the same old beloved Runescape, minus the MMORPG part, I would definitely not spend money on it. It just wouldn't be the same without the ability to make conversation with old friends, or the ability to make new ones. Runescape, in my opinion, would make a better hand-held game, anyways. Well, that felt like a lot more typing than it looks , Skiittles11
  19. First of all, good find SirDavidm. It doesn't seem like the Parental Control feature will have any effect on anyone above age 13. Parental Control will most likely prove to make the parents feel safer (As Quick Chat did) when their children are playing Runescape, and may even come with the bonus of boosting their registration numbers another 40%. That sounds good to me, as long as my game play isn't affected. :XD: Hopefully, I am right about Parental Control affecting only those under age 13. If so, good luck all of those below the age of 13, Skiittles11
  20. Here's a link to the Runescape High Definition glitches topic in this forum. The New Runescape - Glitches in H-D! It's the 15th post down from the top by Beethovens29. I believe he even tells you how to do it. While you're there check out all of the other H-D glitches that people have posted. : Good find bbalking, Skiittles11
  21. Runescape isn't exactly a game that can really even have an age specification. It can be a mature game, or an immature one, all depending on the people around you, the community. I rather enjoy Runescape, and its quirky sense of humor. Runescape for me is all ages, Skiittles11
  22. I enjoyed the new tutorial very much. I found that its being in quest form made me feel a lot more involved, and the cut scenes were very fun to watch. I was given much more information on all aspects of the game, and killed a Chaos Druid at Level 3! =D> Good job on this one Jagex, Skiittles11
  23. At the moment it doesn't really seem to matter what has become of Tutorial Island. We all must have faith that it still lies in the middle of one of Runescape's oceans, somewhere. Because of the fact that there is no way for us to check, and see if our beloved Tutorial Island is still there, it is vital that we all believe it still exists. Tutorial Island is the root of almost all of the population's (Runescape's) existence, the starting point for all of us curious adventurers. Because of that fact I am sure Jagex will bring it back to life, and we will see our Island again, someday. I have faith. Do you? :-s , Skiittles11
  24. Seems like you are thirsting for a lot of knowledge, CookMePlox. : This is a pretty sound idea. [Random Event] Prison Pete [Reward] Four uncut emeralds [What you were doing] Cooking Trout I guess, "Knowledge is power." Good luck, Skiittles11
  25. I have not found Quick Chat to be useful, as of late. It doesn't seem to be a necessity at all. I suppose I've never been muted, so Quick Chat may only be useful when someone is in a certain position of status (Such as being muted). I am sure as my Runescape life goes along, I will use Quick Chat at some period in time, Skiittles11
