The amount of work Mod Jane would have to do if she posted it in General would easily be 10 times more. Remember, these names are getting freed for everyone, not just HLFers.

The thread was made so that Mod Jane could get a list of the more "desirable" display names, identify why they haven't been freed, potentially modify criteria for freeing up names, and then release as many names as possible for all players. There was no special "promotion" where anyone posting on the thread was going to get a free display name change, and any display names that get freed up in this process can be nabbed by anyone (potentially even the name-sniping bots, though Jane is trying to ensure that this does not happen).

You got to put in that work before August the 20th, though :P

How is this different from any other boss like Corp/KK? If you had crap LSP to start off with you're not going to get anything anyway, whether you go to Vorago or Nex. Tectonic drops are 2M each, which change LSP much more than most Nex drops as it is. Would probably help Vorago a lot if someone went and manually adjusted the GE prices to 2100/850

Vorago's drops can be distributed with LS; you don't have to be the best DPS/best tank on a phase to have a chance at the drop if your team uses LS.

KK needs 2 players to kill and only gives 1 drop. A 10 man Vorago team receiving 5 drops would be at the same drop ratio, lol. This is the next problem, his normal drops are pretty stupid compared to Nex/QBD. It would be much better if each of his 5 drops was worth as much as a Nex drop; of course, you could also argue that the bulk of the profit comes from the typically 6-8 tectonic energy per kill (6-8M). His drops do work on lootshare though, but people going for the summoning stone can't make use of it. What's the difference anyway between him randomly giving drops to 5 players, as opposed to one guy at Nex getting the kill in FFA/LS?

It seem's pretty logical though. Sliske tried to take the player to be a wight before, and any update to Barrows would directly be tied to Sliske (it is his stuff after all). ROTM was a GM quest and Glacors aren't the most difficult things in the world. That's all fine and true, but the Sliske quest is a Master Quest, not a GM quest. That doesn't mean that it can't give us a new boss, but usually this sort of stuff is saved for the big stories (i.e., GM). If they wanted to make it anywhere near as accessible as they've made a ton of the new team bosses, it won't even have a quest requirement :P
